Hello for everyone, Today we going to get Whatsapp in our Beast Tablet Google Nexus 7 (tested WIFI VERSION AND 3G, ALSO WORK WITH ANY TABLET HAVING ANDROID!)
I was very busy developing and cooking roms for allwinner a13 tablets
THIS HOWTO IS FOR PEOPLE WHO WANNA INSTALL WHATSAPP IN THE TABLET
DO YOU NEED: 1 ANDROID SMARTPHONE AND WHATSAPP INSTALLED AND UPDATED!
REMEMBER: YOU CAN ONLY HAVE ONE INSTALLATION OF WHATSAPP BY PHONE NUMBER, IF YOU WANNA USE WHATSAPP ONLY IN YOUR TABLET, PLEASE UNINSTALL WHATSAPP ON DEVICES
USING YOUR PHONE NUMBER.
This a new method to start to get working whatsapp in our tablet.
1. Install "Carbon backup" APK from play store on your android smartphone and on your tablet.
2. Take a back up of whatsapp from your smartphone and select the option to save it on your external SD card.
3. Now move to your tablet. Take a backup of any app. In my case, I took the back up of Temple Run2 and select to save the back up in your external SD card.
(This is mainly done to create the Carbon backup folder structure.)
4. The back up would be available under /ext_sd_card/carbon/
5. Now back to your smartphone
Copy the complete carbon folder under /ext_sd_card/carbon/ and upload it some where. (You can use some file manager like EXexplorer to do this for you)
6. Moving to your tablet, download the carbon folder you uploaded in your tablet and replace with the one that is already existing on your external SD card.
7. Open Carbon application and restore WhatsApp
8. It will ask you to install whatsapp from play store.
Install WhatsApp to the tablet!
9. Select restore option again and restore WhatsApp data
10. Open WhatsApp with the same state as you left it on your smart phone. (IF YOU HAVE MESSAGES THERE, THEY WILL BE IN TABLET TOO)
If you want to use a different number on your tablet, then follow the below steps after Step 11.
Send one or two messages to your friends.
11. Uninstall whatsapp and install it again.
12. Restore the back up again from carbon app.
13. Open Whatsapp, you will be asked to verify your number.
14. Enter your new number and select Ok. Please make sure that the new number is in working state i.e. the SIM card is inserted into a phone and can receive SMS/call
15. Whatsapp will send the verification code to your new number.
16. Wait for sometime and you will get the prompt on your tablet to enter the verification code.
17. Enter it and enjoy
Easy method to import contacts:
1. Import the contacts from Outlook to a CSV file.
2. Login to Gmail and imported the CSV file.
3. Login to Gmail in your tablet and contacts will be synchronised!
DO NOT FORGET SAY THANK YOU AND SHARE THESE THREAD

Hai, Im from Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 P3110 Wifi user. I search for how to install WhatsApp in WiFi only tablet and guess what??? I TOTALLY works. A zillion thanksto you :good:
BTW, for those who got 6 digit authorization code that means you have installed the wrong version on the BlueStacks. The WhatsApp version on BlueStacks and on your tablet must be SAME.
Hope thread starter will update his OP since Im also thought just download it from somewhere else to be use in BlueStacks but no, you must installed the same version.
Before this I use the latest version which is 6 code, appguraded but you cant enter your code there. But this method totally works. Now I have Viber and WhatsApp, hey who need a simcard? Thank you so much AnonFBI
OP please give us normal links, not those stupid AdFly ones.
You welcome, you are total right you must have the same version of whatsapp in bluestacks and your tablet, do not matter what model of tablet do you have this works.

I updated the step 4 in thread,
Verify your are connected over iINTERNET with BlueStacks and wait SMS code to your phone
You must setup whatsapp first in bluestacks and wait SMS 3-digit code in your phone numbers
if that do not work use call verification and save the 3-digit listened in the call! (please be patient sometime take more time to get sms or call verification)

