Upgrade to Firmware 2.09.720.1

I upgraded to firmware 2.09.720.1 and I have noticed that there have been major improvements in performance.
The phone does not lag anymore.
Also I noticed that the Media Link HD has been added to connectivity.
I wanted to know if any other improvements have been made by this upgrade, since I could not find any log stating the changes...

Also, the 3 finger gesture has been added and enabled by default which directly allows you to connect to Media Link HD. Just swipe from 3 fingers to get started

It is taking too long for this update to roll out in India.

I AM IN india!

I am in India too and I got the update. I have unlocked the bootloader and I was surprised that I got the OTA working without requiring locking it. Maybe it is a requirement for running RUU only. All I had to do was flash back the stock recovery for the OTA flashing to work.
Edit:
Update gave me a new baseband and that renders the RUU I have useless. Started getting reboots when answering phone calls. Went back my trusted modaco vanilla and a kernel I have built updated to kernel verrsion 3.0.38

How?? Cz I'm looking in the updates its telling me my phone is up to date

Updates are CARRIER dependant...just because it's out in india for example, wont mean EVERYONE will get them

India does not have carrier locked phones, hence phones are rather expensive as there are no deals!

Temple Run is back!
Hehe YahooOoOo!! The update removed all the bugs and Temple Run runs flawlessly now!!
Even my free RAM is above 100MB half the time!

Bluetooth Folder Issue Solved...
The new update solved the Bluetooth folder issue.... Now files get received and stored in the memory card..!

Anyone facing Reboot issue on opening Calendar or selecting Agenda inside Calender. I am facing this issue since update and my device is on stock rom/unrooted.

NO. Instead, switching between tabs is smoother and faster after the update.. I don't have the Calendar/Agenda issue..

The Network Operator name is also fixed.
On the lock screen and in the notification bar it used to show "airtel".
Now it shows "AirTel"

It is crashing for me as soon as I enter the default Calendar app of HTC except that no issues. Also I tried searching for it and found that many users are facing this issue. Sad on part of HTC, they should work on getting this fixed

I am thinking of buying a htc one V,my requirements are moderately heavy games, apps and not too much multitasking..
since both the One V and Ace 2 have similar price, what phone would you recommend?

For heavy gaming the Ace 2 would be probably better (2 core, but 800mhz vs 'ghz simple core, and MALI400 vs Adreno205, and more RAM). The question is that the look of the phone will be enough for you

music player
hey folks i got a new problem while playing music on headset on my HTC one v updated to 2.09.720.1. it knocks in every song like a sharp noisy spikes. i restart the phone and song continue to play where i left flawless but after 30 odd seconds of play song stops playing and when i play the song the same knocking sound appears... anyone having this problem?? what should i do? it happened after the update.

The new update gives boot loops
I had updated to the new update! now the phone restarts every few hours and also when the phone RAM gets a bit loaded! has any 1 experienced this? What should i do? I factory formatted , still no good results! its still rebooting..
Should i instal the previous update? how / or Should i go for the new Cynpogen/MIUI?

Yep that's true we use our phone mainly because it can call but at least with this rom it gives us a look that lollipop is really the smoothest android release yet.

Music and Play Music lag while playing songs. Camera lags too! And battery backup isn't good.

Heads up notification
I can't watch the video due to 3G quota. I just need to know if the heads up notification working or not?

Sorry for the late reply, i think not unfortunately. I've used the ROM and i didn't saw the heads up notification. Or maybe i haven't got a notification that will trigger it. Maybe next time when there's a new ROM available with fixed RIL

Multitasking...!!

I am a die hard MIUI fan. But Multitasking is not working for me, like if i start a certain game while listening song eventually Music app force stops. So i tried few other apps but the problem is occuring with all apps. It is close to impossible to use more then 1 app at a time. I am currently on MIUI7. It's not like that i had not tried reverting back to MIUI 6 or V5. Same issue is prompting. If u knw solution plz do help by commenting below. Thank you..!!

Bro i m coc adict. Does Music player works fine while playing coc..??

For this same issue, I use Xposed "App Settings" module, but you need to be rooted. The module has a feature called Resident which can try to keep the app in memory better than the rom itself and it does a good job.

i love MIUI too but miui with KK engine it's too old try to install cm13

Sorry for late reply....but you should prefer miuipro over original miui....miuipro is better in so many aspects. Well I use xcelerate kernel...but gods kernel is famous these days

how different miui pro is from MIUI..?

