Has there been a new CWM developed? The current one I'm using is AT&T CWM, and it lacks "Wipe Battery Stats", as well as has some errors in it as I can't mount the internal SD and connect it to the computer while in CWM.

It doesn't have wipe battery data cause modern fuel gauge doesn't need to have battery data wiped. That's rumour and never changed anything since 2009.
In rom manager choose the one for E975. It looks like the early version of what SK8 put out.

Looks like the CWM in Rom Manager got removed for Optimus G. It's now classified as unsupported... Back to using Sk8's CWM and it's built for the E970 and not E971/3/5/6/7, which gives errors and doesn't mount correctly.
Cwm works for me perfect :*
And wipe battery stats: go to play store!

I just checked, you still can flash cwm with rom manager premium.so,i don't know where is this coming from.but you don't need rom manager, don't forget you install cwm with freegee, when you unlock the bootloader.you have it all:cwm, cwm touch and twrp.what do you need more?:

I used ROM Manager Free version. Said Optimus G ain't supported.
I'll check the FreeGee.. I totally forgot about FreeGee having CWM or TWRP.
Well, i bought the app to support devs. It's the least i could do for them.
FreeGee says my Optimus G isn't supported. Could it be because I'm on custom ROM? Or am I supposed to use the beta one? Assuming the one available on Market didn't get updated.
Lol,if you are on custom rom,you are already unlocked and rooted. Why do you need freegee?

Because I need a proper CWM... Which is the point of this thread..
What is proper cwm for you?we have 3 : twrp 2.5.0(latest version),cwm and cwm touch, last to are 6.3.0.
You can find the images here on xda and flash them with rom manager premium or rom toolbox pro.you can do it via adb too, just look for proper commands.but it's easier and safer with one of those apps.

Rom manager premium-buy it-flash the image-refund.There is no flashable zip yet.And i don't think it will be.

HI guys,
I came across this korean website blog.naver.com/PostView.nhn?blogId=dlrbdnjs10&logNo=10168561431, I wonder if I could flash this after unlocking bootloader with FreeGee?
I am on E97510f-SEA-XX, would FreeGee be able to unlock this bootloader?
Thanks!
Unlock device with FreeGee.
Place the rom and gapp's at the root of the internal SD card.
Reboot into recovery, by pressing the volume button up and holding the power button down at the same time.
Do a nandroid/backup!!!
Do a factory reset.
Wipe cache.
Wipe Dalvik cache in advanced options.
Then head into mounts an storage.
Format system.
Format data.
Format cache.
Then go into the install menu, flash the rom and gapp's.
Remember to do yet another factory reset, before you reboot!!!
Check this out... http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=1842 and this... http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=1843
I actually know the steps/procedure.
What i am unsure is 1) whether FreeGee can unlock this version of mine. 2) if i could flash the liquid smooth rom (notice no one posted it on Android Development sub-forum
Thanks man
Oh okey
This site is down for a few hours, but check it out when it's up and running again... http://lap.so/vbfe
There you will find liquid rom and carbon rom, for our device (e975) plus a few others and they do work
And by the way if you have the e975 version, you will be able to use Freegee to unlock device
I recommend yu nt to format system/boot on safer side.....!! also run freegee once to unlock the bootloader and take a backup of the freegee files to lappy/pc.... It may help yu at some tym im future....,!!

If you follow the steps we mentioned before, to the letter,
then yes, you can flash any compatible rom.
However, if you don't feel confident enough doing this,
then i would adwise you to, go trough the more detailed guidelines/discriptiones.
If you look hard enough, you will find these guidelines posted here, in this same general section,

a few more questions.
- what is the difference between the free and paid version of FreeGee in playstore? The free version will unlock too right?
- will Houcha kernel (forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2246152) work with liquid smooth?
No difference.the paid version is maid so we can support the devs.i bought it just for that.consider it a donation to shelnutt2.
About houcha kernel,i'm not sure, but if liquidsmooth source is official cm10.1,then it won't work.different sources,cm is based on lg's source, while houcha is based on a modifies nexus4(mako) source.so it won't work.

I installed the last Cwm recovery 6.0.3.0 , when I open Rom Manager it asks me to selected the version but there just appear version 2.x.x.x or 3.x.x.x When I select 3..... it says me I use the recovery 5.3.2.--- and it doesn't recognise the real one I use why? then It tells me to upgrade it and I pay to upgrade and if I select reboot to recovery via Rom Manager it blocks and then it says app closed and it reboots to recovery , how is it possible is a problem of Rom Manager??

But it is always good to notify the app developer if you face any issues with an app.
He might know something, and give you a fix.

Lol. Rom manager works just fine. You don't know how to use it. After you flash cwm with rom manager, you are done. You don't have to use any cwm.settings after. Just reboot to recovery,NOT CHOOSE CWM. If you don't know how to use an app,it doesn't mean it's broken.
After you flashed cwm with rom manager,my advice is to use it only to search for updates if you are on cm rom. If you don't have cm rom, never use it again. If you are on stock, look for quickboot app on praystore™. It's very handy when it comes to reboot options.
Again, rom manager works fine, but it's not for newbies.

Hmm... I never had to do that. Like i said, I rooted and unlocked straight from F180, then flashed multiple e975 ROMs multiple times via CWM with no problems whatsoever. The device is always identified as E975. Didn't have to do anything extra. Just sharing my experience...

The freegee backup is not nessesary for anything. If your phone is running stock firmware, i recommend root it using framaroot, and unlock bootloader with freegee. This will install a recovery.
If you already have TWRP, delete script lines of CWM recovery and install it. If you dont know how to do it tell me.

Freegee backup is your efs and boot files for later use if required. Save them in dropbox or something they are very handy in bad times.
If you are already unlocked with freegee than you have a custom recovery just boot into recovery and update the recovery using zip. Like the cwm one I have posted.
Yes if you are not unlocked, use the old freegee.apk

1 i want to know how to return to stock rom after flashing custom rom
2 i need a carbon rom for my fone n the method of flashing it
3 i want to know how to downgrade my os
plxxxx help me i am new to these things
thank you
Start with reading FAQ
THIS to reflash stock (get kdz from HERE)
And for downgrading / upgrading just flash the ROM you want. No different partition layout, only the way it's mounted (cm10.x and higher will use media/0/ as default)
Going a little off topic here but that means if I'm running cm11 nightly whatever I could just go flash cm10.1.3 and the compatible gapps?

Whit root browser check if your files are in the folders data/media or data/media/0

When you flash a new kind of rom, always wipe data/factory reset and wipe cache and dalvik cache. Hope this helps.

10H EUROPEAN OPEN
Sorry OP for threadstealing
@roscatel:
Yes, I already have 10H. But after root and deletion of some apps, if I try to reboot the device it wont turn back on. It shows LG-logo and "Security error" and then i have to flash kdz again. Tried twice. Plus 10B was the fastest and most stable stockrom for me! Anyone have a good dl-link?
