Can anyone tell how to backup EFS folder without custom recovery?
I see this is possible for LG G3, but can not find a command for LG G4
Thank you

Great news! Did you try it in LG G4 H815? Where is the backup saved?
Sorry to ask you, but I do not have yet this device, tried this in my SGS3, but can not find where the backup is saved, not sure it was succesfully.

Sorry, haven't tried it yet. I have the Eurpoean H815. Flash Fire isn't tested on the G4 so you can't store the backup on an external storage like the MicorSD Card. Only internal storage option is available atm. But that's all I can tell you. Since it's untested on LG devices, I'm hesitating to be honest. The EFS partition is nothing you want to mess around with.

CWM?

Has there been a new CWM developed? The current one I'm using is AT&T CWM, and it lacks "Wipe Battery Stats", as well as has some errors in it as I can't mount the internal SD and connect it to the computer while in CWM.

It doesn't have wipe battery data cause modern fuel gauge doesn't need to have battery data wiped. That's rumour and never changed anything since 2009.
In rom manager choose the one for E975. It looks like the early version of what SK8 put out.

Looks like the CWM in Rom Manager got removed for Optimus G. It's now classified as unsupported... Back to using Sk8's CWM and it's built for the E970 and not E971/3/5/6/7, which gives errors and doesn't mount correctly.
Cwm works for me perfect :*
And wipe battery stats: go to play store!

I just checked, you still can flash cwm with rom manager premium.so,i don't know where is this coming from.but you don't need rom manager, don't forget you install cwm with freegee, when you unlock the bootloader.you have it all:cwm, cwm touch and twrp.what do you need more?:

I used ROM Manager Free version. Said Optimus G ain't supported.
I'll check the FreeGee.. I totally forgot about FreeGee having CWM or TWRP.
Well, i bought the app to support devs. It's the least i could do for them.
FreeGee says my Optimus G isn't supported. Could it be because I'm on custom ROM? Or am I supposed to use the beta one? Assuming the one available on Market didn't get updated.
Lol,if you are on custom rom,you are already unlocked and rooted. Why do you need freegee?

Because I need a proper CWM... Which is the point of this thread..
What is proper cwm for you?we have 3 : twrp 2.5.0(latest version),cwm and cwm touch, last to are 6.3.0.
You can find the images here on xda and flash them with rom manager premium or rom toolbox pro.you can do it via adb too, just look for proper commands.but it's easier and safer with one of those apps.

Can you link it? I can't find CWM 6.3.0. I'm using sk8's CWM for AT&T Optimus G, which always give mounting errors. I've never been able to find it

Send me a pm if I don't get back to you. I'll add an option to freegee for flashing recovery only.

I would send you an pm in the days
Can you add the function to flash an other recovery without the unlock funktion
Apps as goomanager, recoverymanager or rom manager cant find twrp and cwm only by rom manager

I found CWM 6.3.0 but it comes in a .img file. Any possible way for be to flash that without having to go through the fastboot process? It's very confusing and long to use.
Rom manager premium-buy it-flash the image-refund.There is no flashable zip yet.And i don't think it will be.
I installed it, but can't find a way to flash it with ROM Manager

Isn't it the same when he cannot find the directory or folder not there? Only problem is if he even bothered to search thoroughly.
To OP:
If you still have problems finding the folder, don't bother looking for it. Just do a fresh install of the stock ROM using flashtool and you should be able to fix it. Note that this method will wipe your user data and remove your root, so you will need to root your phone again after that.

You can still use Titanium Backup to back up any apps and their data, including the save data for games.

BootLoop

(I'm a noob, please keep that in mind) Whenever i want to install a rom with android 4.3 or above, my phone goes into a bootloop. It plays the startup animation from the rom and then stays stuck. I tried deleting cache and did a factory reset. When i install a 4.2 rom, my wifi doesn't work.. This happend after i unlocked the bootloader, i thought it would be over after I installed a custom rom but it didn't. So I'm kinda stuck to 4.1 now. I don't have any backups made from my stock rom... (retarded). Someone please give me the golden tip
Thanks in advance.
HTC one X
Edit: one thing I forgot to mention, when I was running 4.2.2 stock my wifi was working fine.

Unroot without reflashing rom?

Hey. So i just noticed that Snapchat doesnt work on rooted phones anymore I am using Fulmics 6.5 with root ofcourse, and i cannot sign in. So i was thinking of removing my root, logging in to my snapchat account and then flash the superSU.zip file to get root again, Would that work? And how do i get unrooted without reflashing the whole rom?
First of all I don't use snap chat and I don't know if it is bug or some kind of root detector.
The only thing I would recommend is
Do a Nandroid backup
Flash Xposed
Install Rootcloack
And try if it's working... If not restore backup cause I think we should use Xposed only if it's necessary for our needs.
I hope I could help you

Okey. Apparently snapchat has started using root detection when tryin to login, according to difference sites where i saw it so it sucks
Yeah will try install xposed and try rootcloax Thanks
Nope rootclock isn't going to work . They are now using safety net... I believe the only way to bypass that is majisk
Or SuperSU with suhide

Backup of phone's stock ROM including stock recovery

Dear All,
I was wondering if it would be possible to make a complete backup of my LG G4's stock ROM and recovery using TWRP (by booting into TWRP with fastboot, but not flashing it and then making a full nandroid backup including recovery).
Does anybody know if this is possible (I haven't tried it)?

Thanks for your reply - it's good to know a method exists (especially for a locked device).
Just out of interest, would the TWRP method work?

TWRP requires an unlocked device.
fastboot boot will not work on Nougat based firmware.
