So I just installed the free watchmaker app to try out... some of the stock watch face just has the spinning orange/red icon on the screen and a few loads fine....
anyone know whats wrong with the app?
I think the more complex the watchface, (ie large graphics and such) take a long time to load and sometime get hung when transferring to the watch. If you keep trying it eventually works.

I have been using a custom watch face that I really like for some time. The developer has a beta community on G+, which I have been a member of. I get notifications of updates for the watch face in Play Store, which i download and install. However, the watch face on my watch does not show the changes that it does for everyone else. For example, last week an update came out to change the font that is used on the watch face, and address some issues with orientation of the date. For me, there was no change, but for everyone else there was.
I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the watch face multiple times, but this doesnt fix it. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling Wear and Connect apps, as well as watch face, and still I do not get the updated changes. I have even reset my watch completely and still the watch face doesnt reflect the changes that were made. If i go under Apps and look at the version number for the watch face (ie 1.2.4) it matches what it should be. I have also tried leaving and rejoining the beta group.
Has anyone else experienced this? Are there any temp file, directories, or anything else that still linger on the phone/watch that may need to be removed? I just can't figure out why my watch face still looks the same as it did 2+ versions ago, while everyone else is posting pictures showing the updates in effect.
other things that might be somehow related to me having this issue: I previously owned a G Watch and had it paired up with this phone, using this watch face. And I also am somewhat regularly installing new nightly roms and performing backups with TiBU (although I have tried removing all backups related to wear and this watchface)
I just got my phone in the mail today I open it up and charged it and first thing i download was watchmaker because I had downloaded some face files while i waited for my watch to come in..well I downloaded watchmaker, pulled up the file and I can see it on the preview but when I try to set face and made me buy the premium version for $0.99. No big deal I bought it and now when I try to set of face all I see is spinning orange circle can anybody help me...at first I thought it was just a loading circle but after 10 minutes I realized it's not loading at all
Can anybody help explain why a watch face will show in preview but when it tranfers all i get is the orange circle?

I've had that problem a few times. Each time, I was able to fix it by either selecting a stock face, then switching back to the Watchmaker face & transferring the face again or by restarting the watch and sending the face again.

thank you so much! That appears to work for the most part!!!!
I've noticed it happens more so on more complex watch face designs.
I have had to reset my Moto 360 and repair it with my Samsung Galaxy S6. When I go into the Android Wear app, I am noticing several of my watch faces are missing. Some of them do eventually reappear. I know the watch faces are still on my phone because when I try to reinstall them, they show already installed. Is there a way to get the Android Wear application to refresh the watch faces that are on the phone? This seems like a stupid bug since it seems the watch needs to be reset every so often and I always seem to have this problem. I can't believe I have to remove and reinstall all the faces especially since I do not remember all the ones I bought without going through a long history of my app purchases.
I've had this happen a few times and this time I was digging around in the settings of the Android Wear app.
Tap the cog in the top right corner>Select your watch name>Tap Resync Apps.
See if that works for you. My watch synced everything except the faces and that fixed it for me.
Not working for me with Quick pic. Nexus 6.
Same message as photos stopped.
Give it time after a reset or new/replacement watch. If it's on your phone it will eventually appear on the watch. Last time I reset it, it took approximately 2 hours to get back to normal.
Okay, so I just got the watch and have synced it up with my phone just fine. Now the watch screen says "Downloading" and it is taking FOREVER. No, I'm not some impatient person who can't wait a few minutes for his phone and watch to play nice together. It has been on the same screen for at least a half hour and the little circle that shows the progress isn't even close to 25% complete. What is it downloading? I turned off "download to android wear" in Google music.
Anyone else have this issue? Am I going to be without my phone for the rest of the night while this downloads? Any/all help will be greatly appreciated.
It's downloading programs that have counterparts in Wear. And make sure your sync in the Wear app and not the Bluetooth settings. Hard reset and try again if you need to.
Have been trying forever to get the Facer and Watchmaker apps working with my Smartwatch 3 watch. My Android Wear app is connected to the watch and works fine but I cannot get the other 2 apps to work. Have repaired the watch several times with my Note 5 with no luck. It will show its sending the watch face to the watch but it never makes it there. WatchMaker will eventually come up and say it can't connect to the watch even when Android Wear says it is connected. Try to do the Remote install option and it just says to look at the watch but nothing happens. I know we don't have Android Wear 2.0 so I can see why that option isn't working. I've tried everything I can think of to make these apps work. Is there something I'm missing?
I have found Facer to be inconsistent with pushing watchfaces over to either of the phones I've paired it with (S7 Edge and S5). Firstly I would sync apps in the android wear app. One sure way I have found to make sure Facer detects the watch and vice versa is to tap and hold the watch screen and make sure the Facer option is present and then push the Facer face through on the phone while you are on the face choosing menu. I know this answer is a bit airy fairy, but it works with me and I am unsure why, being merely a user with little idea about how Facer is progrmamed. Perhaps it opens the Facer app on the watch when you choose faces?
