Cannot use SIM and plane mode problem - Sony Xperia T2 Ultra

Hi,
I have a T2 Ultra and a few days ago somehow the phone has begun not seeing SIM card. In addition, the phone pinned plane mode and I can't deactivate plane mode whatever I did.
So what's the problem? My phone software already got the last update Android 4.3 and 19.0.1.A.0.207...
What do you think?

Thanks, but it doesn't work and the problem still occurs. The phone cannot find SIM card whatever I did. You think it is a technical problem or maybe a software update need?

I encountered that in my samsung tab4. So what I did?
turn off the phone - remove the sim card - turn on then I enable AirplaneMode - off again / reinsert sim card - boot to your system
hope this will help.

@elvis32 have u tried what @titanium_gld has suggested? I'm having same issue with T2 ultra

sory for my bad english
Put a bit of paper between the battery and see how it gos for a few hour, if that fails then wipe your SD card and see how it is, failing that you might need a Service Centre as flashing new FW hasn't worked so might be a HW issue.
i have already do that..
wipe sd n put paper..
i try use without sd, sim card but is restart also..

Shouldn't happen, rooting the phone should not cause this problem. I havr rooted my phone many times but it's still working fine. Which method of root did you use and for which firmware?
僕のLT18iから送られてきた
1. Reboot into recovery, wipe cache, wipe data. Shut down the phone
2. Change baseband with flashtool
3. Power on the phone
Report if it worked please
It isn't something related to rooting I think, maybe u can try out the following-
1.Check after removing sim for 15 mins and inserting it agn Properly inside.
2.If u have a stock rom backup, restore it and try.Check whether your phone is showing your IMEI number or not.Sometimes modem/radio files get wiped out.
3.Could be a hardware issue.Maybe your SIM tray is damaged - either one or more of the contact 'ribbons' is damaged.Check whether or not u can save numbers to your sim card.
4.Take it to your carrier's repair centre.

G3 Not recognising SIM card after update

Hi all,
I received a push notification for a software update last night, which I dilligently downloaded and installed. When it came to the 'optimising apps' stage it froze about halfway for about an hour, so I decided to remove the battery. After turning it back on it just continued optimising apps and completed the update successfully. However, it now doesn't recognise that a SIM card is inserted, and I have no idea what to do to rectify this. I've not rooted my phone or installed any custom ROMs, and have no idea how to do so.
When I attempt to look at the phone's hardware/software info, I get the error "Unfortunately, the process com.android.phone has stopped" and am unable to view much of the phone information. I can however see that it's on Android 5.0, Kernel 3.4.0, and software version V20i-EUR-XX.
Any support would be greatly appreciated
I seriously need some help with this! Anyone?
Have you tried pulling the battery and the SIM card, too? Hold the power button for a few seconds while they are both out and leave them out for a few minutes, then reinsert both and boot it.
If that doesn't work and you are running pure stock, then the carrier will support you. You could always take it to them and explain what happened.

Thanks for the reply, I didn't actually purchase my phone through my carrier though. I called LG and they said I'd have to send it off to them and it'd take up to two weeks.
Do you think flashing a custom ROM would fix this?
Not sure which variant you have or how that may work where you are.... If the device is carrier branded and running their software, they will likely support it.
Have a look at this thread and the suggestions posted there, it may help:
[Q] Sold a dodgy LgG3? Help!
Typically, when it comes to issues relating to connecting to the carrier, the stock ROM is better suited than a custom ROM. You'd want to get this working before moving to custom software.

I reckon if you tried updating stock firmware and it went wrong then send it back to LG as there might be a hardware fault. If you flash a Custom ROM and the problem persists then you're screwed with your warranty.

Did these issues begin when the device was first activated?
Or after an app was installed?
Or after an update?
Is the phone stock or is it rooted, etc.?
All of the above are important to know while troubleshooting.
I'm found this. Maybe it will help.

