Eye experience update.... Through the play store!????

So I wake up this morning, check Google play like every morning, and there's updates to BlinkFeed, Zoe , and the HTC Camera,and the camera change log states "Eye Experience Update"..... No crop me in... Oh well,seems like a last minute decision by HTC to hurry up and get us ready for 5.0

Same thing. I never uninstalled it, I still have it, yet when I view it in play store it says device not compatible... Kinda weird considering I took the update and have it installed still...

Actually i checked about that on internet i found that they have removed the update for the verizon and other M7 varient but not for M8 because its was getting too much bad response from users . I have even mailed to the development team but they haven't replied yet . Lost the camera clarity after this update ia good that i have got it in my phone .

Incompatible Apps?

Anybody else finding apps that are incompatible with this phone? So far on my CN model, I have had issues with a few video streaming apps:

Anybody else try these apps so far, and if so what were your findings?
Maybe we can also keep a running list on this thread as well to keep clutter to a minimum? I will try to update this first post as often as I can to try to keep a running record that you won't have to scroll through multiple posts.

After updating from 2.14 to 2.19, Xfinity to go and Watch TNT work. Haven't tried the Fox or ABC apps yet.

My question is WHY do this apps fail? Is it because of the Intel processor, graphics chipset, missing application or handler for the video, or is it just something stupid.

Mortal Kombat X fails. All of my other apps work fine so far.

I'd love to know that as well. This is my main reason for ebaying my ZF2 and considering going with a LG G2 instead of a US ZF2. I really love the phone (coming from a Nexus 4 who wouldn't?) but while not having LTE is not a deal breaker not having my streaming apps properly working is.

Can someone confirm the working of Modern Combat 4... Modern combat 5 works well...

G2 has its issues as well, I have one for a work phone... The lollipop update cut my battery life in half, even after a factory reset, and the GPS is pathetic, if I can get better than 30 meter accuracy its a great day, my Nexus 4 would do 3 meter accuracy in seconds, and the lock screen flat out infuriates me.

Damn, that's disappointing. Most people seem to love the G2. I'm sure LG will fix that faster than Asus will fix any ZF2 issues though, or I'm hoping so. If the video streaming apps I regularly use worked I would have kept the phone, or would be swooping in on the US version now. Maybe it's time to look at the $315 GS5 although I'm not sure that I want to. Having the ZF2 for only two or three weeks, it's not easy going back to the screen size of the N4. Even my wife's GS4 feels small. I know the G2 is still smaller than the ZF2... but compared to the N4 only marginally so.

Thanks for checking in! Wifi and signal strength were both strong. I've tried these listed apps after several updates and after rooting a few times. Could have been a one-off issue with my particular phone?

Rhapsody doesnt work. I have 2 Taiwanese WW versions. Boots up, but once I sign in (or anyone else), it just crashes. I stream all day at work, so its a necessity. Anyone with the North America version have a different outcome? Thanks.

Watch TNT - force closes when I open the app.

Lag and stutter. HTC, what happened?

Hello XDA people,
I bought unlocked HTC 10 few days ago and I am really disappointed by using HTC software. I am coming from ultra debloated Galaxy S6 and touchwiz (I know you won't believe).
With HTC 10, I have lag and stutter all around - system apps and other play store apps... It is fast when opening apps but scrolling lag is present in every possible app, even Settings app. I have latest update and I have done factory reset after latest update but lag is still here. How is this possible for HTC device? As far as I know, they were always very fast and clean with their own Sense Android experience. What happened?

Did you buy new or used? I've had my unlocked 10 since launch I only really get lag with power saver turned on.

Btw I have official 2.41.401.41 and that is the latest version for international unlocked version.

mine is the US unlocked and is version 2.51.617.21

I have the same HTC10 WWE with same sw version.
Compared to HTC U11, HTC 10 is definitely slower on opening apps and scrolling. I confirm that in Facebook and Google Photos, the scrolling lag is there when the content hasn't fully loaded yet. But heavy lags like your description is not the case on mine, in setting app is butter smooth, no lag at all.
It is possible that you cleared all caches so that the loading speed is slower. You feels S6 is faster and probably it is the case because even Samsung has a relatively bad sw, but the hardware is top, USF 2.0 for S6 if I remember rightly meanwhile emmc5.1 for HTC 10. That's 2 times the speed difference.

