I want to buy a Moto 360 and I have two phones: a Nexus 6 and Moto G 2014 and I would like to know if I can pair both to the Moto 360, because sometimes I am on the street with the Nexus and sometimes with MotoG but not the two at same time, is this possible?
I don't think so, apps , watchfaces. and profile data are stored on the phone. Much like dealing with iOS and an itunes partnership you would get a large desync across 2 devices.
Nope. All Android Wear devices are locked to a single phone. The only way to switch is to facgtory reset the watch.

Sorry if in the wrong place. Please, mods, feel free to move it but I didn't feel like this belong in the Q&A section since it wasn't a technical issue.
But after learning about the Moto 360, I'm really considering getting rid of my Moto X for other phones that have more feature that I want. The Moto 360 seem to bring the always listening feature to any phone. As long as the new phone has a great battery life active display isn't really going to be the reason I stick with my Moto X.
Anyone else now thinking about a new phone? Or do you have distinc reason for pairing the 2 device together?
Good battery,
snappy performance,
pleasing and unique styling,
speedy os and software updates on verizon,
no ugly skin,
They are all good reasons to go for moto x over other phones ignoring the features that would be covered by a moto 360. I'm not interested in a 360 anyway, but if I were I doubt that would have any impact on my phone choice at the moment. I'm just not particularly excited about other options at the moment and I don't really find the moto x to lack performance. If you're really missing something like camera that is better elsewhere than I'd say it would probably be a pretty cool option to get cool moto software/hardware solutions with the 360 and eat your phone cake too.
Wants/needs. I personally want to wear as little on my body as possible in terms of electronics, so having a Moto X do all the things the watch can do on top on everything the phone itself can do is worth not having to buy the watch. I was even considering a wallet-case because of this. However if I found that I didn't care much for the special Moto X features, then that eliminates a lot of what makes the Moto X special and a reason against getting the watch. I can justify getting the watch if I had a fashion-statement to make that included watches, but otherwise I can't see myself picking up the watch whatsoever, even if the Moto X wasn't a factor.
I'd wait till moto x v2 comes out to make this decision depending on if they add in cool new features to the phone will determine if I buy from Motorola if not I'll wait till November and buy the next nexus phone

I just posted this on reddit, figured I'd post it here too:
I used to use my G watch with my old Moto X. The 360 was about to be released, so I sold the G watch. Consequently, the 2014 X was about to be released, so I sold my old X as well.
Eventually the new 360 released, I paired it with my spare LG L90 ($20ish bucks from T-mobile!), and voice transcription was wayyyy slower than the G watch. I thought it was the IMAP processor lagging behind the snapdragon 400. Voice transcription bordered on useless for me. It was slow and error-prone.
So fast forward to now, I've got a 2014 X in front of me, I repaired it with my 360, and transcription speeds are back to normal. Before with the L90, it couldn't understand phrases like "two tow trucks just towed away some cars" or "10,000 dollars was a lot of cash 100 years ago." Now it handles them quickly and correctly on the first try.
Just a PSA in case you were wondering why your transcription was slow, it really depends on the caliber of your host device. I had no idea android wear would lean so heavily on the phone.
Hmm, that's odd. I have a Moto X 2013 and had the G Watch for about a week, and voice transcription was generally slow. I figured it was just an android wear thing. I've had my Moto 360 for 2 days and was pleasantly surprised that voice transcription has been near instant (using the same Moto X)
Maybe there are other factors that come into play as well?

do both phones have BT 4.0?
I'm using an old galaxy s2 with cm11 on it, voice transcription speed is occasionally decent, often rubbish lol
It sure seems like the watch just sends raw audio to the phone and then sits and waits for the phone to transmit text back.
Paired with a OnePlus One, the transcription was so so. The phone is blazing fast... Moto 360..not so much.

I used ONE phone with both watches. It was the same Moto X, which does have BT 4.0
Hmm interesting. It would make sense that it's sending the audio to the phone since the next step will probably occur on the phone (pulling info, executing command). To test it out, I "rapped" eminem lyrics fairly quickly and it was able to get about 90% of the words which to me is very impressive. I use a Nexus 5.
I seem to be having an issue connecting to multiple bluetooth devices at the same time. When I had my note 7 I could connect to my gear s2 watch and then when I got in my truck it would connect to my radio. With the pixel xl , it connects to my watch automatically but when I get in my truck I have to go into the bluetooth settings on the phone and manually tell it to connect to the radio. Help, it's bugging the crap out of me and I really want to like this phone but it keeps coming up with reason for me not to.
Haven't had a non-nexus device for years but at least Nexus 5 and Nexus 6P have the same behavior you mention and I can confirm with my Pixel and my Huawei Watch.
As I'm not using the functionality to talk directly over my watch I deactivated the "play smartphone audio over smartwatcg" setting on the watch.
Tried to switch Bluetooth connections with the app Trigger but that haven't worked that well.