If your problem began immediately after purchasing the phone new, and it is still under warranty, perhaps you can return it for an exchange.
Because if it is brand new and the problem started right away before you installed any applications, there would appear to be an issue with the phone right out of the box.
You can do a factory reset and see if the problem goes away. Save anything in the phone you need to, because a factory reset will delete everything Just like it came from the factory. Your extSDCard won't be deleted, but you can remove it before you do a factory reset if you want to.

Issue with Note 4 att (unlocked)

Hello folks,
after marshmallow update my note 4 is acting wired (freeze, restart, sometimes doesn't start etc...). Wakelock app is keeping the phone running but still phone is not performing at it's best. It is slow and sluggish etc...
For some reason if I restart the phone (for ota update etc...) it never turns on. It takes multiple attempt of soft resent and taking battery out and in to turn it on. How to fix this?
I did not make any changes to phone in any ways. I am using what ATT has provided me and recently got it unlocked from ATT. Phone is currently running 6.0.1 with February 1, 2017 security patch level.
Any help is appreciated. If there is any existing thread regarding this issue please redirect me there. I may need step by step guide if the solution includes of changing rom, kernel etc... If I have to change rom then I better be changing it to the finest available in the market.
Thanks again
You likely have an app that is causing problems. Look at settings, battery. Is anything hogging your battery use?
Either selectively uninstall apps, or do a factory reset and slowly add apps until your phone states flipping out.
I and others have had this problem, unfortunately you have to figure out what's causing your problem...
Hit thanks If this has helped you...

I have downloaded 2 files.
1) S2EPK4 to S2EPK5 --This I will transfer to phone sd card, correct?
2) ODIN FILES to get back to EPH5 and latest ODIN
ODIN -- This will be for PC when I connect the phone, correct?
Let me know if I need any more files to download.
All these information is not making much sense to me at this stage but I guess as I work on this I will have grasp of the process.

I was traveling last week. BTW here is the update. I switched off the phone to get it in to recovery mode... it's dead since then... It doesn't turn on.. I tried various usb cables, wall adapters, soft reset, new batteries etc... nothing is working to turn the phone on. Does this mean the phone is gone?
Any update on the device? What was happening before this happened? Turning off the device to put it into recovery shouldn't have created a catastrophic event that would have killed the phone...
Are you in the states? Are you close to a Best Buy? Many Best Buy stores have a "Samsung Experience Center" that can help you with your phone... They can apply latest updates, and do some minor technical troubleshooting...
What happens if you put a different battery in, and plug in a charger? Are you using a Samsung charger? Leave it for a few minutes, is there any indication that it is charging?
Did you, per chance, use one of those portable rechargers? Those can wreak havoc on your battery, as well as the phone's built in charging circuits...
What is the status of the device?

Hello,
Before it turned off I have downloaded the zip file for update on sd card and then tried to put it in recovery mode to perform the steps but it never turned on. I travel alot so don't get much time to spend to do all these technical things so temporarily switched my old BB Q10. I did try different batteries, chargers, plugging it in various laptops. It's dead dude. I kind of hate ATT and Samsung now. They push an update on us which ruins the phone and then they ask if I have insurance! I mean like dude are you out of your head?
Yes I am states. I did not know that Best Buy do some troubleshooting, I will take phone to them as soon as I can and will update if they were able to solve the issue. Thanks for that suggestion.
If you didn't get into recovery mode, you didn't even start the update. Sounds like the phone died before anything happened. Just trying to put it into recovery doesn't start the update at all...
Sorry about the phone. Hope it's something simple...
For instance, I had a sticky button that made the down volume stop working. A Qtip and rubbing alcohol solved that...
Hope your phone resurrects some how.

It may be too late, but put the phone in the freezer with the battery out for 5 minutes. pull it out and put the battery in and try to turn it on. Works for me, but now everytime I need to restart my phone, it has to go into a freezer.

Just got active here again. I did try the freezer thing but didn't work for me. I have found a process where one uses USB JIG to put phones in download mode (if the battery is fully charged or charged enough) if the phone buttons are non responsive. I haveordered it from ebay. Let's hope it works. Once in download mode, I will try to flash it. Looking for the best procedure to flash it. not a technical guy.
