Just wanted to say thank you to all ZL users. For now I must say good bye for my ZL had gone to phone heaven. My ZL had the nasty case of shutting down by its self and will only stay on if plugged to the charger. For the 3 years I had my ZL no complaints, it served me well. For now. I'm using an old unlocked Moto razr for now until I decide what phone to get... Thanks again ZL community... Until we meet again!
R. I. P to your ZL
Or you could just change battery of ZL.It's the known issue of ZL where it works only while in charging .There are many threads about it.needs 15-18 $ battery to give your ZL whole new life.Decision is yours after all.

Why is there no separate forum for the Xperia Neo?
The news about SE unlocking the Xperia bootloader is great, and I'm eagerly awaiting the launch of the Xperia Neo here. However, I'm surprised at the absence of a forum for the Neo.
Is there any reason for that? And how easy would it be to port a custom ROM, originally written for the Arc, to the Neo? (Seeing that the Arc would be a much more popular device with people).

I think it'd be better if we got a forum for the Arc and Neo together. The only hardware difference is the display (which shouldn't matter for development etc) and the front-facing camera anyway...
Yeah I'd like a forum for Neo as well... Though, software wise the Arc and Neo are pretty much the same, but I gotta say I like the Neo more because of its smaller size and it fits better in the palm of your hand.
Wouldn't trade my Neo for an Arc... =)
I might be wrong here guys and girl's but hasn't the Neo been pushed back till closer to June?
As with the whole having to source an entire new manufacturing facility things are running tight.

Yep, June now.
Even SE don't have any Neos to hand, let alone enough to start selling them.
thats so sad...
i really wanted a neo, but now im thinking of desire s maybe.. tho the camera sucks on it.. and the bootloader is locked, so far.
dunno what to do
please i beg u guys if u could make a seperate forum for sony ericsson xperia neo

Can you use the Arc ROM on the Neo without having problems?
The original one not.
It has to be ported to the Neo.

Anyone know? Or is the stock in the stores & warehouses all there is of this phone forever?
Yep all new devices are being made, if shops are selling it is only old stock.
New phones like the s,p,u are just coming out so why make old phone.

I dont think so..Sony manufactures a model atleast for a year from the month of launch.
i dont know whether "Sony" and "Sony Ericsson" will cause a problem..
but normally they dont stop production atleast for a year.they may reduce the number of output.
BTW Wrong section...Question goes to Q&A Section and NOT in General Section
i bay it for 220euros 1 month ago

Stopped?
I have contacted the biggest electronics shop today and they don't sell the Xperia Arc S anymore because they're out of stock. The informant also told me that Sony Ericsson stopped producing these phones because Sony bought Sony Ericsson. The best way to still get this phone is to search online on the internet. There are still enough people who have a new Xperia Arc S.
So I beat the crap out of my ZL in order to find the holy test points that can be used with s1tool to repair hard bricked Sony phones. Unlike Z1 or Z, ZL doesn't have any test point on the motherboard that's very obvious. At lease I don't see them [Check the pictures of my disassembled ZL].
Please chime in if you know about ZL test points - don't assume unless you're quite sure. And yes I tried pretty much all golden dots on the front side of the board board - no luck. This gentleman created a wonderful guide for ZL, but he's not sure about ZL test point location. Now I'm thinking the point could be on the back side like the older phones. Any clue will be much appreciated. Thanks!

Hi everyone!
Can I trust ebay/aliexpress for new battery? Any after-buying suggestions? (ebay preferred..)
Like most of ppl, since I updated to 5.0.2 lp my battery drops from 30% to 0..
As I see it, after a lot of research and experiments, it's probably hardware issue..
Thx

Would you say it's on par with original battery, when you bought phone?
There are multiple sources online, I found some in Latvia and Spain, but they all look the same, don't know if it is worth to pay a bit extra for them.
I've just bought this phone as used, second hand phone and I'm getting ~4hours screen on time, on wifi, 3g, whatsapp, messenger, without gaming and lowered adaptive brightness. Don't know if it's worth buying new battery or that should be normal.

Often chinese batteries have those capacities are just written and batteries aren't half proclaimed capacity. But if it holds charge as original, that's whats important. Thank you very much. Do you remember at which seller you bought it, can you post link or send me as PM?

NFC above battery
Hi.. Did you change the battery by yourself? How did you change the NFC?

Yes.
That's a little tricky - there's 2 stickers- a brown electronic one, and a silver metal one beneath. Be sure to move BOTH to the new battery. I had some problems until I realized that.
The easiest way is to cut around the whole thing with sharp blade and stick it back in the new battery.
Good luck!