The kennel is 4.4.192-perf+ #2, built on Fri Nov 15
Battery seems fine to me, similar to Android 9 so far. But it's too early to make any conclusion, we'll have to wait a few days of use to see how it goes.
Edit : one has to enable the new gestures. They fill very natural after a few seconds, and free the space that used to be taken by the navigation bar.

I have problem with podcast addict, pause resume lag is to big about 10s (when I press key on my Sony headphones) when on mobile data (streaming). Also eq doesn't work in this app.
Google duo no sound, mic doesn't work...
Battery is not good like on droid 9.0

Correct.
The one issue I have with Android 10, is the GCam ports don't work so well. Black.rider's 6.2 seems not to save any pictures, or to freeze a lot. 7.2 are also quite unstable, I'm still looking for a good one.

Thx. It won't save any picture. Do you use particular settings or a config? The list of provided config files don't have one specific for Nokia 7.* phones.

I'm actually happy I decided not to update yet. Seems Nokia didn't work out all the bugs. My worry now is how long it will be until they fix these bugs.

Hm strange , for me work great.
All default settings, just turn on every permission for app.
Also u can try better mod for n8.1 , work on n7.1 too , gcam 7.2 version

Got the OTA update about two days ago, and it basically killed my WiFi and Bluetooth radios. They work, sort of, but my main router WiFi cannot connect, and Bluetooth audio skips for no real reason. I even did a factory reset to try and correct this with the OTA update file out there, but essentially it didn't fix my issue, and now I'm pretty upset that I did that.
Anyone know how I can downgrade back to Pie so I can at least connect to WiFi and get all my apps back quickly?

Upgraded. No real issues at all. Slightly decreased battery life for first two days then fine. All my hardware and software work 100% no problems.
I connect to multiple Bluetooth device regularly in the car and on bicycle rides. No issues with Garmin. No issues with anything.

Yes, I had an issue with voicemail couple of times. There have been lags too. Bit disappointed. Had similar experience when upgraded to pie from nogut last year on a different device.

Can you try if equaliser works properly? It not always work for me

Question Slower after Android 13/One UI 5 update. Anyone else?

It seems like the phone is ever-so-slightly-slower following the Android 13/One UI 5 update.
Splash screens of various apps consistently appear for a few split seconds longer than before. In fact, at least one app that used to launched instantly now shows a splash screen for a fraction of a second before launching.
Is this just my experience, or do others see the same thing as well?

Download good guardians from the galaxy store and over the app galaxy app booster. Ran it and look again

I found that upgrading from A12 to A13 slowed my phone down. Did a Factory reset and was so much better...

But I'm trying to figure out if the small slowdown after Android 13 update is an anomaly or if most people experience it. Do you?

My phone came with Android 13/OneUI 5 preinstalled, but I later received an update with January security patch and I started facing issues after that update.
The scrolling works very bad, its like there are some ghost touches. When I scroll thru WhtasApp/Telegram chats, photos in gallary, webpages the scroll sometimes doesn't work, just like the screen didn't even register my touch. If I try to scroll fast, the scroll stops in between, just like a ghost touch or something.
I was also facing issue with fingerprint scanner when the phone screen is off for some time, but I got it resolved by removing existing finterprints. and registering new ones.
The scroll issue is a real bummer for me. I hope it get fixed with the next OneUI 5.1 update.

In Addition to what I listed above, I faced one more strange issue today. I received the January security patch AGAIN today. It's like before, the download size, update description, all is same.
The previous January security patch update I got was installed successfully, I could see it in the software section, I am not sure why I received same update again.

There was an issue with the first Jan Security Update. 2nd one should fix majority of the bugs

Can someone here please confirm if you are able to scroll faster? I mean, I have my old OnePlus 6 with me. If I do a simple test to scroll once in a telegram chat, OnePlus scroll backs to more number of chat messages compared to S21FE. The S21FE just scrolls to few lines.
Anyone observed same issue?

Yes. the scrolling on the S21 FE is much more stiff and "heavy" than my old J series Samsung phone. In addition, many screen taps aren't noticed by the phone, requiring me to tap again.
You should report it in the Samsung member app like I did. The more people who report these problems the bigger a chance that a patch will be issued.

But you should. Do it and dont restore system options. Problem solved.
Btw you can use your phone without reset when its a small update but its a totally new android version so you must reset.
