Can't activate LG [email protected] - Sprint LG G2

A friend recently purchased a black lg g2 /sprint on swappa. Upon trying to activate he kept getting a message saying that the sim card locked power down and try again. After doing a factory reset and trying again same message pops up . He has a sprint sim in the phone. When he went on the phone to settings - status , underneath the imsi number there is something titled Brand w/ the word Chamelon below it. He is now wondering is this a sprint lg g2 or something that virgin or boost have on their networks. Thanks in advance

[Q] LS980 SIM Issue?

So a few days ago i was able to text perfectly fine and make calls on my G2 after flashing the modified rayglobe rom. I bought this G2 off of a friend and on friend Sprint accidently blacklisted the phone, BUT, they un-blacklisted it on monday (checked through swappa and a call via sprint) All yesterday it kept saying "restricted access changed voice service blocked" even after it being un-blacklisted, tried multiple new roms even AOSP ones. I assumed that sprint locked my SIM possible so i got a new one from T-mobile. I put that one in today and now i get a notifacation i have a voicemail but still says i have no service.
Even if I select to choose a network of says it's unable to connect please try again later, but it shows multiple networks. Even if I go into the network unlock menu it says it's permanently locked. Would a factory restore through the LG utility fix this?

[Q] using tmobile on Sprint LG G2 issue

My T-mobile Galaxy Note 3 was sent for repair, so I acquire myself a Sprint LG G2 from a friend. The Sprint LG G2 had a clean IMEI and was not rooted when my friend gave it to me. After he gave it to me, I successfully had it rooted and installed TWRP recovery on it, and install the CLoudy G3 rom that was recommended inorder for it to be able to use it on T-MOBILE. At first it didn't work. I kept getting the "no sim card" error and " sim card not compatible" issues. So I tried resetting the phone, and after resetting the Sprint LG G2 I can see it's trying really hard to pick up the T-MOBILE signal, but unfortunately it wouldn't pick up. So in the phone on the dialer I input *#*#4636#*#* then I went to PHONE INFO then I scroll down and selected WCDMA PREFERED. Right after I do that I notice the Sprint LG G2 no longer shows the "no sim card" error or the "sim card not compatible" issue. And I can make/receive calls and text messages. However every 2 hours or so the Sprint LG G2 with the Cloudy G3 rom would kill off the T-Mobile signal and I would have to reset the Sprint LG G2 phone, and have to redo putting in the weird *#*#4636#*#* steps all over again just to make the Sprint LG G2 work for Tmobile. So my question is is there a way to over come this issue of having to restart the phone, then putting this *#*#4636#*#* in the phone dialer, then scrolling down and selecting WCDMA preferred? It's becoming a real annoyance having to redo those steps over and over again every 2-3 hours or so. Be awesome if anyone in here would point me to the right direction on how to overcome this problem. Am I not flashing the correct Cloudy G3 rom for the Sprint LG G2? Am I not flashing the correct radio or Kernel for the Cloudy G3 rom?

[Q] AT&T LG G3 won't take a sim

I ordered an unlock code from imei-unlocker a couple weeks back and when I got the code, i entered it and it supposedly sim unlocked my ATT G3. I tried to put my t-mobile sim into my device and the phone acted as if it didn't have a sim in it. I factory resetted it and the same thing happens, "No Sim" error. I borrowed my uncle's AT&T sim into the G3 and it still didn't work, I even tried factory resetting it again. I don't have any options to add in unlock codes any more because when I dial the number to get to the screen where I enter the unlock code, every option is greyed out. I don't know what's happening and I was planning on re-selling it but now, I don't even know if the phone will take a SIM anymore. Any idea guys?
Anyone got any ideas =/

How to find out an LG-G3 is network unlocked or not?

I recently bought a used LG-G3 from Korea. The phone has LG U+ logo on the back panel and also the same is being displayed while booting up. So I suppose the device is from the operator - LG U+. The person who sold this to me said it is unlocked and he has used it with the operator KT. I came home without testing (my bad) just to find out that it doesn't detect the network on my Olleh SIM card. How do I check that this phone is really not locked on to a network? I won't be able to check the phone with another SIM card with another operator as I don't know anyone using a network other than Olleh. I also noticed that the code 2945#*400# (my model is LG-G3-400L) doesn't yield any result while I enter it on the dialpad. Neither does *06# works. But I can see the IMEI from settings as well as from the back panel (beneath the battery). The phone is able to search the available networks, but unable to register. I will be leaving for India in a few weeks and would like to know if this phone would detect the network in India? Any help?
I don't know if I am supposed to ask such a question on this forum. If not, please close.

How do I get rid of bloat from Sprint on A5050U?

Just picked up an A5050U unlocked from ebay for my wife. I bought it, because it said that it can be used on Verizon. It says that it's unlocked for any SIM card. I moved the Verizon sim card over from my wife's old phone to the new phone, and it tried to activate on Sprint's network (we have Verizon).
I've tried to install the Verizon firmware from sammobile. When it goes through the initial setup it keeps installing the Sprint software. Does it recognize the CSC code as being SPR and contact Samsung servers and install the software? When it finally boots up, it says Verizon in the status bar for a second, then switches to Sprint, then to Preferred Network.
I can make/receive calls and texts from the phone, but it has a R above the signal bars.. and that whole activation thing with Sprint.. Any ideas on if I'm doing something wrong, or do I need to return this one and get a "Verizon" phone?
