So, I recently installed PhilZ Touch 5. I wanted Android 4.4.x. Official flash from 4pda installed ok, but wifi module hasn't worked yet. I decided to install custom ROM. I installed Omega v31, but after that it doesn't boot, just walking bootloader. Another custom ROMs gives me "error 7 abort installation" when installing. How can I make Omega work? Please help.

I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 2 AT&T SGH-i317, and I was a problem installing new roms because of a corrupt internal SD that I could repair asking this Forum.
After have formated /sdcard I tried to install some new rom expecting it works. At this moment I had CWM Recovery (v 2.something, a touch one).
I tried with CleanROM 4.5 and it's stuck in the same place that before (after the seconf "Next" press). I must say it has Aroma installer.
But affortunately I tried later with JediXPX, that install witouht Aroma. And it was flawless!
So I tried with Skynote 7 (i guess) that install without Aroma also, and it works.
Finally I tried with N7105XXDMA8, wich has Aroma installer and stuck again in the middle of the process.
The solution?
I installed TWRP via Goo Managaer, boot in Recovery and could install both: CleanROM and N7105.
Please keep in mind when to choose your Recovery!
I am having a problem installing clockwork recovery from odin
i have already rooted my galaxy grand.
i installed a rom based on cm 10.1 and have been using it since a long time
now i wish to install new kitkat roms but it requires a new version of recovery.
so when i tried to install phill "philz_touch_6.12.8-i9082" from odin in download mode the installation dosen't begins at all
after that i tried many times installing other recoveries from the existing threads...but i failed
later my old clockwork recovery also stopped working and now i cant boot into it at all
please he me...

Make sure you followed the right steps.

Just note, to install 4.4.2 roms you need on 4.2 STOCK, then flash newer recovery->flash it. Now just go to download mode and flash 4.2 STOCK via odin, flash CWM and 4.4.2 roms

Try to install the CWM mentioned in pawitp's CM11 thread. It should work for all Kitkat ROMs.
Another possible problem is incorrect driver installation or damaged USB cable, that maybe what's preventing your device to download from Odin.

I had rooted my samsung galaxy note 2 a year ago. Till then I successfully flashed many ROMs. However recently when I tried to install DN3 (Ditto Note 3) ROM, when it rebooted my phone stuck on the "Samsung Note GT-n7100" logo and could not move further. It was "soft" bricked. I installed Philz recovery through ODIN and able to restore my data. After then I tried 2-3 times to install the same ROM but every time the installation failed in between.
At last I tried to install Phoenix touchwiz ROM but my phone got hanged again in between during installation. It seems there is some problem in my internal memory card which comes in between during installation.
Do I need to format my internal memory? Please let me know the probable causes of this issue.
Just wanted to tell you that all the time I wiped cache + Wipe Cache partition + Wipe Delvik Cache before commencing installation.

Are you sure you have correct recovery? Phils v6 is incompatible with Aroma installers, you should use v5.15
Earlier I used "ROM Manager" to install the ROM but when it hanged then I used Philz 6.0. Should I use Ver. 5 for the same?

If you are installing ROMs from recovery and those ROMs have AROMA installer you should use Phils 5.15. Version 6.x hangs on Aroma.

I have a Samsung Galaxy s3 on Sprint. I'm trying to install CM11 4.4.2 but am having trouble. My phone is currently running 4.3 rooted (used cf autoroot and philz touch 6 w/ CWM 6.0.4.5.)
Here is the issue I'm having; I cannot install the CM11 rom, from the recovery (philz touch) screen it looks like it completes but the phone does not boot after installing the rom, but rather hangs the recovery screen logo and doesn't progress. From here I can reboot into recovery and restore my backup, The only backup I have is of 4.3 rooted. Also, I cannot install the OTA 4.4 update from sprint, which I thought I may need to do before installing CM11. When I try to install this update,the phone restarts into recovery and installs one package then asks if I want to install a package from an untrusted source, I hit yes the phone installs then restarts back into 4.3
I would like to update the phone to 4.4 and run the latest CM release, if anyone could help I would greatly appreciate it
Hi everyone, the problem im facing is whenever i try to flash a custom rom on my t217s it gives an error that this rom is for 217s while your tab is (empty log). Now i have tried flashing official ROM and than again flashing TWRP and CWM still same error. I have tried TWRP 2.6, 2.7, 3.1.1.
I would have used the official ROM but the play store keeps crashing.