One last question which I forgot to ask... Now that WhatsApp works, should I keep AppGuard installed on the tablet and Blue Stacks on the laptop or I can uninstall them? I have unchecked the auto-update function, so I guess it will work without any risks?
I installed whats up using titanium back up from my phoen and installed the restore. Only thing bad about this is that sometimes you will get messages to either tablet or phone but not both at the same time
Hi there, I came to this forum searching for an answer to how to root a Huawei G510 (U8951), remove Chinese stuff and install Google apps (Play, Maps, Gmail, etc.) on the said device and turns out I could not find an answer. At least partialy, as there was a link to htcmania, a spanish forum.
As most of you (and me) can't speak spanish, here is a quick guide to do all those things to your phone.
I don't know if I'm required to, but here goes a warning: doing ANYTHING from this guide can brick your smartphone, make it otherwise useless or void your warranty. I'm not saying that's a remote possibility, or if anything goes bad I can help you easily, I'm saying that's very, very likely, so if you'll follow this guide rest assured of these facts.
First of all, you must assure you have the right phone, as the G510 has multiple versions (0010, 0100, 0200) sold in different places around the world. This guide was intended to be used on a G510-0010, U8951 (Unicom version) of this particular smartphone. As far as I'm concerned, it does work on 0200 (Orange Daytona as sold in Spain), but I can't assure.
Secondly, you'll need a micro SD card, so if you don't have one you can't go any further. Buy one and come back.
Part 1: Root
That's the risky thing to do, so if you're faint of heart stop here.
Step 1
Download the boot.img from B165 rom.
https://mega.co.nz/#!G8QCRYDA!Wy1773Iw27m5OHpCVPfL5TpmH-o9olgV19TlCAvNsas
Step 2
Download UnlockRoot
http://www.unlockroot.com/download.html
Step 3 (optional, and G510-0010 only. If you won't update your phone's firmware, jump to step 5)
Download the latest version of your phone's firmware (B182, mine came with B168 version)
http://download-c.huawei.com/tcpsdo...category=cn&flay=software&downloadID=NDIzNjA=
Step 4 (optional)
Extract the contents of the firmware file, then locate the dload folder. Copy it to the root of the microsd card. Now you can apply the firmware update in 3 different ways: a) turn your phone on while holding both volume keys, it'll put your phone on update mode and install the update.app you downloaded, b) open the update app from the tools folder on one of your phone's homescreens, c) go to settings -> about phone -> system update. The update software will tell you the process will take about 2 minutes, but that's a big whooper. Here it took almost 15, and almost freaked me out meanwhile.
Step 5
Now do the same with the boot.img you downloaded (extract, copy the dload folder to microsd card root and use one of the three means to flash the firmware file). That time it'll be very quick.
Step 6
I'm assuming you have the drivers for your device. As far as I can remember (the cellphone now belongs to my GF) they're in your phone's virtual disk you get when you plug your phone to your computer. If not, Google Handset_WinDriver.exe and install it. Turn your phone on, go to settings -> Developer options and turn USB Debugging on. Now hook your phone to your computer and run UnlockRoot, hit Root, wait until your device shows up and click on it. Wait until it asks you to install some crapware and answer no (you can also answer yes, that's your choice, I'm not telling you what to do or anything...). Now your phone is rooted, with SuperSu and other software installed, and ready to the next steps.
Part 2: Google Apps AND multiple languages
To go beyond this point you need to have your phone rooted. If not, go back to part 1 and root your phone.
Step 1
All you'll need to download now are apk files you can find here on xda, so I'm not giving specific links. You'll need:
ES File Explorer (or any other rooteable file manager)
GoogleServicesFramework
GoogleLoginService
Play Store (phonesky.apk)
Step 2
Install ES File Explorer, then go to Root Explorer and remount /system as RW. Copy the other apks to /system/app. Now long press each of the files you copied (it can only be done one by one with ES), then hit properties -> change and check all the boxes in column Read, on the column Write check only User then uncheck all other checkboxes. The permissions will now show rw-r--r--. Restart your phone. When it starts it'll probably show you the "optimizing apps" screen and Play store will show up in one of your home screens (as this phone has no drawer for apps). Once you logged in with your (or created a) Google Account it will be able to install any app from Google play store and you can also enjoy the "amazing" Huawei store. Not finished, you can get really amazed with the WoStore (from Unicon's Wo 3G carrier).
Step 3 (kind of optional to most of you here)
If you bought this device on China or Hong Kong (as me) you'll notice it only supports natively Chinese and English. I'm not a native English speaker (as you can tell for my bad English skills and terrible spelling), so I just went to Google Play and installed More Locale 2, opened it and choose Brazilian Portuguese (my native language, in which I also don't excel).
Step 4 (optional... at least if you speak Chinese)
Once your phone is rooted, you can uninstall most of the apps that came with it, as most of them are system apps. Except for some things you can remove everything with a Chinese name on it. Some apps can be worth keeping, like QQ (an IM widely used on China), but you can also download it from play store.
Bonus Part: Common issues
(I'll update every time I find a new one)
After some days of use this cellphone showed two, easy to solve, problems. Here's the solution.
Issue 1: Google Stuff disappeared after some days. Also a crash warning pops out when the phone turns on and the play store just blinks when I try to open it.
Issue 2: On the Play store, when I try to download stuff, I get an "RPC:S-5:AEC-0" error.
As far as I can tell that's not a device specific issue. But luckily, in my case, both had the same solution: You just need to go to the settings, find the Google accounts, then remove them, add again and enjoy.
I have G520 - Anyone tell me which of these steps to follow (files to use) just to root?
I'm sorry, never tried to root a G520.

