I am a die hard MIUI fan. But Multitasking is not working for me, like if i start a certain game while listening song eventually Music app force stops. So i tried few other apps but the problem is occuring with all apps. It is close to impossible to use more then 1 app at a time. I am currently on MIUI7. It's not like that i had not tried reverting back to MIUI 6 or V5. Same issue is prompting. If u knw solution plz do help by commenting below. Thank you..!!

Bro i m coc adict. Does Music player works fine while playing coc..??
For this same issue, I use Xposed "App Settings" module, but you need to be rooted. The module has a feature called Resident which can try to keep the app in memory better than the rom itself and it does a good job.

i love MIUI too but miui with KK engine it's too old try to install cm13

Sorry for late reply....but you should prefer miuipro over original miui....miuipro is better in so many aspects. Well I use xcelerate kernel...but gods kernel is famous these days
how different miui pro is from MIUI..?
It's prerooted and advanced power menu...check out yourself....updates comes as soon as original one is updated...
Music bug is there for me only when I lock the screen and only when I have connected my creative speakers....looks better than developer versions

I took lots of video at my Nephews Bday party during weekend finding long charge times though out the week.,,,,like 4.5 hours to full charge.
I did some searching around leading me to Video Player being the culprit
Some explanation:
When device is put on charger Stock Video Player becomes active Transcoding is constantly running video thumbnails in background cranking up cpu.
If you have large video files , movies etc app is working harder and with that comes slow slow charge.
For the fix I made edit to TranscodeReceiver.smali applying return-void to (const-string v1, "android.intent.action.ACTION_POWER_CONNECTED")
With this modification app sleeps until you wake it.
How to Install:
No need the clear cache.
Make back up.

This is awesome. I myself always have this problem. Watchdog is always alerting me about video player. But since I upgraded to Scotts Cleanrom ace 4.9 I havent had any problem with video player. But im keeping this zip around just incase I need to it for another rom. Thanks again for another awesome mod.....any new news on ICS Splash?

Right on well it has nothing to do with his rom......Its the Sammy Video Player,apk , sometimes it plays nice & sometimes not cycling stored video when charging.
Ive come across long charge days in the past but never really caught my attention until hours of video was stored on device.
4.5 hour charge was a wake up call for me . Why in the heck Sammy has Video player run in background when charging device is beyond me....pretty stupid on their part really.
S3 owners have been dealing with this issue for sometime reporting bad results , long charge time & bricked device due to overheat when charging.
Luckily are device is rock solid no major overheat issues reported so were safe on that front.
As far as ICSP The current base is same as CR4.9 so all is good.
I do plan on updating theme but pretty busy building rom for it now.
Like to report that I installed this mod and it has changed my charging times dramatically. My charging times have been very slow since installing CR4.9 and now after the install my charging time is faster than it has ever been. Big thanks to sling for his mod! :good:

freeze it? If you mean disabling app that's not possible.
If you stop app in running apps it will restart when charging.
You could rename app using root explorer....something like VideoPlayer.apk.NA
Such edit will make app absent.
Best bet install OP version & install secondary app from playstore if wanted

Sorry I mean like Titanium Backup you can freeze apps or uninstall them useing the app. I should have been more specific. But by removing it or freezing should solve the issue correct?

TB freeze should get the job done.
Give it a go & plug into charger , If app doesn't show itself in running apps your good.
From my understanding, the videos are being transcribed so that there are animated GIFs that play in the "Thumbnail" pane. If all videos are transcribed to their respective GIFs, wouldn't the long charge time go away?

DMC3 kernel has some charging flaws.
Saber is rock solid which this tweak accommodates speeding up charge even more

that is not an issue with the ROM brother that is an end issue from facebook app itself ,
whatever rom you are on it would keep happening until facebook fixes it

i have stock rom v1 but i have the same problem with facebook app, no video playback and it crashes:angel:
Came to know that this is a facebook app bug in canvas 4...nothing to do with the rom

Videos play fine on Facebook v7. I'm still using version 7 of Facebook instead of version 20 lol. Yes, it's a Facebook problem.

Seems like an updated firmware is available with a fix for facebook. ( seems like this is released to moulnisky today only.

