Hi so just few days ago I bought lg g3 d855 as my old phone kick the bucket.
What I'm finding is that my internet is very slow compare to my old phone with the same SIM card and data plan. (i'm using 3g)
If I take my fiance phone (same network, plan and APN setting) the page will load around twice as fast.
I'm using stock firmware latest update(available for me) v20h-214-07
Any ideas? (getting LTE is not an option as there isn't signal where I live)

I have the same issue. My phone is about 1 month old, previously I had a Blackberry Z30 Unlocked and connection was way better, even with 2 bars I could use Pandora all day at work and could connect to apps, and websites. Now on LG G3 even Google Play won't connect many times as it times out because connection is too slow. I think there is an issue with the way LG G3 connects to AT&T, I mean how can an unsupported device like Blackberry Z30 (bought it on Blackberry site as AT&T doesn't sell it) work very well and yet LG G3, sold by AT&T doesn't work well.
PS : I get 4G and some occasional LTE, but still speed is pretty slow and device consumes the battery pretty quickly.
I recently brought my LG G3 with me to Europe (while on Honeymoon) because I found out from T-Mobile that I could use text and data there at no extra cost. My phone works fine in the United States. But it doesn't find a carrier connection in London; Southampton; Vigo, Spain; Lisbon, Portugal; Cadiz, Spain; Gibraltar; and Barcelona.
I tried my phone in each location and it never connected to anything that wasn't WiFi. That really really sucked. I get that I have it rooted and I am using a different Lollipop ROM than stock. But I didn't think that would prevent it from connecting to towers there.
So what happened? What would be on a fully stock T-Mobile LG G3 that I wouldn't get on my rooted and ROMed version? I'm sure it something simple, but I would really like to know so that I can fix the problem before I go back.
did you turn on roaming?
mine worked great in Paris.
also, if you have really older version of rom

you may need to do this
Worked for me in Paris and Lisbon. I've had some issues when wifi calling is enabled, though. I think there are some very real modem issues but I eventually got it to work.
I'm making this thread as I have a very hard time trying to find a solution on my own, I've read from these forums a lot in the past but this is the first time I make an account and post something.
First the problem: I have bought an used LG G3 phone that was bought with my carrier (personal, is from Argentina), once I got home I only used it with wifi and then flashed fulmics 5 and updated it (since I've read a lot about the phone before buying and found that the stock rom is very bad with battery, plus I really liked the rom as far as I've seen about it) and then flashed it again because I didn't select the options I wanted the first time, in both cases I've wiped data and did just about everything indicated in different tutorials, I've used twrp for flashing. After all that I've asked for mobile configurations to my carrier and at the next day, I asked my old man (the line is at his name, because of employee discounts and all that) to activate LTE for my line (I've never had a phone with LTE and with my carrier that needs to be activated in the line) and after following indications such as rebooting the phone, I decided to test my mobile speeds with LTE and they were incredibly slow (under 0.05 Mbps both up and down) and today I checked again with full signal and had the same results (give or take a couple of bps), I also installed a new kernel called xceed and tried again with no change in results (I don't know if the kernel would affect this, but I mention it just in case), and since I had my parents around at the moment, I made them try (same plan, same carrier, diferent phones) and both got normal LTE speeds (20+Mbps down, up varied), the weird thing is that my speeds are about the same with 3G H+ while wifi works normally, mobile signals are normal, even getting full bar during some of the tests, I have double checked more than a few tiems and I have the apn correctly set and all that. I don't think it could be the SIM since I've been using it with fast 3g speeds in my moto G before without a problem, but I'm still going to request a new SIM to my carrier just in case.
Short version: I've got unde 0.05 MMbps up and down in LTE and HDSPA.
Specs and all that:
- LG G3 D855 16GB version
- Carrier: Personal (Argentina)
- Data plan: unlimited speed, 500MB at a time, refreshing costs part of my credit and I've checked, I haven't surpassed my data cap, I'm far from it.
- Software: Fulmics ROM 5.3 and xceed kernel running 6.0 Marshmallow
- Emotional state: mixed feelings, it sucks to not be able to use mobile internet and the poor battery life but at the same time this is my first high end phone and it feels awesome.
I hope someone can point me in the right direction as I'm lost like an old-timer in the dance floor.
Extra info: I'll try flashing the rom again, but I would like to try different solutions first, there are some things I don't like to set up over and over, plus I want to know what could be the reasons, the very few people I've found on the internet with the same problem (excluding people talking about carriers from the US) had a case of a bad SIM card.
UPDATE: well, this is awkward... it turns out it was my plan, I checked once again and my data had to be resetted, now it works, 6mbps down and 1.3mbps up, it's not as fast as it should be but it works now. Sorry for the useless post
Hi! I have recently bought LG G3 D855. It is used one. I started using straight.. no reset etc. It was blazing fast even on 2G network (speed about 600kbps) and 3G @ 6mbps. Then I reset the beast and it is slow now (2G @ 15-20kbps and 3G 100kbps). The question is ... was it tweaked for the speed ??? please help i want it back in that condition. Tried alot of things ... rooting... 3g/4g optimizer... and so on nothing works like as previous setting (which is unknown).
I have a note 4 from att running 6.0.1. Recently the Internet (mobile not WiFi) would start cutting out and completely losing service for no reason every 5 minutes or so. Very agitating if I'm trying to watch a video or do anything on the internet, really. Anyways, I am using Cricket Wireless, which is a subsidiary of ATT. I tried out an ATT sim card as well and the issue is still present. I factory reset my phone and it's still doing it. However, if I ender the developers code into the dialer and brought up mobile network information, I could set the phone to use GSM/CDMA only (no LTE) and the issue went away completely. But now, I have much slower speeds than if I were to be using LTE which kinda sucks. Does anyone know a way to fix this?
