The kennel is 4.4.192-perf+ #2, built on Fri Nov 15
Battery seems fine to me, similar to Android 9 so far. But it's too early to make any conclusion, we'll have to wait a few days of use to see how it goes.
Edit : one has to enable the new gestures. They fill very natural after a few seconds, and free the space that used to be taken by the navigation bar.
News gesture?

Autocorrect probably. I would assume they meant "new gestures".
Anyone having issues with the echos with voice calls or lag/sluggishness like mentioned in the following thread?
https://forum.xda-developers.com/nokia-7-1/help/android-10-update-broke-calling-t4022177
I have problem with podcast addict, pause resume lag is to big about 10s (when I press key on my Sony headphones) when on mobile data (streaming). Also eq doesn't work in this app.
Google duo no sound, mic doesn't work...
Battery is not good like on droid 9.0

Correct.
The one issue I have with Android 10, is the GCam ports don't work so well. Black.rider's 6.2 seems not to save any pictures, or to freeze a lot. 7.2 are also quite unstable, I'm still looking for a good one.

Thx. It won't save any picture. Do you use particular settings or a config? The list of provided config files don't have one specific for Nokia 7.* phones.
I'm actually happy I decided not to update yet. Seems Nokia didn't work out all the bugs. My worry now is how long it will be until they fix these bugs.

Got the OTA update about two days ago, and it basically killed my WiFi and Bluetooth radios. They work, sort of, but my main router WiFi cannot connect, and Bluetooth audio skips for no real reason. I even did a factory reset to try and correct this with the OTA update file out there, but essentially it didn't fix my issue, and now I'm pretty upset that I did that.
Anyone know how I can downgrade back to Pie so I can at least connect to WiFi and get all my apps back quickly?
Upgraded. No real issues at all. Slightly decreased battery life for first two days then fine. All my hardware and software work 100% no problems.
I connect to multiple Bluetooth device regularly in the car and on bicycle rides. No issues with Garmin. No issues with anything.

Yes, I had an issue with voicemail couple of times. There have been lags too. Bit disappointed. Had similar experience when upgraded to pie from nogut last year on a different device.

Doubt its a "ROM" issue. Judging by those apps, its not passing some sort of authentication check within those apps.
*Notification* led works fine. The Samsung implementation as it is on stock doesn't work, which makes sense.
Plex works, you just have to set it up right.

My point was that there's more people who DON'T use those specific broken apps than who do, so, CM10 can be a daily driver for MOST people.
And I didn't say LED notifications weren't working (they are); I just said that the Touchwiz-specific charging/charged mostly-useless-notification isn't implemented in CM.

Call Echo and Netflix
The only real issue I'm having now is the echo that the person you call hears that started when the fix was added for being unable to hear phone calls on answer (until you toggled speaker). I see there is a merge regarding audio in the latest nightly (0823), but it specifically references d2usc not d2att, so I'm not sure it even applies, even if it is related to this issue. Does anyone know if the echo on the other end is still present after 0823?
Other issues I still have even after a full wipe, but that aren't as important (and are otherwise well-known), are the inconsistent wake behaviour of the home button (just use power button instead), and occasional screen flicker when you don't disable hardware overlays. There's also the >160 character SMS thing, but mine seems to split the messages in half OK (instead of sending it as one message, which would be preferable).
As for Netflix I do not use it, but when browsing the changes at r.cyanogenmod.com a few days ago I came across one that stated in the comment that it was to fix the Netflix issue for our phones. It wasn't merged at the time, though, and I can't seem to locate it now. I'll post it if I do so you can watch if/when it gets merged. Either way, they are aware and working on the issue, and it seems to be fixable with ROM changes.

What worked for me was Advanced Settings, use Plex OpenGL Player, Transcode Off, Direct Play Enabled, and Device Supports HLS OFF(unchecked).
Ok so my thoughts so far after using the latest build (08/23) is that its good and I will use it as my daily driver, a few things here and there that I miss from touchwiz, but overall its an awesome rom hiccups here and there, but stable enough as a daily driver.