There is probably some display resolution error which micromax is not concerned to solve or they dont have quality engineers
because of which many games like cut the rope, vector MC4 are not running.
Perhaps you can install the following roms in which games as well as fb app videos work:
#1. Speed Rebirth v2:
1)This rom has no bugs and games work fb video works.
2) camera is lenovo supercam 13MP is quiet buggy but can be updated to get solved.
3) has soft navigation keys (eats up the screen space by 1cm). cuz the hard nav keys are lit off but are fuctioning which is annoying.
4)music app is walkman with sony equalizer. (If u need you can install Viper4android via playstore)
5)one more annoying thing I feel personally is that the status bar is almost filled due to the big network bars and slanted battery bar
#2. PureXperia Z2:
1)Even this rom is good except one bug which is due to the storage swap(internal is shown as external and external shown as internal) Even if you use the unswapper by default apps like whatsapp and facebook are installed on the external SD card as the system considers it as internal SD card.
2)camera is default SONY camera 13MP bugless.
3)Music app is Walkman updated with viper4android equalizer.
4)Initially this ROM didnt have the soft nav keys but the update brought the soft nav keys which are always annoying as we have got the hard nav keys functioning which cannot be disabled even if the backlight is off.
#3. Kitkat cynogenmod rom
1) Even this rom is good except the storage bug and the camera is down at 8MP.
4. Safari v3:
1) this is also a good rom to get a close to stock experiance and no storage bug but is quiet unstable sometimes wifi hotspot doesnt work GPS pull down button gets stucked (rarely).
2) camera is default camera of canvas 4 and is down at 8MP.
3)Music player is default SAMSUNG music player and has the viper4android equalizer.
4)Does not have the soft nav keys
Note: Due to battery tweaks there is a caliberation error but its safe because battery is shown 10% more than what it is in actual
Still I am working on ways to solve the problem on the default stock rom

You may want to do that as MIUI6 is released for Redmi 1S (few days ago). Now the beta version 5.5.8 5.6.9 is released for Redmi 1S and you can grab the global ROM from following official link:

I've tried almost all the ROMs available for our device; but I was getting irritated due to voice quality (music, calls via speakers as well as headphones) with those ROMs.
So finally I've installed this and found that there are almost no bugs in this ROM. Also the voice is crystal clear and the battery life is awesome compared to those custom ROMs.
If you have any questions about upgrading to this update\ downgrading from lollipop custom ROM to this ask them here :good:

How many apps can run in the background simultaneously?
Does the music player still stop suddenly during playback while screen off?

Free Ram : ~200-300Mb.
You can run 5 apps in the background before things start to force close automatically.
Yes, the music player also force closes when there are 5 apps open.

Free RAM is around 320-330 MBs
I can run up to 10 apps simultaneously without any FCs...
I don't know about Music Player. I don't listen much.

Well, I've been on Miui 6 all day, and so far the experience has been satisfactory.
After a reboot, I had about ~300-350MB free.
I was able to run 7 apps before things started FC'ing.
Other than it not being Lollipop, there's not much to complain about.
Oh, also, it still occasionally overheats but it cools down quick enough when you switch the display off.
Which version are you using. The global version or China version and what about the google apps

Solved 3g issue setting manually my carrier. Still have problems with mic unopened
I find that if I connect a headphone and play music (via any music app, not just the stock one), after some time after the screen goes off, and after phone could go to sleep mode, the music cuts off every now and then, It comes back up in 15 seconds or so, and note that this isn't the sound cutting off (becoming lower actually) due to some notification for 2-3 seconds or something. Not sure what the issue is.

there is new fire hound game booster coming to aosp roms by default that is almost same as miui game booster. syberia will have it in the next build. i dont know which which rom has it though

I like the ui, the fps meter you can access messages n whatapp while being in game via small window.

Lol, if you optimize MIUI it's the same or better than AOSP. I mean I get almost always over 10 hours of SOT.

Even so, I see for myself no reason to go through the hassle and unlocking my bootloader. The newest MIUI Pie performs well enough for me and I not notice any lag. And pure AOSP would be useless for me, since I need Google for my backups and alot of savegames from my games I play and of course for the games themselves since MicroG can't emulate the PlayGames Api. And last I can't compare a Performance difference to any Other phone, since my last phone before I bought my Note 5 last year in october, was an old Galaxy S4, so I didn't know how any phone performs between the S4 I had and my Note 5 and anything above of course, since flagships are way out of what I'm willing to pay for a Smartphone. And since I love to have a certified phone and don't like Magisk, I prefer Stock anyway without any modifications. The only thing I do is that I disable some useless Apps through Adb like Chrome or Play Music/Movies and my adblock comes from Blokada, that's it and I'm happy with it.

dont know abt that bro. DU recorder could do that bt sadly people say its not in playstore anymore so u can google and search for it

Miui has this fantastic feature with reduced touch input lag. It would be great to be able to activate this functionality outside of games when browsing the web etc[emoji3] I know battery drain Will increase but to me,its worth it. Is this even possible to achive in the future with modding of the Phone firmware?
It was no more difficult than selecting whatever app you want to boost from the list (not just games) yipeee! But...google apps and system apps are not selectable. It’s great enjoying “iPhone smoothness” in Tapatalk or opera or what ever app you want a great response from.
Please help!

What do you mean by "can't install"? Does it gives any error like compatibility issue? Or?
