I'm not really an expert in this kind of stuff, but because someone asked me to do anotherone, I thought I'd just do a simple tutorial.
I know that it's not that well explained, but I was searching for this a long time ago and didn't really find anything, this is just from experience, so don't expect too much of it.
It's really not that hard:
1. Rename the .mtz to .zip
2. Open it with whatever you open your zips with.
3. Anything you can't open, just open it with winrar or whatever.
4. Search through everything and open manifest.xml (I think... most of the time the rest is just ****)
5. In that manifest.xml, you just search for anything that looks chinese and use google translate to translate it. ( if the translation sucks, just make a normal sentance of it)
6. Save the changes and just try it out. (be sure to rename it to .xml first)
Hope it was usefull.
(I know my English isn't always that good, but please ignore it)
PS: (Some things might not be up to date anymore, because I'm not really on MIUI anymore)
best way is to find a chinese and let him/her change it for u.LOL
That's all well and good, but why can't Android do this automatically like Chrome can?
not working. the only xml file i found is rather simple, and nothing there in chinese. all in English.

Wrong! Never do this way! Always get a native English speaker to translate the Chinese. This is how language translation is done! SOURCE -> TARGET your translator must be a native speaker of the TARGET language. Using native speakers of the SOURCE language results in Chinglish, which either sounds awkward, ridiculous, or incomprehensible.
haha! chinese and asians have decent english grammar so it depends

It looks nice, but my Chinese is a bit rusty...
I don't understand anything!
If you don't know English very well you could use Google Translate...
And Flash-on-demand should be there. I don't want to see every Flash banner...
And, possibly themes (or at least color changing)? It would be nice.

what is the error?
It just says there is an error, nothing in particular and I cant make sense of the log except for it saying that strings in public.xml are not defined even though all I edited was the strings.xml... could you try for me?
Here's the string.xml file and the browser.apk:

hey i was wondering if theres anyway to automatically have a text message in arabic to come up as english in a text message. ive used google translate but its not always accurate. i would've assumed since its a totally different charactered language it might have been translated unlike spanish but i guess not. any one else got some good tips or maybe another app that can do it automatically in the background?

I've never come across a translator that was more than mediocre and Google translate is actually the best I have used but still only mediocre.

no one else have any helpful input??? :/
Find out what service Apple uses for its translation. Maybe they have an android app for it.
Is there a way to change Play Store app language? Mine translates everything (app titles and descriptions) to my native language and it looks kinda bad. I'd like to keep it english.
I just did a quick test, and it seems to take whatever language the phone is set to and applies it to Play. So change your phone (Settings > Language & input > Language) language to English and it will change.
But is there a way to change the store only? Maybe modify the .apk somehow?

I'm sure someone could decompile the APK, but it updates on the fly, so I don't know how useful it could be.
I don't believe there is another way around it though. Sorry
I have similar problem here. Play store app is partially English and the rests Turkish. Account is set to English whereas my location is Turkey. Isn't there anything to fix this?
Similar problem reported here:
http://android.stackexchange.com/questions/87626/how-to-change-the-play-store-language
I noticed today that since I moved to a new country, the Captcha on the bottom of the page has also changed to the native language of the country.
Problem is however I don't speak it, and I have to guess each time I want to post.
Searched around in settings but found no solution.
Obviously, Captcha should stay in the site language OR the OS language of the user. Assuming the user magically learns a new language by crossing a border is just...
I the same problem. There should be some recognition of what the site language is (for example English) and therefore the Captcha on the site should be English.

This should be forced to English now. Thanks for the heads up.
Look at the source. At the top of the source page it should probably say: <html lang="eng">
Or something like that. Soz for my typing.
I have posted this question on StackOverflow, Reverse Engineering Stack Exchange but no one answer
Did anyone remember the Mediatek's MRE (MAUI runtime environment)? That thing has completely gone since 2016. Does anyone have a way to do this? As I described in the links, someone said that the application needs to be signed before running on Nokia S30+. Does anyone have a sign tool or something like that? Thanks!
In this forum, if I remembered well, there are tutorials for creating VXP apps for watchface for some Mediatek-based watches, but when I try that, it does not work.
Currently I'm reversing the Nokia 225's firmware to see how it loads the vxp binary and vertify its signature, but the firmware is somehow encrypted. Does anyone have a full firmware dump from flash of a Nokia 220/225 or any S30+ devices?
Thank you so much!
Hey there, I don't have an answer to your question but would you be willing to answer a small question pertaining to what you asked?
I have a Nokia 225 4G, and I'm wondering how to uninstall system apps like Facebook and Opera Mini that come pre-installed with the phone. Is there some sort of developer option that can be enabled like on other android phones? You seem to be an expert with this kind of thing so I thought I'd ask.

Hello! I did find the answer to my question (you can see the answer in RE.SE).
About your question, I think it's possible to do this. I have seen some API in MRE SDK to do this kind of thing. Also, I'm not an expert in this kind of thing )
You might want to reach [Ximik_Boda](https://4pda.to/forum/index.php?showuser=6288932) using QMS feature in 4pda forum. He is an expert in MRE development. In fact, my answer in RE.SE is based on his research. Sign up an account (there are tutorial on the Internet for signing up an account on 4pda forum for people who don't understand Russian, like me), and then ask him in Russian (he won't chat to you in English). You might want to use Google Translate. Even if you are not native English speaker, try writing the message in English and then translate it to Russian, it will be much more accurate than translate from your native language to Russian (I tried that).
I will ask him your question to see if it's possible to do that. Thanks!

Wow man thank you so much! That's so awesome that you reached out to him with my question. I'll do the same if I can make an account...I'll need to find someone who can read Russian to help with the captcha.
Again, thank you for your help.

You don't need anyone to read the captcha. You can bypass it: https://www.celsoazevedo.com/files/android/how-to-bypass-4pda-captchas/

Sorry, my stupid! Nokia 225 4G is not the same as Nokia 225. I have searched on the internet and found that it run S30 OS.
From this Reddit post (
https://www.reddit.com/r/dumbphones/comments/mup1gg
) it's said that it's not possible to uninstall apps from Nokia 225 4G.
Why do you want to uninstall it? I don't think it will free much storage.
Is there a way to side load apps into these things? And the OS doesn’t seem to be Series 30+ anymore…

Yes, and it seems that the OS is a variation of KaiOS. Maybe you can ask people on some KaiOS forum?
And if I rembered correctly there are some example app repos for KaiOS on Github.
Good luck!
EDIT: if you are out of luck and really want to do this, I would suggest finding some flash tool to read the ROM and reverse engineer it. Or you can find some debug port (JTAG) or debug mode (like AT commands?) to dump the flash.
Or just desolder the flash IC and read it back (but it will be hard)
Actually, the OS on the feature phones without WiFi ex, Nokia 225 run something called Smart Feature OS which is proprietry. The app store is from gameloft afaik.
In that case you might want to find firmware updates of the phone and analyze it, or dump the flash from the phone and RE it

I'm researching the Nokia 225 4G TA-1282, and Nokia's site states that it does indeed run S30+.
