[Q] Phone won't wake? - G4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Wife's Sprint G4 is only a month or two old, stored in an otterbox since the day we got it on stock firmware.
Anyone else having an issue where the screen literally won't wake up or turn on? I've removed battery and led pulses blue. I've fixed it in the past by repeatedly removing battery and plugging it into a power source ( even if the battery is fully charged ).
Just wondering if this is a known issue, or if anyone has experienced similar.

[Q] No power, no charging LED, no Fastboot

Howdy, guys.
I've got my One rooted, unlocked, and was running a CM10.2 nightly build. Everything was working fine until yesterday, when my battery started to rapidly discharge. I woke up with 100% battery, and after about 15 minutes of playing music it was down to 30%. I recharged it and started noticing rapid battery loss, about 10% per 15 minutes when the phone was idle.
Worried that this had to do with my ROM, I flashed the Eclipse Google Play Edition v1.2 ROM. However, the drain issue continued. I decided to let the phone fully discharge, then try powering it up again.
When it was fully discharged, I tried plugging in the phone. No LED came on and I couldn't turn the phone on. I've let it sit for over 2 hours now with the same result.
Some posts with similar symptoms have mentioned plugging the phone into a Windows PC and experiencing the "USB device plugged in" sound alert. I am not having any such luck, and what I currently have is a very aesthetically pleasing paperweight with no function whatsoever.
Has anyone else experienced a similar issue, or found a fix?
none
I would take that back to Verizon were i you, sounds like a bad battery to me, chances are remote that it's the phone/hardware/software. they have to repair it despite the fact it's rooted, they probably wont even notice lol
Were it me, back to verizon we go
Last Sunday, listening to music with HTC One (bought on Sep 11) on the charger, it suddenly went dark. Would not reboot, no charge light either. Went to a VZW store, they're shipping me a warranty replacement.
I wonder whether my habit of leaving it charger-connected whenever it's sitting on my desk (i.e., way beyond the fully-charged point) somehow stressed the battery (or the charging circuitry) -- though that habit never impacted my two previous HTC models.
When you hold Vol+Down and Power do your home and back arrows blink? If so, point the phone sensors (the two on the front on the left hand side) into a bright light. Then hold down Vol+Down and Power. It should boot. I'm not sure why. But it worked for me today after installing a custom recovery. -shrugs-

I've got a replacement being shipped to me, and I'll send them the old one when it comes in. Currently using an old Samsung Stratosphere as a replacement, I was just hoping there'd be an easier fix or something simple. Thanks, though!

[Q] Heat caused screen malfunction?

Well... i have a verizon galaxy nexus. running the latest crom with philz recovery.
i have a zerolemon extended battery as well.
while i was working today (i work outside) i was listening to pandora, this is a usual everyday thing, my phone decided to get super hot.
It was HOT. i figured it was a mix of the temperatures here in georgia and my cpu usage. So i powered it off and took out the battery for a few minutes, put the battery back in and put the phone in the DRY section of my cold lunchbox to cool off.
well 2 hours go by, i get off work and try to power the phone on and it only vibrated.odd, as it never happened before, i took the battery out and put it back in. try to power on again. it just vibrated. i thought it was dead.... until a minute later my notification led started flashing. so i called my self from the home phone and it rang!
so now i know the phone is on and functioning buttt.... the screen is completely black. no Boot screen/splash screen not even an led backlight. just black.
ive only seen this problem one time and there was no cure for it, has anyone had the same issue? help?

[Q] Random Restarting and other issues

So I have had my Gs4 for about 20 months now.. I've noticed that the battery has swelled, and my phone turns off and restarts randomly at times. While I have my data on, it will stop working and it wont turn back on unless I have it plugged into a charger. Anyone else experienced these issues?
You need a new battery, Amazon.com has them in stock.
It will be good as new after installing the new battery.
I had same thing happen while on my GS2.

after recall battery issue

i got my phone last week, this is after the recall. i have the box with square on the side and all signs of green battery.
i noticed that when im charging the phone sometimes it charge so slow and worst is yesterday while charging and browsing on chrome the battery is declining! WTH is going on.. i called my local VZW where i got the unit and they told me they dont have any for a replacement.. anyone experiencing the same thing?
Reboot the phone. I had this happen and its usually 1 of 2 things.. Either a rogue app has gone ape sh*t and is eating the cpu up, or the charging capability isnt working correctly.. A reboot for has hax fixed this many times across moy note 3 and 7. If reboot doesnt do it, do a full power off, and power on.

TA-1043 dead over night

Hey everyone,
has anyone experienced something similar and was able to fix it?
My TA-1043 has previously turned off overnight, or simply didn't charge occasionally. This behavior was reported by others as well, and wasn't really that much of a problem for me.
However today not only did it turn off, it also does not turn on or accept a charge anymore at all. I tried several different cables and cleaned out the charging port, but it just will not charge at all from either a power bank or a wall plug.
I ordered a replacement charging board, but if that doesn't work and no one else has had this problem i'm gonna have to get a new phone i reckon... (warranty only covers one year and the place i got it from charged extra for extended warranty)
And yes i also tried holding the power button for 30 seconds, does nothing as expected...
So, has anyone had this problem and knows what causes it?
replaced the charging board and now it works again, let's see if that was the root cause... interestingly, the battery was at 50% charge when it started working again, so i actually believe it's something to do with the mainboard
It's a Software Problem
The same thing happened to my phone recently. What I did was to to click on the power, volume up, and volume down for 40 seconds. It was one of the longest 40 seconds in my life. It turned on and the battery was at 49%. It worked fine after that. I don't know why it happened but the problem was a software one not hardware even though it didn't want to charge anywhere and was always seemingly off.
