Sim reader broken  - LG Optimus G Pro

Hello,
I have a problem with "LG G Pro Lite" sim reader. I doesn't read sim, as not inserted.
I have found that there are two contact pins of the reader that are bent, and one of them is broken, so I decided desoldering the reader to put a new one (I have not yet received), but when I unsoldered the reader, one pin is broken in motherboard.
Tomorrow I will upload photo of motherboard. For now I leave a picture of the affected pin, but I need but I need someone to check with a tester if the pin has continuity with some other point of the plate, to repair it.
Thank you very much

Damaged parts in my prophet

I previously bought a used prophet.
It was working fine when suddenly it randomly wouldn't take any touch command on the screen (when i click with stylus nothing happens)
I opened it trying to fix it, found out the flat cable between the board and the screen was previously damaged and soldered.
Now i ended up with a damaged flat cable and a damaged battery contacts part (the part that has the battery contacts on the board) which broke off.
Do you guys think I can find these parts? and is the flat cable a replaceable part or do i have to change the whole screen?
Any suggestion is most appreciated

You can get the flat cable separately (no need to change the LCD if it is still working).
The battery contact on the PCB will be a problem. How handy are you with a soldering iron?
PM me for more details.

I suggest you try to post a Wanted ad in the Marketplace section. If anyone has one to offer, that's your best chance.
I´m sure I saw today someone selling Universal parts, not sure if motherboard...

You may use some thin cable (to use as jumper) in case the pads are broken and connect to nearest point.
Also you can buy a cheap card reader which has the same mini-usb connector. Desolder it and connect to the uni if your usb connector itself is broken.
the USB connector itself is sold on eBay for around $5, works very well on Uni or any device with the same connector. However, if the pads are damaged, it might be impossible to have one reattached.
I can offer Mda Pro's motherboard. Working good. Once fell down and display was damaged..
Message me if good for you.
yeah, some of the pads a fubar, thanks for the help people
Broken USB repair
I notice you live in the UK, I can fix the USB connector for you. Even if the pads are missing there are some test points on the board that you can solder fine wires to. I have done half a dozen of these repairs so far, this seems to be the most common problem with the Uni, even more so than borken screens. One of these days I'll have to do a 'how to' guide for it.
that would be nice, my soldering skills are up to the job, i just dont know how too, if you drop me a pm or something we can discuss it further
thanks
Guys, if you could jot down what you do and perhaps a piccy of the solder points, this would be great to put in the Wiki.
Hello people,
If its any help, my usb connection came off twice. both times it was resoldered back on with a standard soldering iron with the tip made to a point, and it still works OK. I found it easy to do, just needs a steady hand.

thats all well and good. but the copper pads that are used to solder the connector to the mainboard are fubar, so no amount of soldering will help

Digitizer with or with IC?

I'm looking to buy a replacement digitizer because mine has a crack in it. Now I can buy 2 different kinds on eBay, with or without the IC on the cable. Is there any way to check which one I have without taking out the digitizer? Because I don't have the tools to do this and they come with the screen I can buy.
.................................ciao
Old but since no one answered I will.
Remove SIM card and if under it you can see IC ,you need digitizer with IC
I saw instructions on:
Code:
askmefast.com/How_can_I_see_on_my_HTC_Wildfire_if_the_digitizer_is_with_IC_or_not-qna1265945.html
I found it out myself: You have to remove the back (6 screws, breaks void), behind the the simcard reader is a small opening in the circuit board and if there is a black cable, you have no IC. If there is some microchip, then you need the version with the IC. Thanks anyways

So no way to tell without disassembly? One post says you have to disassemble and one doesnt...
Here's mine.. Anyone tell if I need the IC or not?

[Q] Bent pin in sim tray

So my xperia play 4g has bent sim card pins. They arent missing...just bent. I was wondering if i could unbend them or if there is a way to replace it without replacing the entire mother board, or even if i do have to replace the entire motherboard....where can i get one? I bent them because of those stupid micro sim adapters...never again!
I had that happen the first time I got my play. I ended up getting it replaced. Did you happen it put the adapter in the phone with no sim card in it? I've been using an adapter now for a while with no issues since the first usage other than having to use a paperclip to remove the adapter cause it is slightly thicker than a normal sim card and sticks.
exactly..i was dumb enough to put the sim adapter in the slot without a sim card in it....when i tried to pull it out it came out...but i wasnt able to put my normal sim in. i can see it with a flashlight...its bent. i need to find a way to remedy this.
Goodluck man like I said I ended up getting a replacement phone.
SIM Issue
I have inserted working Sim Card (not AT&T) and when I restart my phone it still shows me "emergency mode" no Sim. I was trying to unlock my phone.
I have cut my old regular SIM card to Micro and use the same adapter which came with the Sony Ion LT28at. OR I don't have to use that adapter.
I am stuck now because I purchased this phone from ebay (no return).
Is it a Sim card try problem or other? ?
Please help..

It depends on if its really noticeable, repair sim card reader requires replacing the whole board. Although you can buy sim card readers and you can try soldering them on yourself 9/10 it doesnt work
If you can make them believe that your sim card one day stopped reading they might repair it for you
I suggest taking it in to your carrier to get it repaired
