Bricked Xperia S

Hi guys.
My Xperia S got bricked, i don't know why :/
I have a deodexed stock rock for some months now. one week ago i've done a full reset, under settings menu.
Yesterday, i was going to check if i have any message, and my phone is dead.
It does not want to turn on, led does not torn on with charger or connected to PC, and my PC does not recognizes it even with flashtools.
I've tried some Unbrick tips, nothing worked. Removed battery for 7 or 8 hours, tried to flash something, nothing happens...
Can please someone help me?
Thanks!
Erm. I recommend you to bring it to a sony service center or to a technician.
This happened to me also, the technician said that the board is damaged and replaced it. And now its working again
At first he tried to replace the digitizer and LCD but nothing happened.
How much did you paid for the board?
I'm not lucky at all... -_- I think i should not traded my Sony for another brand... lol

I'm not worried about Lollipop... I'm very satisfied with android 4.4.4 on my Mi3...
But if you could buy the Mi4, you will not regret, and i think it will get Lollipop before Mi3...

Z1 Compact or LG G2

Hey!
Hey! I'll buy either the Z1C or the LG G2, which one should I buy? Could you help me please? Advantages/disadvantages with either phone? And try not to be to much of a "fan-boy" please
I want a good mobile camera but I've heard about camera freeze issues every 5 photos or so? Is that fixed? And how good is the camera really? I've heard different opinions about that! And what about that Sony forget about their "older phones" is that true? I know Z1C will get Android 5.0 but after that? Do they send out bugfixes frequently? For how long do you guys think that Sony will support Z1C? Anything else I should be aware of or forgotten to ask about?
I'm not buying any other phone than one of these so please don't suggest any other ones, thanks in advance and sorry for my english

Good morning,
your English is just fine, but your questions. Sorry, you can find all the answers on the net. Who knows now how long Sony will support Z1c? Lollipop is coming sometime in the first half of next year. I do not really know the G2 but for me that size is already too big. I have never experienced camera freezes and never hadproblems with picture quality (which is a personal issue I think).
Hope that help.
Best regards

1: Are you happy with the phone overall? 2: Is there lots of support from people on this site? I mean Sony will stop the support to Z1C in the future and it would be nice to know that I might be able to get the support from people on here for atleast a couple of years or so when Sony stops sending out updates/bugfixes
Thanks for taking your time.

I am absolutely happy with my "precious". Despite the fact that you better use protection from the 1st minute, it will satisfy my needs for a long time. As for support, I am quite sure there will be developers to provide some very fine custom ROMs for the device for a number of years.
Best regards

[Q] is it worth it?

Hi! I got the current offer on my table for 2 days and I gotta think about it.
It's an Xperia Z1 Compact unlocked for 88GBP. Unused. (not fake ikr)
Now I ask you about it , is it worth? Did you got problems with it during it's lifetime?
Thanks
Bargain, buy it!

umm well, not like that! BTW, I did a little research and seems you r right.. I better save on some more money! Thanks!
Don't take Xperia S, battery is really bad (3h max while browsing internet on 3g / wifi), 1GB of RAM is not enough for this phone

good that common sense prevailed.
buy a new handset even if your budget is a limiting factor. this way you will save the hassles of battery issues + android version.
Dude, it's almost 4 years old..., not 3. Still alive thanks to XDA devs. I'm amazed how I started with Gingerbred 2.3, and now I'm running full-blown 5.1.1 Lollipop. That phone survived for 3 generations!

Is G4 still bootlooping on manufactured versions of 2016?

Im planning to buy this smartphone by the end of January 2017, its the European version I think (Spain)... But Im afraid it would still bootloop as older G4 devices manufactured in previous months, so...
This problem has been fixed in newer devices?
I was thinking in buying the G5 but the price I have found for this smartphone is quite interesting.
Greetings, and happy new year
Hi ! I don't know at all.....but mine is a h815 sn 506 bought on the begining of November 2015 ....and never have had problem ! Work like a charm ....

How many times is this gonna be asked? No one can tell you if it is fixed with "newer" G4 devices. Anyone who owns this device should have a backup device because you can't trust any G4... and even if its fixed, I still do not recommend this phone. It has many other problems which is in my opinion not worth to deal with. I regret buying this phone.

If you really want to go with LG, buy the G5, that phone isn't flawless but much more reliable than a ''newer" LG G4.

Oh it didn't really bother me, I was more like: Another one wondering if newer versions of the LG G4 are bootloop free...
Well simply no one can tell you for sure, there are some reports of newer versions boot-looping, but that are only a few but still some..
If I was you I wouldn't go for a LG G4. Take the G5 instead if you really wan't a LG phone. That phone has less problems and has better hardware and will be more worth your money in my opinion.

its a risk you are going to take.. but if your want to decide , then yes we cant tell you but, indeed 6XX have low chances of bootlooping but it doesnt mean it wont..
someone said that he opened old opne and when he received the 6XX the internal had better quality and previous had not.

Yes I know, I never said that there aren't G5's with bootloop problems but with that device it is way less common.
And that why I think he should better go for the G5 if he really wants a LG phone.
It's a worry though - if they can bring out a new gen device that still has the flaws it took them a 35000 strong petition to even acknowledge... not a trustworthy company.
I'm sorry to hear ppls had problems with their G4 phones .
What I can say , speaking from a developer perspective , LG g4 is great , at least the one I have , I have a h815 European Unlocked , serial number starts with 6xx.
I just can tell you that i stressed this phone like no other phone before .
I always think how this little piece can take so much stress.
I'm a rom developer and I can say I i flashed and reflashed over 10 -15 times per day different roms.
I build Maru OS for this phone and I runned Debian inside it ,with a lot of app oopened and a lot of multimedia tasks , and tested a lot how apps works on it , even games.
I used it like a pc , using debian and I can tell you I stressed it a loooot .
What I can say is that is a good harware , I do not try to convice anyone to buy one and I do not want ppls to spend money on something that can easly brick . But told you , I was impressed how mine resists to stress. No problems in 4 months.
Have a great day all !
Mine is 602 and it's still going strong. No issues. No overheating. It's works flawlessly.
