Hi, Im running MIUI v4 and when I go to App Manager It says I have about 54MB left in my internal storage. However, When I try to download Skype (about 25MB) It says that my internal storage is full. I'm not sure if thats a system bug or it's not showing my internal storage correctly? Any ides on this?

It Does.
In CWM partition your SD card to ext4 and
try ex2int --> put it to init.d folder in rom package and reflash your phone. After restart and reboot you will have a space from sd card on your phone.

One question. I understand I have to reflash ROM for this but can I use a backup to restore it after wipe so I dont't have to install everything all over again, Or I must reflash NEW ROM?
Use odex version.
Sent from my HTC Wildfire S A510e using xda premium

Dont panic. With stock rom i had 4gb free space... That 3gb from your phones storage is for system files. I recommend you to buy a memory card

Hi guys, sorry this my first post and i am a total beginner in this. I am planning to flash CyanogenMod, for my xperia sl but before i do that i must delete data/ restore factory settings right ? But if i do that wont it delete the img. file in the internal storage ? , since my xperia sl has no external storage or a partition on the device named "/sdcard" .... So where should i keep the the img.file then ? I am scared that if i proceed then all my files including the CyanogenMod rom is removed then i cant flash anything ...

This will not happen.
You should indeed wipe data (and wipe cache and dalvik cache) when installing a new ROM. The data on your SD card will remain there, like your music and other stuff. Just place the *img. file in the root folder.
Good luck with flashing your new ROM :good:
Thank You

Hi,
I've recently rooted my HTC One X (unlocked,...) Erased data and all, but i can't get all my storage... Memory in settings is showing 1 gb free of 5 gb app memory and I can't install any app, whereas the internal memory is free and has been erased as asked.
I have used factory reset, wiping data from CWM but the app memory won't get erased and still shows me 1 gb free only.
What to do to wipe EVERYTHING on the phone ?
Thanks in advance !!

You can't erase that space because it is used by system files, it's normal to get about 5 GBs used by system folders (/system, /data, /cache...)

If you format internal.. The backup is deleted.. Thats why I always use the ext sd for backups..

@live16: from TWRP, Backup, Storage setting, you should have a choice of Internal Storage, Micro SDcard and USB-OTG and the free space shown for those.
If you select Micro SDcard your backups should be at the top level of the SD card /TWRP/BACKUPS/'PHONEID"/...
