Hello,
I'm using Arconium rom when i tryed to install the CM9 to test, well i just flashed with fastboot the new img from FX and install the rom. The instalation started but returned an error that i don't remember something about lt8i (my phone is lt5i).
I go to flashtool and tryed to get back to stock rom, but without sucess, now my phone show the Sony Ericsson logo and later it stay black.
Thinking i can fix this i relock the bootloader with flashtool files (found on Xperia Arc forum) and still not fix. Now i cannot unlock the bootloader "oem failed" and the phone doesnt start.
Please someone can help-me with a tutorial or something else ?
Take battery out, connect it to pc, press the back button and now plug in the battery again and see if it connects in flashmode then.

Hi guys!
So, my sister got a Galaxy Ace II yesterday with some ode stuff, then I decided to install Cyanomod 11, BUT more problems appered:
1 - My Windows 7 (64bits) doesn't recognize the drivers.. so it no even list the phone as conected. I tried using Kies to detect and a bunch of packages of drivers of this smartphone model, but till now haven't made any progress... what can I do?
2 - I reseted the phone to original especifications by his own menu and tried to acess its Download and Recovery mode by pressing the 3 buttons at the same time(Vol UP + Home + Power), but for my surprise it didn't boot like it should, jus initializing normaly...what can I do?
3 - I realized, when it booted, that the boot animation has been changed, samsung logo doesn't apper ever and including I found some stuff installed that doesn't seem to be something that generic stock roms have instaled; this made me think that the room installed is not its stock. If that's so, maybe the problems listed above are resolved, but still so I don't know what to do...
I want to install Cyanomod 11, but need the phone recognized for Windows, it rooted and in download mode, but haven't find a way to begin if my computer doesn't reconize it...
Any Help?

Yes, I hold the 3 buttons at once and waited to it boot, but it jus performed the normal boot, it didn't get into download or recovery mode... I tried many times, but it's always the same...
And I know that CM has it's own boot animation, I know it, but it's not it this time... it's another one... and for what I know, it's not the samsung original one...
Having Kies installed is counterproductive to installing flashing drivers (and if you sync contacts and calendars with Google I can't even think of why you need it :angel
Try unplugging the cable while entering recovery, the LPM mode (charging while "off") screws it up (but download mode should work!)
And by "no Samsung logo", you mean not even the firmware's "Samsung GALAXY ACE 2 GT-i8160"? Sounds like you got a fake then...
But if it boots, you should check the Settings/About menu and tell us the "build version", often that's enough to know what ROM is on it now

Ryccardo, I installed Kies in the hope of having the drivers easylier recognized... But that was not my luck...
About that trick could you be more especific? Do I put the phone off with the cable plugged to PC and when I press both 3 buttons I unplug it?
About the version it is :
DM_BASE_12A_W12.43|sc6820_modem|11-02-2012
And this means that??? It's not the original one, right?
Thanks for the help in advance!

Recovery mode is: with power off, hold up+home+power (if it's on, it will reset since you're holding down power... keep holding it) and download mode is the same with down+home+power...
But that version is VERY dubious, the standard Ace never had "SC6820" (maybe it's the L model?) and I don't even think it was out at the start of 2012...

Strange, afaik galaxy ace 2 is shipped with 2.3.6 android.
Did you succed booting in downlaod mode ( Vol down + home + power )
you have to flash Stock JB and we will see what is going on

No, I still couldn't reboot it nor in download nor in recovery mode...
Even doing what Ryccardo said, it still boots normally..

So could you please post a photo of the sticker under the battery (preferably with the entire inside back of the phone showing)?

Ah, sorry, I remember how much the <10 post restrictions sucked
But back to your problem, this is not an Ace 2... I suspected it since you posted that version number:
Googling "sc6820_modem" has http://www.pandawillforum.com/archive/index.php?t-18643.html at the end of the 1st page
2nd post there mentions "Star I8160"
Googling "Star i8160" on images shows http://www.gldron.com/media/tmp/catalog/product/6/4/64cfade20f06e0e31ffd853fb1f8009a.jpg as 5th result... while searching the version number on images shows a lot of Samsung clones...
Unfortunately you have fake galaxy ace 2 (
You cant intall any rom on that device

By this you both mean I don't have much to do to change the rom?

