Hi
I am looking at buying a replacement of eBay but I was told a while back by a repair shop that there are 4 types of screen for the t805 model, they did fix it first time I broke the screen and said they would never repair one again, I wondered if obtaining the right screen was the hardest part? So it broke again, bummer,
I've just removed the current from this tablet and can see I have rev 4 assuming revision 4
Can anyone hazard a guess if the following will suffice, I tried to get link of eBay app but doesn't give any
Ebay item number 361311813790
If anyone has had a tab s 10.5 screen replaced please let me know
Thanks in advance

Unfortunately I dropped my international HoX last night and cracked the glass and damaged the display. I read somewhere that the international and north american versions use incompatible displays/digitizers, but I'm curious if that's truly the case.
There's somewhere in my city that does display/digitizer replacements while you wait for $180. I'd rather not have to send the phone to HTC and wait a couple weeks if I can help it.
Does anyone know the answer?
Thanks.
I just got mine repaired at Mission Repair . I have the international version, but their site listed simply the One X - and didn't distinguish between AT&T and the Tegra 3 version. My phone should be back tonight, so I haven't had a chance to try it out for myself, but the notes on the repair order said there were no problems and the phone worked great.

I've had it back for a little over a week and I'm not very satisfied. The screen is definitely not the original part and colors are washed out and its hard to read text in some apps. Also, they did a poor job at putting the screen into the unit and the sides are leaking light and sometimes it looks like the whole screen will fall out of the rest of the phone. I'm going to be contacting them shortly to see what they can do for me. At this point, I would not recommend their services.
I recently purchased a digitizer off ebay to replace the cracked one in my boostmobile sg2,,,now iam getting no service what so ever...i was told it was compatiable it being a sprint digitizer....is there any programming i need to do from my end....After contacting boost, they couldnt find anything wrong..i can only think maybe its has something to do wit the internal antenna...which if iam not mistaken is located on the bottom back panel near the charger port...i tried another back,,,but i get the same results....
Sounds like you need to tear it down again and make sure all connections are correct and secure. I'm betting you missed something. If screen lights up and responds to touch it no way has anything to do with the replacement part.

The ESN # is part of the system board, it has nothing to do with the screen/digitizer.

Ok,,i asked because after installing the new digitizer,,i connected the phone with the Dec No. that was on the replacement digitizer and i did get service....but when i disconnected and reconnected with my original Dec No...thats when i get no service all together,,,I guess we are talking about the same numbers...the ones printed on the digitizer itself..mine says Dec or Meid No. not ESN.....the reason i didnt keep it on the same Dec No. that came on the replacement was that signal was very low..going in and out ...then it dawned on me that i didnt use my original Dec No. so i switched it over...then i got no signal whats so ever...i just figured that i was suppose to use my orginal Dec No.. since it was my original board that came out the phone...so its just kind of strange that i would get service from the replacement digitizer Dec. No. and not my own...anyway will experiment when the 2nd replacement arrives..thanks

ESN = dec/Meid, and has nothing to do with the display. All that info is on the system board.

And I am trying to tell you that there is not an ESN on a digitizer.
A digitizer is nothing more than a thin transparent sensor the size of the lcd, located on top of the lcd, to show where on the LCD you are touching. It has no intelligence or storage capabilities what so ever.
There is not an ESN printed on a digitizer.
If you have an ESN number somewhere then you are not talking about a digitizer.
As far as getting service. My guess wold be that you might have broken or bent one of the spring touch connectors in the case that connect the antennas. Without having it in my hands I have no way to know for sure.
so my first S3 LCD screen cracked and i went out and bought a used S3 off CL (i even called sprint and they said it had a clean ESN) i get home to activate it and then won't because the guy called and reported it lost.well what i am wondering is can i just remove the motherboard from my old s3 with the cracked screen and swap it with the bad ESN phone? would i have to also swap out the radio as well or just the motherboard?

Yup it should work fine. I have done it before with a few phones including a s3. Just Google "taking apart a s3" and you'll find video guides on it.
It may seem difficult but it really is a easy thing to do.

My 21 month old VS985 crapped out 4 days ago. I believe it's an issue with the digitizer. The screen just stopped turning on altogether. When I tried it out again the next day, I discovered that sometimes when I let it sit for a while and cool down, I'll be able to turn the screen on for 10 - 60 seconds. After that, the screen freezes and slowly glitches/fades out. But it's only able to turn on sometimes. Sometimes the screen just won't do anything at all. That's the only thing wrong with it though, I've been able to use it with TeamViewer or by casting my screen to my TV.
(Any advice for replacing the digitizer will be very appreciated, even though that's not the point of this thread. Has anybody here done it? Is it necessary to remove the screen, or can I replace the entire screen/digitizer assembly? I tried to replace the broken screen of my Galaxy S3 a few years back and it was a complete disaster, because after I spent several minutes trying to heat up the glue with a hair-dryer and pry the screen off, I ended up just making the entire screen shatter much more into a billion little shards. All of which obviously destroyed the digitizer as well. Sigh.)
...
Anyway, none of that is the point of this thread. To replace the phone, I bought another LG G3 on ebay. It was listed a brand new, factory unlocked black 32GB VS985 for $175. The seller has 99.9% positive feedback (3 negative points out of 2,827) and the phone did indeed come sealed in the factory OEM box, with all of the accessories and everything. It's definitely brand new.
However, before I give the seller feedback, I want to make sure the phone is actually factory unlocked. Because if it's not, I will likely contact the seller and request a partial refund for a portion of my money on account of the item not being exactly as described.
The description of the listing says, "Brand New LG G3 Verizon 4G LTE Smartphone Factory Unlocked" and further down it also says, "ESN's Are Clear and Can Be Activated on Your Verizon Line, They Are Also GSM Unlocked to Use With AT&T, Cricket, Straight Talk, Metro Pcs, and More."
Now correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't "factory unlocked" mean the device will work on all the major US carriers? Or does it mean it will only work on the carriers who share the same bands that are built into the LG G3? I don't know much about the technical side of this subject at all, so a little advice/correction would be really nice from you guys. It'll be a bit disappointing if the phone doesn't work with Sprint or T-Mobile, etc, but I'll live. I just want to make sure the seller described the item accurately before I leave him (otherwise well-deserved) positive feedback.
Thanks for reading!
hello,
I purchased a tmobile note 7 2nd hand and I ve been using it on att with no issues. However, I'm trying to exchange it for a new one when it comes out. But I am having issues with returning it. T mobile will not help because they said I don't have a plan with them, I have called Samsung about ten times all telling me they will escalate my care and I get no where. Also called consumer safety and they were no help. Any one else having these problems?? Please help

I bought a TMobile one but returned it due to the bootloader being locked. Then I bought the Exynos international version and love it.. I have intruded and ran exposed put some mods on there and this phone is working beautifully but now the recall is technically in effect. I bought mine through a seller on eBay which one is no longer selling stuff anymore into when I called eBay they said it's not the sellers fault because the recall happened after I've already received my note so eBay sided with the seller. So I've called Samsung 6 x and everytime I get a different response from a different person one of them told me take it back to T-Mobile after I explained it's not a TMobile phone I'm just using a T-Mobile SIMs card they said it doesn't matter TMobile will switch it out for me which was a lie another person told me I needed to wait on hold to talk to a different apartment after 48 minutes I was hung up on another time I called they told me that basically I have to go through eBay and Samsung is not responsible which I do not understand because it's Samsung recalling the phones so Samsung should be replacing the phones
