I have a Verizon Lg G4 using on tmobile. the stupid sim activation icon is in the starus bar and force closing the set up wizard does nothing. Any suggestions

I want to make sure I provide as much info as possible and I appreciate any help which is offered. I'm currently in Latvia with my T-mobile Note 2. I received the sim unlock code prior to leaving the U.S. and applied it upon purchasing a Latvian sim and entering the sim card pin. The phone grants me access but immediately begins locking up and issuing an error window stating "unfortunately, Com.android.phone has stopped."
When I enter the mobile settings (which is difficult to do in between crashes) the latvian network is recognized shortly but I cannot change any settings and the network indicator in the pulldown always says searching. I've tried to change the network mode before hand from Automatic LTE/3G/2G to 3G/2G or whatever, but that doesn't help.
If I place the device into Airplane mode, it stops crashing and I can use wifi (which I'm doing now)

Short of trying a factory reset, have you tried clearing data from the telephony related APKs?
Perhaps the SIM is a dud?
Have you flashed the sprint sph-l-520 s4 mini? Then PLEASE help me!
The 2 issues are: no sim card error, and voicemail notifications stop working.
1) LTE data sim card errors
I’m not using LTE; is there a way to disable the lte sim tray entirely? Because if I don’t put a used sprint lte sim card in then I get the “no-sim card” error.
But even if I put one in, after a few minutes it gives me the “network did not respond” error and then eventually goes back to the “no-sim card” error.
I know I can hide it through a build prop edit but I don’t want to do that because of issue number two:
2) I use the voicemail notifier apk downloaded here from xda and it works great.
But it stops working whenever I get the above sim card error.

A friend recently purchased a black lg g2 /sprint on swappa. Upon trying to activate he kept getting a message saying that the sim card locked power down and try again.After doing a factory reset and trying again same message pops up . He has a sprint sim in the phone. When he went on the phone to settings - status , underneath the imsi number there is something titled Brand w/ the word Chamelon below it. He is now wondering is this a sprint lg g2 or something that virgin or boost have on their networks. Thanks in advance

I have bought Verizon LG G4 and using it with tmobile sim, I have tried everything to hide that NON Verizon sim notification from status bar, but NO success. Rooted my phone installed Xposed framework and installed that G4 Tweakbox purchased it, it does have the option but didn't work, Now I have NO idea how to get rid of that?
Im using an unlocked Verizon LG G4 VS986 and I have my new AT&T sim in and everything works but MMS. At first the internet data didn't but I found an APN that brought me data. Next to my signal arrows I only have an "H" tho.... And I cannot get MMS messages to download..... Can anyone help me?
Also on how to remove the notification saying "SIM is not Verizon"..
