I noticed today that since I moved to a new country, the Captcha on the bottom of the page has also changed to the native language of the country.
Problem is however I don't speak it, and I have to guess each time I want to post.
Searched around in settings but found no solution.
Obviously, Captcha should stay in the site language OR the OS language of the user. Assuming the user magically learns a new language by crossing a border is just...
I the same problem. There should be some recognition of what the site language is (for example English) and therefore the Captcha on the site should be English.

This should be forced to English now. Thanks for the heads up.
Look at the source. At the top of the source page it should probably say: <html lang="eng">
Or something like that. Soz for my typing.

I'm not really an expert in this kind of stuff, but because someone asked me to do anotherone, I thought I'd just do a simple tutorial.
I know that it's not that well explained, but I was searching for this a long time ago and didn't really find anything, this is just from experience, so don't expect too much of it.
It's really not that hard:
1. Rename the .mtz to .zip
2. Open it with whatever you open your zips with.
3. Anything you can't open, just open it with winrar or whatever.
4. Search through everything and open manifest.xml (I think... most of the time the rest is just ****)
5. In that manifest.xml, you just search for anything that looks chinese and use google translate to translate it. ( if the translation sucks, just make a normal sentance of it)
6. Save the changes and just try it out. (be sure to rename it to .xml first)
Hope it was usefull.
(I know my English isn't always that good, but please ignore it)
PS: (Some things might not be up to date anymore, because I'm not really on MIUI anymore)
best way is to find a chinese and let him/her change it for u.LOL
That's all well and good, but why can't Android do this automatically like Chrome can?
not working. the only xml file i found is rather simple, and nothing there in chinese. all in English.

Wrong! Never do this way! Always get a native English speaker to translate the Chinese. This is how language translation is done! SOURCE -> TARGET your translator must be a native speaker of the TARGET language. Using native speakers of the SOURCE language results in Chinglish, which either sounds awkward, ridiculous, or incomprehensible.
haha! chinese and asians have decent english grammar so it depends

I think everyone here has visited the chinese site (apk.tw or xda.cn) before, but do do know what does it actually said after being translated by Google Translate? Do you know that after English being translated to Chinese is quite horrible?
Here are some example:
- Bad chinese -(after Google Translate)- Bad China!!
Therefore I decided to act as a human translator to help you translate the site from Chinese to English, or from English to Chinese.
Details:
1. Please pm me the site or phrases you like to translate, with your name (Also with your e-mail or requirement such as save as .png or e-mail it to you)
2. I will translate it as soon as possible and pm it back to you. (7:00 a.m to 10:30 p.m. GMT+8)
**Please send me in ENGLISH or I won't translate it for you**
Some Basic Function of the site:
I can only receive about 30 request per day, I am only a student.
Thanks a lot.
It would be nice if you could monitor this page and inform us if there is something new regarding A510e S-OFF.

seems no one can s-off successfully by this method so far, at least from the replies in that thread.
hey i was wondering if theres anyway to automatically have a text message in arabic to come up as english in a text message. ive used google translate but its not always accurate. i would've assumed since its a totally different charactered language it might have been translated unlike spanish but i guess not. any one else got some good tips or maybe another app that can do it automatically in the background?

I've never come across a translator that was more than mediocre and Google translate is actually the best I have used but still only mediocre.

Hi,
i have a problem with the classix XDA Layout on my "real accout" this is only a test account!
Since two weeks, i cannot post in forums, because ff and chrome means, the connection is not secure. After the post i have a blank screen like this:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/newreply.php?do=postreply&t=3235935
(The screen is blank!)
Now i think it is the old xda layout which i prefer, so i want to change it in the user cp:
But the same problem....after confirm the change i have a blank screen....
So.. here with the test account i can post, send pm, no problems with the new layout. How can i change the in my "real" account??? :crying::crying::crying:
Thanks
Sorry for my bad english, but i am not a native......
I see you've solved this, since you've posted with your main account since posting this.
So I'm glad you've sorted it out. I'll be closing this thread and disabling this second account, since multiple accounts are not allowed on XDA. :good:
hi,
my google disover feed started to show spanish, russian, arabic feeds altough it's set to german / germany. I can't find anything to disable it. the shown subject of the feed is correct but not the language. I keep disable those foreign pages but everyday there are new ones.
anyone know this issue?
Glad to hear I'm not the only one! I'm on a LG G7 and have this exact same issue since a few days. Was troubleshooting going crazy but seems like april 1 came early for google this year?
Same here
