Download mode in chinese? - Galaxy Tab S Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Has anyone else had this problem?
I have a T800 originally Chinese, I upgraded to 5.02 but the download mode is still in Chinese? the recovery mode is in English?
I have tried re flashing different 5.02 roms, and in recovery mode I get one error see screen shot maybe this is the root cause?
Your help would be gratefully received guys.

Sorry, I'm no expert on this. But I have both US and Asian models, they both show English on that screen. I heard Korean model is special with different CPU. Maybe its different kernel too?

Flashing the boot loader (sboot.bin) from an English Rom should make download mode English.
I dont even know what the sbfs partition is, but it can't be mounted by the looks of it. This is likely related to the recovery your using as the partition probably doesn't exist on your device.
Flashing an international recovery, should get rid of that error.

What about the recovery, do you still see the sbfs error?

Yep on all I have flashed so far, same error?

I guess If I can find out what file to flash in odin to fix sbfs error I would be good to go??
Edit: partial success got download mode back to English now with Switzerland rom, but still have sbfs error when performing factory/data reset in recovery mode, can anyone else confirm this is a bug with all Tab S versions???

The only thing that would affect download mode is sboot.bin, so I don't understand why non of the others worked.
Just tried a wipe in stock recovery and get the same sbfs error, so I think it's safe to say that error can be ignored.

[Q] [SOLVED] GT-I8150T ROM Download Link

EDIT: I managed to download an update version using Check Fus. Didn't know about that one. Thanks any.
Thanks in advance for any help.
Does anyone have a download link for GT-I8150T (T is the key here). I have flashed over a GT8150 rom and lost 3G since. AMSS file might also be good enough. The only site I could find so far was droidevelopers.com -> www.droidevelopers.com/downloads.php?do=cat&id=90 but that proved a waste of time so far (wth the registration and daily limit even without actually downloading anything)...
Thanks again.

So you flashed the "T" ROM over a " W" ROM, or the other way around?
How did you flash it? By using the recovery or by using Odin?

The other way around. I bought I8150T (but I didn't know it had the 'T' till it was very late). I flashed one of the firmwares for I8150 (no T). The CWM backup didn't back up the baseband also...
thanks
Glad you got it solved. CMW doesn´t backup the baseband and the modem, so probably the modem was the problem.

Flash 3-Parted FULL GB FW for your GT-I8160 and beginn from scratch. It's an russion version but you can change language easily.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=53921158&postcount=8
Aftetr that flash any GB/FW you want... Be sure that you pic one for 8160 (and not 8160P)
After flash go to Recovery mode and do factory reset....
Note that all Data (contacts, internal SD Data, etc) of your phone is lost then! External SD will be untouched - So data on external is save.
Thanks!
you helped me out!
after flashing stock firmware including the right bootloader it works.
Now I have flashed CM 10 on it and a backup for if something goes wrong.
I also found the right Modem.tar on a Dutch forum so the phone works properly!

It looks like you flashed a ROM for the t805 not the t705.
First let's get you back to stock.
Download the firmware for your device from the link below.
Follow the instructions to install it. This will get you up and running again.

No need to flash the bootloader after flashing the stock firmware.
I would do a factory reset in recovery.

Hi ya, I have already done that but issue still there. Now I can boot up and start the setup process and the tablet freezes and reboots about 1 minute into setup process near where you have to sign in to google
Any more suggestions:crying::crying::crying: please
Tbh I think you have a hardware issue.
Now new problem when I try to install twrp it will not do it, If I go into the system recovery and try to do factory reset an error shows as follows
E: unknown volume for path {/sbfs}
E: unknown volume "/sbfs"[/U][/U]
Data wipe complete.
I thought it may be battery related but I have changed to a genuine new battery. still same issue
Please please Tech God help me

Secure Boot Error

Hi guys,
I've clicked Device Test on the Hidden Menu and the phone went into ATT mode. However, it wont boot, saying Secure Boot Error, Boot Certification Verify 680 or 670 sometimes.
I have a custom ROM installed, and through the recovery I've already tried to flash my ROM again, but it is still not booting. How can I fix this?
Please help me!
Thank you

thank you for the reply but this is not really a fix for me since i don't have a backup of my data, there are things on my phone that i can't afford to lose yet, if there are other ways to try that would be great.
things i have tried so far:
re-flashing boot.img and aboot.img
flashing stock Marshmallow rom
also i read somewhere here that dirty flashing the kernel might fix this but i have no idea on how to do that.
any ideas?

Don't worry you're not into too big of a problem. That download mode is all you need. Search around xda and flash the firmware for your model using odin.
Download the last firmware form you phone here: https://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/ and then flash it with the latest odin.