I gave up on the preview build a few weeks ago, but it's much better now. I won't consider going back to stock until JB is officially released.
...unless I change my mind before then.
That setting will basically stream the movie without any type of transcoding or compression which defeat the purpose of using Plex. Also you will not get audio on any video unless is only stereo. The purpose of Plex is to be able to stream your movie collection without having to worry about compatibility with your device.

Hello guys and girls!
Are you tired of all the custom ROMs that are available around? And want to return to stock MIUI?
You may want to do that as MIUI6 is released for Redmi 1S (few days ago). Now the beta version 5.5.8 5.6.9 is released for Redmi 1S and you can grab the global ROM from following official link:
http://en.miui.com/download-226.html#325
I've tried almost all the ROMs available for our device; but I was getting irritated due to voice quality (music, calls via speakers as well as headphones) with those ROMs.
So finally I've installed this and found that there are almost no bugs in this ROM. Also the voice is crystal clear and the battery life is awesome compared to those custom ROMs.
If you have any questions about upgrading to this update\ downgrading from lollipop custom ROM to this ask them here :good:

How many apps can run in the background simultaneously?
Does the music player still stop suddenly during playback while screen off?

You can run 5 apps in the background before things start to force close automatically.
Yes, the music player also force closes when there are 5 apps open.

Well, I've been on Miui 6 all day, and so far the experience has been satisfactory.
After a reboot, I had about ~300-350MB free.
I was able to run 7 apps before things started FC'ing.
Other than it not being Lollipop, there's not much to complain about.
Oh, also, it still occasionally overheats but it cools down quick enough when you switch the display off.

I find that if I connect a headphone and play music (via any music app, not just the stock one), after some time after the screen goes off, and after phone could go to sleep mode, the music cuts off every now and then, It comes back up in 15 seconds or so, and note that this isn't the sound cutting off (becoming lower actually) due to some notification for 2-3 seconds or something. Not sure what the issue is.
Hey bro, how to revert back to miui rom from custom rom...?
A port from a S3's CM12 ROM for the [SGH-T399] Samsung Galaxy Light .
DISCLAIMER READ EVERYTHING BEFORE ASKING QUESTIONS. This ROM was built for the T399, even though it was built on a rom that presumably worked on both models. People with Metro encounter FCs and Reboots when using High Accuracy GPS.
Android Version:5.0.2
With @Unjustified Dev's CM12 Build (https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=95784891001602113) as a base (Thanks for your service!)
Also the Light in the name isn't because of it's size (yet(?))
Bugs:
- stock Cam still iffy, 3-rd party cam apps work. From personal use, Focal (by CM) works great, Cam Mx is good too.
- Prox/light sensor for telephony (off display when phone to ear) is iffy as well. From my use Gravity Screen has trouble using the light sensor when the flip cover option is not selected (6/10), when it is toggled the use is 8/10. Interestingly, when calling the screen turns off when close to ear flawlessly, sometimes it might not turn back on tho.
- Report if I left some out
--Streaming apps (Netflix, YT, Play Movies) has been reported to be not working. Some report that it's dependent on the .apk version. On the latest ver. of YT it works with no problems on various resolutions.
Oh and also.
I am not responsible to any damage to your device, PLEASE do a Backup of the device on TWRP.
Oh and as of right now I do not have the device in my possession. I GOT IT GUYZ
I'd like to thank you for supporting and testing this and helping to build support for this great device. :highfive:
Want a stock ROM as backup or for daily use? Here's my build Don't it's unstable.
I am holding off development until I get the device, sorry.
Read everything? Good, here's a link as your reward
ROM: V0.1 https://www.androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=35178
(Vanila) V.02 https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24052804347772131 - CM stuff removed (for now), proximity sensor seems to be better
(Dirty) V0.2.2 https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24052804347773480 - build.prop battery tweaks, added cam permissions in the boot.img, let's see if that makes a difference.
(Dirty) V.0.2.3 https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24052804347774276 - libs migrations en mas (from stock, let's see where this rides takes us, HAVE A BACKUP READY PLZZZ)

What do you mean by a little? I can expect the gamepad and alexa to not function but the battery should either work or just not.