It's prerooted and advanced power menu...check out yourself....updates comes as soon as original one is updated...
Music bug is there for me only when I lock the screen and only when I have connected my creative speakers....looks better than developer versions

[Discussion] Which ROM are you guys using and why are you using it?

Hey guys,
Just wanted to know which rom you are using and the reason behind it.
I am using xiaomi.eu 10.2 stable, I am basically using it because of stability. I previously used pixel experience for a while, it was a bit of a hassle to boot it up.Since the dev was inactive and the rom had some bugs I had to use miui which I am not a big fan of.
The goal of this discussion is to find out if anyone is using stock android like roms without any issues.

I'm using pixel experience, doesn't have any bugs and easy enough to install.
Only downside is the security patch is not up to date

I have the Chinese device, with the Chinese developer vendor image. Installation was just the usual, flash vendor image, flash rom, format data, flash Magisk.

Stock global, because I think MIUI is cool, and I bought this phone for that.

That's about where I was, other than the notification nightmare which made it close to unusable for me. I just couldn't see the point, my conclusion being it's designed for people who like themes, which aren't my cup of tea.

Yeah notifications are a disaster. I thought MIUI was cool and I have all the pixel XL devices too, so I have choices.

There are a couple apps for which I get notifications but no sound, most notably Google Keep and Settle Up. Other than that, I don't have major issue with notifications since 10.2 update.

Stock Chinese ROM with Nova Launcher Prime for me. I like the lack of Google trash, like Chrome, not being needed to use and access the Play Store. Literally the most bloat-free experience after uninstalling the Chinese bloat that isn't needed.

Dev eu rom. Since the first release. Happy with it. No problem at all.

Cn device with global Rom, I like MIUI battery management last all day with heavy use.

Xiaomi.eu weekly with Nova prime on top.
I really like it and notifications work fine it is just a little bit annoying that you have to set app specific settings for them to work properly though.

Which messaging app are you using? For me, I could never get notifications to work properly with Google Messages, and with the native Messages app, group messaging didn't work, nor does it have a desktop interface. This may have improved with the more recent releases, but Pixel Experience was so good I have no need to bother trying MIUI again (the other big thing it was missing is the smart unlock functionality).

The only thing I'll regret in stock android is the full screen gesture. I love it in miui

The kennel is 4.4.192-perf+ #2, built on Fri Nov 15
Battery seems fine to me, similar to Android 9 so far. But it's too early to make any conclusion, we'll have to wait a few days of use to see how it goes.
Edit : one has to enable the new gestures. They fill very natural after a few seconds, and free the space that used to be taken by the navigation bar.

I have problem with podcast addict, pause resume lag is to big about 10s (when I press key on my Sony headphones) when on mobile data (streaming). Also eq doesn't work in this app.
Google duo no sound, mic doesn't work...
Battery is not good like on droid 9.0

Correct.
The one issue I have with Android 10, is the GCam ports don't work so well. Black.rider's 6.2 seems not to save any pictures, or to freeze a lot. 7.2 are also quite unstable, I'm still looking for a good one.

Thx. It won't save any picture. Do you use particular settings or a config? The list of provided config files don't have one specific for Nokia 7.* phones.

I'm actually happy I decided not to update yet. Seems Nokia didn't work out all the bugs. My worry now is how long it will be until they fix these bugs.

Hm strange , for me work great.
All default settings, just turn on every permission for app.
Also u can try better mod for n8.1 , work on n7.1 too , gcam 7.2 version

Got the OTA update about two days ago, and it basically killed my WiFi and Bluetooth radios. They work, sort of, but my main router WiFi cannot connect, and Bluetooth audio skips for no real reason. I even did a factory reset to try and correct this with the OTA update file out there, but essentially it didn't fix my issue, and now I'm pretty upset that I did that.
Anyone know how I can downgrade back to Pie so I can at least connect to WiFi and get all my apps back quickly?

Upgraded. No real issues at all. Slightly decreased battery life for first two days then fine. All my hardware and software work 100% no problems.
I connect to multiple Bluetooth device regularly in the car and on bicycle rides. No issues with Garmin. No issues with anything.

Yes, I had an issue with voicemail couple of times. There have been lags too. Bit disappointed. Had similar experience when upgraded to pie from nogut last year on a different device.

Can you try if equaliser works properly? It not always work for me
