Anyone have any ideas why my phone refuses to charge my battery correctly and the wall charger that came with my two spare batteries does a much better job? If I charge my battery through the phones usb I get maybe 5 hours of use but when I use the charger that came with my 2 cheap spare batteries I'll get 8 to ten no matter which battery I use.
Here is my opinion on the situation.

basically it is charging your battery correctly. The problem you are likly having are
1) your battery stats is off and you ahvent recalibrated it so the phone is stopping the charge early
2) you leave the phone plugged in for long periods of time because the phone does not use a trickle charge process it does nto stay at 100% and can acctually be anywhere from 90-100% charged even though the light is green
the reason there is no trickle charge is to try to prolong the life of the battery. the battery stats is to try and help the phone gauge when to shut the phone off and when to stop charging so it doesnt completly drain the battery or over charge it. both have benefits and draw backs.
try recalibrating your battery so that the phone has a better understanding of the acctual life (you may charge the battery fully in the wall charger then put it in the phone wipe battery stats in recovery and the let it drains till the phone shuts off. recharge it fully and go on your way.
the no trickle not a lot you can really do about that.
Guess that makes sense. So you think I should get a full charge from my wall charger then wipe battery stats from my recovery then let it drain 100 % then full charge it and it should recalibrate it?
And thank you for the help.

You'll be fine using that charger, but you may not see charging speeds as quick as the original charger.
But on that charger are even normal charging ports..which is better to use?
Tnx
You should be fine but it's worth noting that Google suggests only using the power charger that came with the device.
Google's Battery lifespan, charging & usage tips
1. Use the power adaptor and charger that came with your device
Other chargers can charge slowly, not at all or damage your device or battery.
2. Keep it cool
Avoid situations where your device can overheat. Your battery will drain much faster when it's hot, even if you're not using it, and this can even damage your battery. Bear in mind that your device warms up when it's plugged in, so try not to keep it charging all the time.
3. Don't worry about calibrating the battery
You don't need to teach your device how much capacity the battery has by going from totally charged to completely drained.
4. Keep it more than half charged
For the best battery lifespan, try to keep your battery charged above 50% as much as possible.
5. Try to charge a little at a time
Small charges throughout the day are best for battery health. Battery lifespan can suffer if it's charged from zero to full and then completely drained on a regular basis.
6. Store your device half charged
Leave the device with a half-full battery if it needs to be stored for a long time.

Hey,
Is there a way to power this phone without a battery is plugged in?
It won't start without battery while charging and if you plug the batter out while your phone is on it will Shut down.
It would be very nice for Gaming because the battery isn't charging and discharging heavily on the same time.
Greets.
I want to know if people have done this too... probably will involve some DIY....
I'm using mine right now with no battery, only the quick charger plugged in. Turned it on with battery in and charger plugged in then took the battery out while the system was booting. About 10 minutes into use currently
I am using 2 phones as home survilance system and one is the camera. Its old phone galaxy mini 2 but works very good for this. i just make handmace holder and place it as camera and battery drains faster idk why only mobile data set to on and AtHome Streamer (camera app) I am not at the place where camera phone is and i just see that remains with this app and 3G remaining time around 4hrs on battery. If i plug it into charger is ok but if i leave it plugged all the time battery will ruin?! Battery recharging cycles and idk about this and is there any build in mechanism or app to customize pattery recharging because i think if there is 100% will stop automaticly charging but app will drain some % and at 98-99% phone will start again to charge and when hit 100% will stop then again same and i will ruin battery.
How to plug always to charger but set only to rechgarge at 1% for example and all the time before reach 1% to stay and do not recharge but WITH PLUGGED CHARGER CABLE
