Hi, I recently unlocked bootloader in my device, and I proceeded to install HD Revolution ROM.
I had some issues, but I solved them. Then, next to install ROM and boot it, appear 3 message error:
- unfortunately system ui has stopped
- unfortunately easyaccessservice has stopped
- unfortunately htc dot view has stopped
I tried to solve this but I cant, I wiped cache (in other post recomend it for this issue) but I try to restart and same error appear. And the phone stays at: Unlocking your SIM card and setting up your phone", but it dont stop.
Any ideas for this??

Restore you nandroid backup or flash a stock Rom / or RUU

I had this issue too..just reboot your phone and everything will works normaly again..
i hv this issue alsi when i'm using lower class memory card. now using class 10 16gb card with bionic rom without this camera failed problem.

Try to flash a new Camera.apk to you phone. Hopefully that is only software problem.

do u have cwm on ur phone? reboot ur phone into recovery then choose advance and choose fix permission, wait until finish, then reboot ur phone after it finish
Unfortunately I have the same problem. My camera does not work anymore. I just receive the message "Camera failed". I still have the stock rom installed and I did not modify too much (I just installed some apps). I have already reset the phone to factory settings which did not solve my problem. Does anybody have an idea what I could try to fix the problem?

I just have formatted my device and flashed it with a stock rom. Unfortunately it did not solve my problem with the camera. I still got the error message "camera failed" when I click on the camera app. Any ideas? Is it a hardware problem? Should I flash a custom rom?
I got that message once, and I panicked. Fortunately, rebooting did it just fine.
Perhaps there is something wrong with the firmware...I searched the net and found this article, maybe useful, IDK.
Thanks for the reply and for the link. Unfortunately I do not understand step 3. When I scroll to "Camera" I do not see a 2nd option which should be named as "user". I just see "camera" and "camcorder". What should I do? Do I have to root the phone?
ok, I have rooted my phone and I have tried the fix described in the link above again. However, I was not successfull. I do not get these options described in the link ("user"). Maybe I am using a wrong version of Pro Launcher. I just downloaded the new version from market...Anyone with a suggestion/idea?
Camera failed
I used to face this problem quite a lot when i was using the stock rom, but after flashing to cow's rom, the problem went away, no more camera failed anymore
Yesterday after upgrade to baseband v. i8150dxlc1 Kernel [email protected]#3 (KIES UPGRADE) i dont have that problem anymore

Since this moring my phone is constantly rebooting. It first started when I tried to update 6 apps via the market. I´m on Paranoid Android 1.9.9.1. it worked smooth without any problems until today. I´ve alredy tried to reflash erverything but everytime i get the same result: the phone working for a minute and then suddenly out of the nowhere rebooting even if i don´t use it. Then i tried to wipe my phone which didn´t work either. Neither via cwm nor through the settings. Of course i have already searched the forum for possible solutions but it seems like i´m the only one who has ever experienced it. Could someone please led me to a thread wher my problem is discussed or provide me a solution i don´t what to do . Thanks in advance for everyone who is trying to help me.
P.S. I found out that i doesn´t reboot if i do not unlock it. If i unlock it either with sim inserted or not it reboots. WTF???

Flash your phone back to stock first to see if that resolves the issue.

I´ve already tried to do something similar, but the problem is that everytime I try to copy something to my sd it reboots.

You don't need to copy anything to your sdcard. Flash back to stock using this.

If you have any CPU apps that apply settings at boot maybe that's causing the reboots

no i haven´t got any cpu apps installed and have neither played with the cyanogenmod options. Im going to flash JRO03C via Odin because i´ve got some problems with efrants guide.

HTC desire 816 touch screen not working properly, have to press several times each button. i bought this mobile this november 2014, instead of samsung S4, i bought this HTC, but it is irritating me lot, i tried for phone reset also, but getting same problem, im planning to go to show room for replacement,,,,,.......

I just resolved this issue with help of mygamers. As advised by him I download stock 1,58 kernel from here https://www.androidfilehost.com/?w=...20a0dd4400e309e7d0fd260a360ef37e06faf2f86678f. I flashed it and now my cell phone's touch screen is working perfectly. My cell phone is HTC Desire 816 a5_dug. Try it, it may work for you as well.

