[Q] rooted international note 4 language problems - AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note 4

I bought this unlocked international note 4 with a plan to root it....
However it has already been rooted....
I have ATT for service. The person I got it from had T-Mobile.
When I put my sim in and start it up I can make calls and send text as well as even get online
The problems are as follows:
1. It does not stay connected to the ATT network, I have to repeatedly hit send over and over till it finally makes the call... The same goes for text and the internet...
2. When I made the attempt to re-root the whole thing (mind you I am new to all this rooting...this would only be my second time doing so) I found after downloading all the software needed to do so.... I began to follow the steps provided here on XDA, when I tried to boot with the volume, center, and power key the menu is in Chinese sooooooo
........ So now I'm at a complete loss... I do not know what to do
Please tell me that one of you geniuses out there can help me solve this dilemma.....
I was hoping that just re-rooting this phone would solve my problems........
Thank you guys

SGS Unlock code issues

Afternoon all, first time post-er, long time reader.
I'm tired of waiting for the official update from Orange for 2.2 so I have taken it upon myself to root my phone and unlock it, with the vain hope that this will allow my Kies to provide me with the update.
I have successfully rooted my phone as I have a little ninja man in my apps, and I have downloaded the SGS Unlock App from DaGentooBoy, but it tells me my unlock code is 00000000. This isn't correct as I have tried it, twice, with a 3 sim card and I only have 1 attempt left. Anyone have any ideas what has gone wrong? I am new to this, and although I'm not afraid to try most things, I would rather have a straight forward response or link provided so that I am filled with confidence
I have seen some posts about an Odin method, but I have no idea what that is
Any ideas??? Please??
If your talking about unlocking and going to a diff. Company I would call t mobile and tell then I bought the phone for someone else and need to unlock the phone as they are with a diff company maybe they won't charge if its a gift for someone else I mean you already bought the phone so they got your money
Unlocking so you can use other provider's sim cards and flashing a different rom are two different things. If your Orange branded phone isn't allowing you to update you can do this kies registry hack
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=835628
If you're looking at unlocking as well you can check out this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=761045, or whatever other methods you can find to unlock. I read a thread on here about the unlock codes for the galaxy series actually being stored in the system directory somewhere but I can't find the thread. I'll update this post if I can find it again.
Edit - Found it http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=867331 apparently it wasn't specific to the Galaxy series, just samsung in general. Hope it works for you.
Thanks for the help people. It hasn't worked for me, but thats because I've no idea what I am doing!! Guess I'll just wait for Orange to send the official update.........

[Q] U.S. Cell TP2 Won't Security Unlock - Step 1 completed

My U.S. Cell TP2 won't security unlock when I run the unlocker I purchased. I put a ticket but it's been over 12 hours or so. I've tried to do just about everything I can think of and have been flashing back and forth between ROM's about 15 times now. I understand I must be patient but can someone please help me so I can use my phone I did pay and I will be happy to do the remote unlock too if I can get someone to just tell me what the problem is. I'm a little skeptical because I thought this was supposed to be guaranteed to work. I did manage to change the Radio by flashing to a Sprint ROM and then reflashing the ROM back but that was it, still won't let me use and keeps reverting back to U.S. Cell. I am a noob but I am not that much of a noob. I think I pretty well understand what I am doing here and how things works and have spent a lot of time reading. thnx if u can help me. It is greatly appreciated. The error it keeps giving me is: "Device in flight mode or IMEI must be purchased" (Device is not in flight mode)
I was able to get it registered to a brand new T-mobile sim card I purchased. That doesn't explain why another currently active sim card I was using from a friend didn't work though. I never was able to use/install the unlocker. I would like to know if you can run the unlocker multiple times or would it give you an error message? Has anyone tried this?
I'm still experimenting. So this is of course subject to change depending on how confused I find out I am

[Q] I need help unlocking my Spring Galaxy S4 mini SPH-L520

So, I'm a total beginner with regards to understanding how to mod your cell phone, but I am tech savvy. I've spent the last week of my life attempting to understand how to Sim unlock my Sprint Samsung Galaxy S4 mini Sph-L520 so that I would be able to use a prepaid Straight Talk wireless card with it. At first, I thought the process was going to be rather simple. I thought I could just buy a code online. Turns out that this phone isn't a GSM phone, so this type of unlocking isn't possible. I next heard as tip about getting my phone flashed, but apparently flashing is just installing another operating system on your phone. Though I could see how that might be able get around the Sim Unlock, if possible I would like to keep this stock OS. Also, I'm not certain if flashing my phone would automatically enable me to use another carrier. I then learned what rooting was. Though I now understand that I could simply use Kingo to root my phone, I don't know how that would allow me to use another carrier. So i've spent my last week or so understanding all this new terminology, but I still don't have a definitive answer. I really want to thank this board for existing because I've learned a tremendous amount just reading these threads. So if anyone could help me out here that would be great!

I did contact sprint, they said that the phone wasn't stolen and that everything was okay. They then transferred me, but told me that they could only give me the msl code. Is that what I need? Would that carrier unlock my phone?