Same issue here. Also using the Huawei watch and also had to disable calls over the phone because of the exact same issue.
Hopefully Google will address this limitation in the future.
My experience has been about the same. With my s7 edge and note 7 it would pair with my truck and my gear S2. My nexus 6p and pixel xl will only work with 1 of them at a time. I would think it would have something to do with Samsung products being able to connect differently to their smartwatches. I went to a Verizon store the other day and asked them about their smartwatches and they confirmed that the smartwatches they had in stock would only work if it is the only Bluetooth device connected to the phone. I don't know how much truth is in that but I have seen it happen with my watch and truck Bluetooth. Also, I have a 2016 Toyota Tundra and it is my second Toyota truck in 2 years and I can tell you that their Bluetooth is horrible. Even without anything connected to my phone it still has trouble pairing and that has happened on multiple phones including my wife's iPhone.
I have a similar issue with my OG Moto 360. When my Pixel XL is connected to both, my 2016 F150 and my watch, I can't use the steering wheel controls for the Bluetooth streaming. The album art also won't show up on the screen. I'm mostly waiting for the sync 3 update so Android auto is available.

Does anyone use an Android watch? Any recommendations if you do. Was interested in buying one but no idea which one

As of right now, I'd suggest the Huawei watch. Though, if I were you, I'd wait. A whole bunch of new Android wear watches are probably about to be released. Android wear 2.0 is about to come out with a whole bunch of new features, and a bunch of new watches should follow to support these new features.

I'm quite happy with my Sony Smartwatch 3:
- cheap (you can easily find it for ~100€ on Amazon
- I can easily get a full solid day off the battery
i'm using a samsung gear s3 frontier along with my OP3T. notification works well. i can answer calls but I cannot text on the watch (not that I want to). spotify controller works well, and I can read flipboard articles on the watch to pass time.
Huawei watch is pretty good, tho mic and voice commands seems to be worse than on the other watches. Maybe because mic is located underside of the watch, where the band connects. I have been using Android wear 2.0 beta for some time already, and really liking it, much smoother than old version. But Google is propably gonna announce new watches soon, Android wear 2.0 stable is coming in next month. If you find a really good deal for Huawei watch or others, then maybe buy now, but otherwise I would wait and see the new ones which are coming.
No love for the Asus Zenwatch 3 in here?

I've been using a Sony Smartwatch 3 ever since it was launched and wouldn't change it for anything else. I tried a Huawei Watch for a couple of days and it wasn't as comfortable. Furthermore, I use it as a GPS running watch and it pairs with any BT Smart HRM without any issue. Nice to go for a long run without a phone when you have GPS, MP3-player and HRM on your wrist.
I would recommend the Samsung Gear S3 ,or even the Gear S2 ,the software is superior to Android wear in my opinion .

I'm planning on getting a gear s3 frontier with my 3T. How is the compability? Any significant limitations compared to pairing it with a Samsung phone?
Anyone miss a call notification once and a while?
Ill notice Ill get a missed call on my watch and it never vibrated
Using Gear S3 Frontier and the only thing i might miss is google assistant unless sammy updates the gear s3 with their own rumoured assistant Bixby.
The rotating bezel, the battery life, and the simple OS are major wins.
and with samsung pay about to launch in India its a major win because of MST.
I bought that watch because i heard that there is app gallery in it. i bought it, opened it, and was surprised that there is only about 9 apps available on app gallery!
useless apps! i think of selling that watch to buy a wear os watch yet still underwhelmed of the their battery. It sucks!. on the other hand, Huawei watches' batteries are phenomenal. so i have some questions:-
- is there a way to root or flash the os of my Huawei watch fit 2? (i have never flashed a software before, so I am a newbie
- if not, will there be anytime sooner or later?
- if not, which wears os watch would recommend me to buy( I prioritize battery life, and third party apps availability of course)
thanks
I'm researching this too, there are very few applications, there is not even a calendar, a so-called smart bracelet Huawei definitely don't buy it, it's garbage
forum is dead no one seems to be
Does anyone know about this, this clock needs to be revived huawei watch fit 2
