no, you have to use twrp
help?
I can not acces in wifi on cm11 20150421
device bricked
I tried to install the ROM and failed (having twrp). I then tried to start by installing the boot.img. logged to bootloader and installed it. Install was successful but after restart the device does not boot. It just starts giving the htc warnings and then black screen.
Is there something that I can do? The phone volume bottom does not work so I cannot press the volume down
Thanks

Do you have adb access (you propably should because you flashed the kernel)?
Then just reboot to recovery, do a full wipe, flash the rom, reboot to bootloader, flash the kernel and reboot.

it seems that I do not have adb access. When I do (after connecting the phone with usb cable):
adb devices
I get:

Ohh, I forgot adb access is disabled by default.
Plug your phone into the computer, hold the power button and wait until it shuts down. Then the charging animation will start because it's plugged in and in this state you'll have adb access.

I followed your step but I have no idea to which charging animation you refer. It is htc one v so there is only the led light shining orange when charging. When I do adb devices in this state I just get am empty list.

Are you using the newest version of TWRP?
If the recovery doesn't boot when plugging a charger while the phone is turned off I can't really help you and you have to open the device to get the volume buttons working...

I use TWRP 2.6.1.0 and I see the latest is 2.6.3.0 so I am not on the latest. It was helpful if this was mentioned in the rom install instructions (which are missing )
Sad seem like it is time for a new phone...
I will try to fix the volume but I tried in the past and it seems that it is really broken (I spilled some petrol on the phone in the past).
Thanks for the help.

Thats a really sad way to brick a phone, but I don't see any other way to recovery it...
What's happening when the phone is plugged in and you hold the power button, does it just turn off?
This is the newest version of twrp, you'd have to flash cm with this version...
And can you give me a link to the recovery you're using?

Any bricking is sad whatever way... still this device had an interesting life full of ups and downs so cannot complain.
When the device is on and plugged in (you can see that the black screen has a bit of light)and I press the power buttons it takes some time and then it just gets dark, nothing special.
I will try to open and bridge it with someone professional since I do not have proper tools.
The recovery I am using (or was using) is http://dl.twrp.me/primou/twrp-2.3.1.1-primou.img. I see now that it is quite an old one. Long time since I flashed a ROM but yours looked exciting...
I really appreciate your help but do not feel guilty. Playing with the phone carries it's risk and I was aware of it.

Using the headset microphone for calling or just recording?
Calling was a problem in the last builds also.
Few questions.
Hi,
Right now I'm running Android 4.1.2 (CM version 10-20140322-UNOFFICIAL-primou) with 3.0.16-HELLBOY kernel as I find it the smoothest combination possible with JB ROM.
I'm also using the latest supercharger v6 script blackdog i think, fly-on mod and crossbreeder, greenify and the rom is very very smooth. I got the cpu running at 1,5GHz+ all the time without any errors.
The recovery I'm using is: PhilZ Touch 5 CWM Base version v6.0.3.7
Do I need a special recovery for kitkat (cm11) and lollipop (cm12)?
Do I need to wipe all my data? How are the backups made with the Titanium backup app? Are they working on KK or LP?
Thanks in advance for the answers.
U guys are great! I'm so happy I can use this device with even today even if I switched to WP with my Lumia 735.

Then I tried to flash new rom via sony update service, but it gives me an error. Flashing with flashtool also not working. Maybe someone got any ideas about what I can try yet?

T2 ultra dual cant turn on and cant charge
T2 ultra dual tried to charge it in a wall charger and tried it in usb connected to desktop charge but it only shows me a blinking red notification light.
i tried to turn it on but it wont. i tried to hard reset it with power button + volume up but nothing happen
Happened the same with me
So here's what I did
Use a branded data cable
And a 2amps output charger
Connect both
And connect it to your t2
Turn on the power of charger
As soon you see sony logo turn on the t2 normally
If it doesn't show sony logo, then disconnect everything and reconnect and repeat the procedure until it shows the sony logo
And don't let the battery go below 5 percent
Keep it to charge if battery is below 5 or 3
So yo won't have to do the 3 minutes procedure once again
And yeah..use a stable base..don't let the charging pin or mobile move during this process
For the question asked by narendra17
or just get ur charging slot replaced
d-Did i brick my phone ? it flashes red&blue& black display [d858hk marshmallow 30a]

Hey guys,
So this weekend I decided to give lineage OS 16 a try on my Xiaomi 5, the process went smoothly I think, but the battery life is really bad, so I wish to try other ROM.
Now the thing is, I cannot connect to my computer (And I could with the previous MIUI), and if I run adb devices or fastboot devices (When on fastboot) nothing shows up. I have android debug enabled.
Any ideas on what this could be?

You have twrp installed. So you don't need adb for next ROM. Try without GApps to save battery.

Hey. Thanks for the answer, I am still a bit noob on this so I am not sure I completely understand. Yes indeed I have used twrp , but I used the command fastboot boot twrp.img . Before that, I also did fastboot flash recovery <recovery_filename>.img. Does this mean that I have twrp installed or that I booted directly from it from my computer? I ask this because, when I go to recovery (Hold Power + Volume Up), I dont go to TRWP menu, but rather to the Mi-Recovery 3 menu.
Thank you!

So turns out, if I use my old cable (Which is a bit ruined at on end), it works. But if I use a new cable, that I just bought, it does not work. That is super weird right?
Thank you anyway. I am flashing Pixel Experience at the moment. ANd now I am TWRP installed.
Well, i'm kinda scared because i already installed a lot of custom rom's and everything works fine every time. Yesterday i installed the MIUI 12 Beta chinese version and after i saw that have one global beta version so i download the global one, installed the pre loader to prevent the bricked device and installed the twrp recovery to install the global rom. I wiped everything as always, installed the rom and reboot the phone... Now he doesnt show nothing, just died, he doesn't stuck at boot loader, if i connect him to the power the charging led turns on, he vibrate if i click at the power button but no image at all, nothing...
I tryed to connect to pc and turn it on at fastboot thinking that the ldc pannel was burned but no, the pc iddentifies a divice and 1 sec after he just unplug itself...
Can someone help me?

What device shows up? Can you do a lsusb (if you're under linux or can run a linux distro)? If you press Vol+ does anything happen? Does SPFT work?
Beware some people reported problems using the preloader with Android 10.

Well im not using a linux distro but i can install ubunto if needed!
If i pres vol + or - and power after like 10 sec he vibrates but nothing happens...
What is SPFT ?
follow this guide

and use the files from this for your corresponding device
https://www.cyanogenmods.org/forums/topic/how-to-unbrick-redmi-note-8-pro/
please dont flash the indian preloader or the lk files or itll be bricked again, use orange fox recovery for andoid 10 as recovery as to avoid bootloop in using reboot to recovery option. (saving you guys some money and time, had to reflash my phone a couple times before just sticking to miui 12 with custom recovery

SPFT is Mediatek's flashing tool. It is used when their phones hardbrick. You should read about it now.
If the phone vibrates, you most likely have some preloader flashed, the question is which. You should follow the instructions mentioned in iRayn's post above. If you still got the factory preloader, you're in luck, the guide will definitely work.
If you don't have it, you'll likely need to use an authorized account, but first try getting a ubuntu image (you don't need to install it, just run a live version); there's some useful info that can be gathered from lsusb. Particularly if you see 0e8d:0003 in lsusb's output when pressing Vol+, try again with SPFT while pressing Vol+.