I meant alexa mod, not the battery one.
I'm having an issue with SMS messages. MMS seem to work fine. I'm assuming this is an APN issue with Verizon since there's no mmsc server listed when I view the (read-only) VZWINTERNET APN.
When I get back home, I'll try manually editing the APN config to see if I can fix this issue. I haven't been able to find a functional APN editor app yet.

Turned out to not be an APN issue. After several hours of frustrating trial and error, I'm not 100% sure what fixed the issue. I *think* it was reflashing stock, then lineage, and then stock /vendor again.
This is getting weirder. I can always send both SMS and MMS, but receiving is a different story. After a fresh reboot I receive all SMS messages. UNTIL someone sends me an MMS. The MMS never shows up and then I stop getting SMS messages too. I'd appreciate any ideas on how to resolve this.
Here is a newer build of LineageOS
Download: lineage-16.0-20190119-UNOFFICIAL-beckham.zip

I will make a legit LineageOS thread in the coming days. Also, an Official RR build is coming real soon too [emoji41]

Any know bugs?
Is there Moto Mods support (at least battery pack)?

Not that I'm aware of. And yes, there is Moto Mods support. Not sure which ones do or don't work tho, but battery pack should definitely work.
Also, just a little teaser [emoji6]
Never mind the security patch date (it's actually Jan 5th), that is due to my Magisk module I created for the Z3P and G6+ to pass SafetyNet on the Pie soak and customs ROMs/GSI's [emoji41]

Ok, thanks.
I'm using Havoc (GSI) right now and have been through some battery issues, so I'll try LOS.
EDIT: Just flashed the ROM and man, it's fluid. Everything working flawslessly so far.
Thanks for the work

How can this problem be fixed?

Thanks for helping,
But this problem can be fixed only by Nokia it seems. I've uninstalled every evenwell app found in my 5.1 plus unit, still I see no difference.

I have a Nokia 5.1 Plus which is different from Nokia 5.1.
Still I ran a code to stop duraspeed since it can't be uninstalled. Still no difference

Dude even I ran that adb command, nothing happened. I even ran the command which was meant for majority of Nokia Phones. no result. Only Nokia can fix this issue. Even in the April update, no improvement was made.

Will "May" updates solve this problem?

That's strange, it works for me, at least after that the apps that I exclude from battery optimisation no longer get killed.. Have I noticed that after April update, my wallpaper kept reverting back to default instead of being handled by my wallpaper changer, so I ran that ADB command first setting it back to 1 then setting it to 0 again. After that things work as expected

Please outline the steps for me, so i can try and see if it will work for me, while i wait for HMD Global to fix the mess.
Thanks.

How come that's possible? I'm having a hard time trying to find various ways to fix this problem. Running those commands made absolutely no difference to me. This problem is really getting on to my nerves. I'll try what you said later in this post

Seems they won't until q, if they wanted to do they would've done it in this update only. It can't be possible that they don't 'knoe' about this issue

Never mind, since the April update it's stopped working. I wonder what the problem is with these people
Edit
Restarted my phone and so far it hasn't killed my apps.
I did both the duraspeed and the evenwell options. Everything was fine before April update but afterwards it started killing my apps again, so I set the duraspeed setting back to 1 then 0 then disabled the evenwell stuffed again and restarted my phone
Guys i got this from the Nokia 5.1 forum
https://forum.xda-developers.com/nokia-5-1/help/nokia-5-1-missing-background-activity-t3888584/amp/
I'm still testing but it seems to be working so far
Edit:
It's been over 4 hours now and my apps are no longer being killed. I've restarted the phone a number of times and everything is still fine.
I think this method is the real deal

Yes
Basically it's the duraspeed disabling option. Problem is that everytime you restart your phone the duraspeed becomes enabled again, so you have to redisable it using an app like tasker and set it to execute on boot.
My apps are still active by the way

Thanks man, I didn't know that it used to get renabled, but now I know. My apps too are not being killed that way. And that Tasker method seems to be too lengthy, so I'll choose to disable it after every boot .
Thanks
You made my life easy
