I have the same issue. My phone is about 1 month old, previously I had a Blackberry Z30 Unlocked and connection was way better, even with 2 bars I could use Pandora all day at work and could connect to apps, and websites. Now on LG G3 even Google Play won't connect many times as it times out because connection is too slow. I think there is an issue with the way LG G3 connects to AT&T, I mean how can an unsupported device like Blackberry Z30 (bought it on Blackberry site as AT&T doesn't sell it) work very well and yet LG G3, sold by AT&T doesn't work well.
PS : I get 4G and some occasional LTE, but still speed is pretty slow and device consumes the battery pretty quickly.

I'm thinking to buy a international version of HTC Touch Pro 2 from NewEgg. I heard that HTC Touch Pro 2 doesn't AT&T 3G Data and only GPRs and EDGE available for AT&T on this phone. Since this phone is not returnable, i would like to see if anyone from here have the same experience with using HTC touch Pro 2 on AT&T 3G Network.
By the way, i see newegg sell 0 on this phone. Wondering if that's the reason why nobody is buying it?
I dont think it will get the AT&T 3G. I asked a few people and they said it wouldnt work.
Pretty much the short answer is no.
I've posted an explanation on another thread explaining why.

That is correct
You will not get 3G connection, and that could be good and bad.
I bought mine unlocked, unbrand and is currently using AT&T. I usually get E, and occasionally H. I heard from other people that 3G can drain your battery, and I use wi-fi which is almost as fast.
Yes wifi is as fast but if you are not in a wifi spot what are you going to do? 3G is way faster than Edge. Why buy a Eurpean one when in like a week you can get one from ATT and it works in North America on 3G. The whole point of this phone is to be able to use the 3g when needed.
As to the battery, it uses no more power than edge does. The 3g is triggered by you trying to download data. When you are done it turns itself off.
I've got the Touch Pro 2 from Verizon, and I haven't been able to get on the 3G at all; only EDGE. I briefly saw the E turn to a G; however, I haven't seen any indication what so ever that I've been able to connect with greater speeds.
Edit: Although it may be worth noting that I have the band set in my phone to be GSM(1900 + 850) + UMTS(1900 + 850).
I was recently on Tmobile and decided to switch back to NET10 for ATT's network. I was using an unlocked Lumia 520 when I first switched over so I used the micro-sim. I use an adapter obviously for my GNexus and my Rugby Smart. Well, when I switched it into my Gnexus, it would get signal, and then cut out. The phone still read as having a sim card in it, but no network anything. I tried it in all phones - same thing and eventually the phones wouldn't even connect to the network for a few seconds.
So, I activated the mini-sim in the kit (it has 3 - 2 att and 1 tmo). It works fine in both Samsung phones (I didn't cut it yet to put in the Lumia). The problem I seem to have now is the phones both lose connection to the google services at some point - the little blue color cuts out (and whatever it is on the Rugby). I still have data, the Gnexus shows the H and if I open the phone and use an app - it'll update or whatever. Sometimes I get connected to the google services right then, other times no. I reset the Gnexus a few days ago and the Rugby was about 2 weeks ago I reset it.
My battery dies like a mofo now though on either phone and I know that Tmobile always kicked down to UMTS to save battery and ATT mostly doesn't as evidenced by the H always - can this be the huge battery drainer? Could it be the NET10 mini-sim is also bad? I know the Gnexus and many samsung phones have 'eh' battery, but it wasn't like this on Tmo.
I'm on stock - no roms or anything. I get good, strong ATT signal (about 90dBm) at work and home. Anyway, thank you all.
I purchased an ATT LG g3 and I still think it's great despite having a download speed of .5 mbps and an upload speed if 1.1 mbps ...
I called tech support but they weren't very useful so I was hoping you guys would be.
Any help would be appreciated.

Does it say LTE? It could just be that att sucks were you are. For it it will say I have LTE but my speeds will be just as slow. Its a network issue not necessarily a phone issue.

It says 4g LTE in the status bar. I've had ATT service before on an HTC one X where I could fetch 8-12 mbps. The support lady was very nice and said something about maintenance and other calls but I was unsure if maybe it was an isolated issue or not.
LG G3 on AT&T slow data connections

Hi so just few days ago I bought lg g3 d855 as my old phone kick the bucket.
What I'm finding is that my internet is very slow compare to my old phone with the same SIM card and data plan. (i'm using 3g)
If I take my fiance phone (same network, plan and APN setting) the page will load around twice as fast.
I'm using stock firmware latest update(available for me) v20h-214-07
Any ideas? (getting LTE is not an option as there isn't signal where I live)
I recently brought my LG G3 with me to Europe (while on Honeymoon) because I found out from T-Mobile that I could use text and data there at no extra cost. My phone works fine in the United States. But it doesn't find a carrier connection in London; Southampton; Vigo, Spain; Lisbon, Portugal; Cadiz, Spain; Gibraltar; and Barcelona.
I tried my phone in each location and it never connected to anything that wasn't WiFi. That really really sucked. I get that I have it rooted and I am using a different Lollipop ROM than stock. But I didn't think that would prevent it from connecting to towers there.
So what happened? What would be on a fully stock T-Mobile LG G3 that I wouldn't get on my rooted and ROMed version? I'm sure it something simple, but I would really like to know so that I can fix the problem before I go back.
did you turn on roaming?
mine worked great in Paris.
also, if you have really older version of rom

you may need to do this
Worked for me in Paris and Lisbon. I've had some issues when wifi calling is enabled, though. I think there are some very real modem issues but I eventually got it to work.