Same issue here, 816x Asia. After any Rom I flash I get this a few mins after boot. Only on stock it works perfectly. I tried different kernels with roms and used 2 kinds of recoveries. Most recent versions of twrp and cwm ... Any ideas?

have same problem on all different roms (carbon, cyanomode, pacs, miui, etc....)

does anybody test different kernel? I used stock kernel that was downloaded it from Internet.left side of screen disabled.
This does seem to be a Kernel problem; more specifically, the kernel not being compatible with the Rom or your specific hardware variant.. the only thing I can think of is an RUU exactly for your variant will solve all the problems. your phone's warranty is void so you can take it to HTC care (like Yas mobile in IR) so they flash the right RUU for you if you can't find it here. after getting the RUU, you can safely update to 1.58 via OTA to fix any remaining problems becasue it're really stable and bug free
I have the same issue. No one seems to know what it is. i am on the 816x asia single sim. I have tried stock kernal, garak kernal. CM11 CM12 Miui, Carbom. same thing happens. After i get through set up (time frame 5 mins tops) the touch screen stops reacting correctly. IE having to touch things more than once, swiping becomes harder and if i go into the pointer location DEV tool i can see that holding my finger in one spot it sparatically bouces around. Only on the stock rom the touch screen works fine. i have recovery 6.0.5.1 CWM i have tried flashing on TWRP. I am guessing this could be a 816x firmware issue. maybe this touchscreen isnt the same driver as the other htc's or if the source is packing the galaxy ts driver this is reacting to this version of phone. A guess at best.

From what I understand, This issue has nothing to do with hTC anymore. They have fixed the touch problem on their latest update (1.58). but if you install custom roms or backups not specifically made for your device, it is possible that you will have incompatible versions of HBoot, Kernel and Rom. this will lead to the situation that even after updating to 1.58 you'll still have the touch problem. now you can do several things to fix it; one is to try and find the suitable backup and after restoing that backup, update via OTA to fix the problem. another one is to install the RUU and then update via OTA. if you can't find the files or find the process diffiicult, you can take it to HTC care and explain that you need the RUU flashed and let them do it.
I've heard that they can even do it over the internet but I haven't tried personally

I'm on cm12 nightly on my desire 816 dual sim wenevr I click on mobile network option in my settings the system UI crashes and I loose my network..... This happens each time I try it...n den I have to restart my device to get back my network....is der any solution to fix this prob so I can access that option in setting without crashing system UI

and when I wanted to call to someone pop-up is showing this text "Unfortunately, Phone has stopped". I had same problem with Cyanogenmod 12 and 12.1. This is so annoying that i can't repair it alone. I hope for fast help.

did you clean install before install any custom rom? like cyanogenmod or RR? try to wiped system , data , cache and internal storage. and try to install that with no any gapps package is installed. if problem is fixed may be problem is from your gapps package, but if problem still exist i want to ask something. are you dual sim device or single sim device?
EDIT : and remember. before install cm 12 and up you need base rom android 4.3 or 15.4.A.1.9 to running this custom rom properly or same with dual sim device
I'm Single sim. I did full wipe before installing it. I tried also without gapps. So now i got another problem. Because my USB port in phone doesn't work. So i can't flash stock rom :/ Zipaligned stock rom will work?

i don't know, but flash ftf stock firmware is required for back it stock .

At least try to get logcat to know what's wrong.
Install app Logcat Extreme
Launch and give root
Press 4th button and tap Confirm
Minimize app and produce crash
Return to app
Press button with floppy disc
Select Save current log
Upload file from folder /sdcard/LogcatX
Also you can back to stock without PC: use backup
This really can be solution. Maybe radio stuck in bad state due custom ROM's.
Now I got all what I need to be happy Now I will try back to stock with thread you posted and I will write if everything will be ok. BIG THANKS to you

Reverting to stock was suggested as fix for custom ROM's.
So maybe try them too. Curious about result.

So maybe you recommend any rom? Now i got another problem! The Volume +/- buttons doesn't work :/
Okay so I recently bought a HTC one m8s second hand and it works 100%.. only thing is. When I try to install the update it is aborted every time. Boot loader appears telling me that certain files were not recognized and stuff like that. Does anyone know what I can do to fix this?

I have the same issue. From what I gathered on Google it is because of a modified system partition (I installed xposed which I believe causes this)
Only fix AFAIK is to fully revert to stop like the guide here shows. Problem is I tried it and it said the 0PKVMG.zip or whatever it is wasnt the correct one (when it was)

I don't quite know what that means. But I will research it and give it a go. And tell you if it works
You can only flash an official ota if you are completely stock AFAIK.