They told me that since my phone wasn't in the system, they couldn't give me the unlock code.

Does the phone have a slot for a SIM card? If so you could try following this thread step by step. Not saying its going to work but its worth a shot. Its also going to depend on what version software your on. You could always pay $30.00 and get a code from CellUnlocker.

I'll attempt it, but the method described is for a regular Galaxy S4. My phone is an S4 mini, would there be any difference?
I attempted this method, and it didn't work. The phone would not let me flash that rom with odin. It failed every time.

All you have to flash is the modem but that will probably fail also since its not for the mini. You have to find a way to get into the service menu for the mini and then it would more than likely work.

Do you think it would work if we flashed a custom room almost like they did with the s4?

Sprint L520 S4 mini is completely unlocked for use of any CDMA 1x/evdo/4G LTE services in the world. Carriers like Smartfren, Intertelekom, Reliance, Tata and MTS will work flawlessly on this phone. Only read its SPC code, make it RUIM only from DFS and insert any CDMA carrier's SIM

galaxy s4 mini sph-L520
hello
How to convert galaxy s4 mini sph-L520 in gsm for France?
kind regards
International/domestic sim unlock
The GSM portion of the s4 mini can be unlocked .I'm more than sure of it because I have a friend who has his own method .Look up randy unlocks on ebay.He can do it remotely and will call you on the phone and it only takes thirty minutes. I've unlocked plenty of regular Sprint s4's myself ,that process is very easy. The s4 mini would be too if you could find the modems anywhere. He has never told me how he does it but get ahold of him.
Can anyone help me ? Can you back up your radio.img from your unlock phone and send to me ?

[Q] Reusing a sprint tab 3 on straight talk, freedompop or other prepaid?

Thanks for having me as a member. I am a noob and do not understand much of what I have read the past few days. I felt this forum was the best place to post. If you can help me, thanks. If your local to Richmond, VA, even better. :good: If you run a business that can help me, feel free to send me your info. :fingers-crossed:
I had an ipod touch 1 that died and I purchased a samsung galaxy tab 3 model sm-t217s from a co worker who loves all things wireless and sprint powered. I discovered 2 card slots and saw one was a sim card. I promptly returned it to my coworker who said they didnt use the tablet anymore and had another phone. I advised them to call Sprint and see if it needs to be returned and if they needed to do anything that a reset of the tablet sold to me.
The tablet works ok, did a lot of updating and wants a sim card.I enabled developer mode or menu in settings and can get a lot of extra data like imei, hex, meid, mac id, etc, etc, etc.
Question:
Ok, If possible can in theory this tablet work on straight talk, wallet pop or some pay as you go data service ? Yes or No? and which one, which one do I need to buy?
What does flash mean?
What does unlock mean?
Do I need a sim card before attempting to unlock?
Do I need to root it?
Reading the forums in searching other than enable developer I tried to "upgrade" the OS on the tablet. I downloaded oden 3.09 and "installed" twrp2.7 and or cwm try 15. I got a boot menu when I hold down the volume and power button. I then tried 2 files I had uploaded to the sdcard Supersu 2.01 and the 2 abovementioned.
When I select install from sdcard It looks like it wants to install it, but I get some red text that says something to the effect signature invalid, verification failed, etc. I do not have it word for word. I found another thread here about that and the solution was to use cf root. What is cf root and do I need to do anything with it?
Thanks for your help. I feel like an idiot as I cant figure this out of get this to work as I had purchased a used samsung note 10 2012 model and successfully installed 4.4.2, but reverted to the stock os as the samsung crap made the stylus more useful.
PS, Im not a robot.
You can't bring it to Straight Talk, but I'd recommend bringing it to FreedomPop. You need to get a SIM card, but you can buy that off of Ting.
SIM unlocking won't really do any good. I did that on mine and it did nothing for me lol.
You won't be able to flash much, since there aren't many ROMs out for it. I personally used stock until I recently flashed Negalite.

Why did i do it please help

ok so i am a typical bloke. i ignored all the warnings however i did read the instructions which makes a change.
Bought a new note 4 and decided to ROOT it as it was the buzz word going round. Rooting all worked fine no problem there however i forgot to check the phone actually worked before i rooted it. Once i finally put in te new sim i discovered that when i make a call i cannot hear the caller. They can hear me fine and if i put the phone on to speaker or bluetooth headset it works no problem.
So i now need to send the phone back but first i must unroot it. I have tried numerous links etc however every firmware file i have downloaded has either stopped at .1GB left of a 1.8GB file or been a scam / virus.
Tech spec of the Phone
SM-N910F Android Version 5.0.1 Baseband Version N910FXXU1BOC4 build number N910FXXU1BOC5
Please help i need to restore and send back for an exchange
cheers
Mr Stupid
Edit:
Nevermind. You are not on the SM-910A which is the regular AT&T Note 4.
Why don't you post your question in the international Note 4 section?
I was going to say,
"Just reboot your phone. Root is temporary and resets after reboot."
But as already pointed out above, you don't have an ATT phone, so you should ask this question in the regular Note 4 forum. (They have permanent root)