I notice you install the software/rom before rooting
Does that rom need rooting first or doesn't it matter?
Doesn't matter. But if you update after root it'll unroot your phone.

You shouldn't try a different model's rom. If you're stuck at boot you should try the stock rom http://download-c.huawei.com/tcpsdo...category=cn&flay=software&downloadID=NDIzMzk=
It seems to require you to get an account before downloading.
I tried rooting as per (installed B165 rom) and its now stuck on the splash screen
Is it dead now?
Flash the stock Rom and see what happens

And by the way, I'm just assuming that's your phone's stock rom. Make sure it is before flashing or you can damage your phone irreversibly.

I found a stock rom that worked and its back now - still now Google on it - do you know where I would find and international/European rom for G520?
I've just installed G520 USB driver and ran G520 Root program
The phone now has "superuser" app
Does that mean it's now rooted? |If I connect my G520 as USB drive should it look any different (folders/files)?
Does that mean I can now use a different Rom (which maybe includes Google Apps)?

Big thank you for taking the time to translate this information. It helped me tremendously and I now have a Rooted G510. for future reference to other readers of this post on my G510 under settings>system>About phone>system updates. this allowed me to flash the firmware with out doing the Hold Power and both volume keys. It made setting up the phone so much more easyier.
Just for reference my phone is the Huawei ascend G510-0010 this was a phone direct from china. Google play is now installed and the phone is working perfectly.

You can try, but keep a backup of your personal data and files and the original firmware, so if anything goes awry you can roll back. Also, keep in mind I never tried this on this specific model, so if you try it's risky and I will not be able to help you.

Fastboot flash boot.img and system.img then boot into TWRP and root. The missing system app should be back. Or just download the dialer APK from the website: APKMirror.

The stock OnePlus Phone app has an inbuilt Call-Recording option. I've been using it since Nougat.
It's got everything you'd need, including auto-record for all/selected numbers. Have you tried that?
I'm also on stock OOS 9, unrooted.

if you give permissions correctly for joneplus it starts call recording at boot auto.
now delete the "joneplus tools" and install it again. when you open app first time it will say use "adb commands to GIVE WRITE PERMISSION" this is the trick. do it correctly and after that in settings mark "restore call recorder at boot"
you will have call recording without root.
move to hydrogen OS and you can use the call recorder without root

Get the stock ROM for your tablet's 3G variant
Extract the system.img
Get the dialer app's APK and install it on your tablet
Attempt to dial the code
Hope this helps!
Thanks TriDiscord for your advice.
I don't know how to find that kind of stock 3G ROM.

As I said, you can install the P5520 stock ROM for 3G capabilities on your tablet. Note that you won't actually get 3G, but you will have access to the Phone app.
I understand, but if Idon't know where I can find that ROM I give up.

Use the Frija tool to download it
I'm learning about Frija tool. I hope I'll be abble to use it on my Mac.
Thanks for the idea.
Frija tool, as Odin, Samsung drivers, etc. are windows only. Just to manage one appli that is already here, but don't launch, I'm not going further. I know there are solutions to deal with win stuff on my Mac.
Even if I get the 3G ROM, without installing it, just to extract the Phone application, I'm afraid that it will not be good.
I tried alternative dialers, including the Google one, they launch but don't work with secret codes. An other application could deal with that codes on a wifi tablet. These codes are useful to test the tablet.
