The stock calendar app on my Samsung Galaxy Note does not retain all of it's settings if I happen to reboot my device. I like using the Calendar View + List, but if I reboot my device it will reset itself to Calendar View + Pop-Up. It also does not retain the ringtone I choose. If I reboot, it will default back to the On Time ringtone.

Ever since the 4.1.2 upgrade a few days ago I have the exact same issue on my Note2 - mildly annoying I agree
So this might be a dumb question but I've looked all over the place. I have a Jedi X11 ROM on my Note II T-889 and I can't seem to find the call settings. Reason being is that I keep getting charged for call forwarding and the MPI codes from the cell company I'm with won't work to shut it down. I've done them all. They are blaming the phone and I can't find any settings within the phone to shut it down. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Those settings can be found in the dialer application

I would like to setup an IFTTT.com automatic notification so i get an SMS notification as soon as Samsung announces the 4.2.2 firmware for N7100.
Anyone suggest what the best way to get that info would be? eg i can setup a custom twitter search for say N7100 for @Samsungmobile or something like that but wanted to check if anyone else has already done something similar and has a better solution - what is the most reliable RSS feed or twitter feed that I could monitor automatically so i get the update asap?
Thanks!

There's a bug right now because you've changed from Forum by ID to Forum by name in the url's
I've just noticed it at the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Section, maybe it also occurs somewhere else.
All three development forum links are pointing to: http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-tab-3/development
This Link finally shows you the Galaxy Tab 3 10.1 Android Development Forum.
My phone is a LG Optimus G (a F180 converted to E975, stock Euro firmware), but from googling this issue it seems to be a problem that can strike any phone with no readily apparent solution...
I first noticed it while playing Star Wars KOTOR, where it'd get stuck; flipping the phone (to better orient the charging lead) started leaving the picture upside down. Initially, I could fix it by long-pressing the home button to get at my notification bar and toggling auto-rotate off and on, before it crapped out entirely (necessitating an orientation-locking app), which led me to think it was a software issue...
But after googling the problem and seeing how widespread it is, I'm thinking maybe these sensors are just prone to failing? I saw all sorts of possible solutions offered, which apparently work for some, but it seems nothing solves it for many, including factory resets and flashing firmware... I uninstalled KOTOR when I was done with it, but to no avail. I don't fancy figuring out how to flash the firmware again, but if that's what it takes...
Does anyone know anything about this issue? Am I stuck with a slightly crippled phone now?
Bump
Hi
Thanks for writing to us at XDA assist. Please standby while we have your thread/question moved to the appropriate sub-forum for your device.
For future reference you can find your device sub-forum here (bookmark/subscribe this):
LG Optimus G
Within that section you will find a dedicated q&a sub-forum (this is where your thread is going to be moved to):
Optimus G Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting
Good luck!

Hi, I know there's a sub-forum for my particular phone, but the reason I posted here is that it seems to be an issue with the sensor chip that's common to many phones.
And I haven't seen much evidence of any solid knowledge about the issue, so I wanted to avoid restricting possible responses to a tiny subset of experts.
This place appears to be lacking some sort of 'umbrella' forum for issues that affect more than one model of phone... I thought maybe this could be it.
XDA Assist isn't a general technical support area, our purpose is to point people who don't know where to post in the right direction. You might have luck posting in one of the more general sub-forums (they do exist)

Yep, I don't see any issues with that at all. Good luck [emoji1]

Perhaps check the N4 threads. There was sensor issues with early gee roms, but seeing as you are already on a stock i cannot think another way to help.
I had to send in my Phone after the sensors stopped working. It seemed to be a hardware fault. They only worked if the phone temperature was under 10Celsius.I would restore the original Firmware and send it to LG.
Hope I helped you
Try restoring to stock firmware, or flash stock CM12..?

You need to flash the original F180 Firmware and send it to LG afterwards