You surely can't use roms from these forums... There may be other roms for your device but you'll have to find out what it actually is first, which can be somewhat difficult...
Poor sister of mine.. She won't be happy in knowing this...
Anyway I wanna thank you Ryccardo and Rox!
You both Saved me a bunch of tie searching a solution that doesn't existed...
Thanks guys!

I can not acces in wifi on cm11 20150421
device bricked
I tried to install the ROM and failed (having twrp). I then tried to start by installing the boot.img. logged to bootloader and installed it. Install was successful but after restart the device does not boot. It just starts giving the htc warnings and then black screen.
Is there something that I can do? The phone volume bottom does not work so I cannot press the volume down
Thanks
Yahalom

Do you have adb access (you propably should because you flashed the kernel)?
Then just reboot to recovery, do a full wipe, flash the rom, reboot to bootloader, flash the kernel and reboot.

Ohh, I forgot adb access is disabled by default.
Plug your phone into the computer, hold the power button and wait until it shuts down. Then the charging animation will start because it's plugged in and in this state you'll have adb access.

I followed your step but I have no idea to which charging animation you refer. It is htc one v so there is only the led light shining orange when charging. When I do adb devices in this state I just get am empty list.

I use TWRP 2.6.1.0 and I see the latest is 2.6.3.0 so I am not on the latest. It was helpful if this was mentioned in the rom install instructions (which are missing )
Sad seem like it is time for a new phone...
I will try to fix the volume but I tried in the past and it seems that it is really broken (I spilled some petrol on the phone in the past).
Thanks for the help.

Thats a really sad way to brick a phone, but I don't see any other way to recovery it...
What's happening when the phone is plugged in and you hold the power button, does it just turn off?
This is the newest version of twrp, you'd have to flash cm with this version...
And can you give me a link to the recovery you're using?

Any bricking is sad whatever way... still this device had an interesting life full of ups and downs so cannot complain.
When the device is on and plugged in (you can see that the black screen has a bit of light)and I press the power buttons it takes some time and then it just gets dark, nothing special.
I will try to open and bridge it with someone professional since I do not have proper tools.
The recovery I am using (or was using) is http://dl.twrp.me/primou/twrp-2.3.1.1-primou.img. I see now that it is quite an old one. Long time since I flashed a ROM but yours looked exciting...
I really appreciate your help but do not feel guilty. Playing with the phone carries it's risk and I was aware of it.

Using the headset microphone for calling or just recording?
Calling was a problem in the last builds also.
Few questions.
Hi,
Right now I'm running Android 4.1.2 (CM version 10-20140322-UNOFFICIAL-primou) with 3.0.16-HELLBOY kernel as I find it the smoothest combination possible with JB ROM.
I'm also using the latest supercharger v6 script blackdog i think, fly-on mod and crossbreeder, greenify and the rom is very very smooth. I got the cpu running at 1,5GHz+ all the time without any errors.
The recovery I'm using is: PhilZ Touch 5 CWM Base version v6.0.3.7
Do I need a special recovery for kitkat (cm11) and lollipop (cm12)?
Do I need to wipe all my data? How are the backups made with the Titanium backup app? Are they working on KK or LP?
Thanks in advance for the answers.
U guys are great! I'm so happy I can use this device with even today even if I switched to WP with my Lumia 735.
Hi guys. After unlock bootloader and flash trwp & xiaomi.eu rom, phone doesn't detect sim-cards so i can't login to Mi account and start using phone. also i can't to check imei numbers for correctness. what's gone wrong?
Did you lost imei?

yea. i think so it's lost. how can i fix it?
i can't start the system to turn on USB debugging... can't to detect and mount /data via qtADB to turn it on.
I see tutorials on miui forum but is down now. Check there or on youtube

I'm having the same problem, my sim card is not being detected...
But in my case it looks like that IMEI1 and 2 are fine.
Any suggestions??
Maybe can someone share the original QCN file?
Thank you!

Delete Mi Fit data and login with a diferent account, Mi Band will reset and reinstall the update. At least this helped me multiple times after a failed update
