I have been using a custom watch face that I really like for some time. The developer has a beta community on G+, which I have been a member of. I get notifications of updates for the watch face in Play Store, which i download and install. However, the watch face on my watch does not show the changes that it does for everyone else. For example, last week an update came out to change the font that is used on the watch face, and address some issues with orientation of the date. For me, there was no change, but for everyone else there was.
I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the watch face multiple times, but this doesnt fix it. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling Wear and Connect apps, as well as watch face, and still I do not get the updated changes. I have even reset my watch completely and still the watch face doesnt reflect the changes that were made. If i go under Apps and look at the version number for the watch face (ie 1.2.4) it matches what it should be. I have also tried leaving and rejoining the beta group.
Has anyone else experienced this? Are there any temp file, directories, or anything else that still linger on the phone/watch that may need to be removed? I just can't figure out why my watch face still looks the same as it did 2+ versions ago, while everyone else is posting pictures showing the updates in effect.
other things that might be somehow related to me having this issue: I previously owned a G Watch and had it paired up with this phone, using this watch face. And I also am somewhat regularly installing new nightly roms and performing backups with TiBU (although I have tried removing all backups related to wear and this watchface)

I have had to reset my Moto 360 and repair it with my Samsung Galaxy S6. When I go into the Android Wear app, I am noticing several of my watch faces are missing. Some of them do eventually reappear. I know the watch faces are still on my phone because when I try to reinstall them, they show already installed. Is there a way to get the Android Wear application to refresh the watch faces that are on the phone? This seems like a stupid bug since it seems the watch needs to be reset every so often and I always seem to have this problem. I can't believe I have to remove and reinstall all the faces especially since I do not remember all the ones I bought without going through a long history of my app purchases.
I've had this happen a few times and this time I was digging around in the settings of the Android Wear app.
Tap the cog in the top right corner>Select your watch name>Tap Resync Apps.
See if that works for you. My watch synced everything except the faces and that fixed it for me.
Not working for me with Quick pic. Nexus 6.
Same message as photos stopped.
Give it time after a reset or new/replacement watch. If it's on your phone it will eventually appear on the watch. Last time I reset it, it took approximately 2 hours to get back to normal.
I just received my Moto 360 and went through the pairing process (after letting it charge to 100% to complete the update) and everything went wrong. I went through this process several times and everything seemed okay, then I noticed the time was 9 hours out! nothing would fix it. Furthermore, the watch would not sync my apps properly, apart from hangouts and google music which, upon attempting to open would tell me that my "google wear app needs updating on my phone."
I can't make this thing work. I regret buying it. My nexus 5 is on android 6.0 and my google wear app is completely up to date. I am now updating my phone to 6.1 to see if that addresses the issue, but nothing i do seems to fix anything. This is seriously getting on my nerves! Anyone have any suggestions?
Many thanks
I'm sure you tried everything, since I change ROMs regularly I have found it a slow sync process., every time was different. Is it a refurbished or new also do. You have a option to exchange it. Also once the watch starts updating you kind of have to let it sit awhile to fully set up, and reboot the phone also so the the play store updates, the check for updates on the watch. Make sure you uninstall ware and reinstall if you start over. It still to me a first gen product software. Once you get it going it awesome. Good luck.

Here's an odd one. Maybe my search terms are iffy, but I can't find anyone else with this issue.
When I uninstall the app on my phone for a watch face, Android will often (almost always) crash when that app/face gets uninstalled from the watch.
I say "Android" because the watch itself doesn't crash and reboot, but Android restarts (ie back to the boot-animation but not back to the bootloader).
I'll try and reproduce this with adb connected and see if I can glean some logs... that'll likely clear it up for me, but I'll post my findings here in case someone else has the same problem.
I've noticed similar behaviour also, but only if im currently using that watch face and then uninstall it from the phone. If i switch to another one beforehand, nothing happens.
It also seems to happen with other apps, though I can't see a similar pattern there, it happens whether or not I'm using it, and often not at all.
Have been trying forever to get the Facer and Watchmaker apps working with my Smartwatch 3 watch. My Android Wear app is connected to the watch and works fine but I cannot get the other 2 apps to work. Have repaired the watch several times with my Note 5 with no luck. It will show its sending the watch face to the watch but it never makes it there. WatchMaker will eventually come up and say it can't connect to the watch even when Android Wear says it is connected. Try to do the Remote install option and it just says to look at the watch but nothing happens. I know we don't have Android Wear 2.0 so I can see why that option isn't working. I've tried everything I can think of to make these apps work. Is there something I'm missing?
I have found Facer to be inconsistent with pushing watchfaces over to either of the phones I've paired it with (S7 Edge and S5). Firstly I would sync apps in the android wear app. One sure way I have found to make sure Facer detects the watch and vice versa is to tap and hold the watch screen and make sure the Facer option is present and then push the Facer face through on the phone while you are on the face choosing menu. I know this answer is a bit airy fairy, but it works with me and I am unsure why, being merely a user with little idea about how Facer is progrmamed. Perhaps it opens the Facer app on the watch when you choose faces?
Hi all,
I've just bought a new phone and pairing my Smartwatch 3 with it is causing multiple issues, firstly it wouldn't sync all my apps, having to push them over manually via ADB after having updated Google Play Services, but the other issue is, I used to know the way to move the status icons (e.g. charging, no cloud etc.) to different positions on my watch screen. Currently it's at the top in the middle, but I want it on the top left as that's where I used to have it with my old phone. I've looked through all the settings in the Wear OS app and my watch face app (I'm using a modified watch face via Facer). Does anyone know how I amend this? It's been bugging me for the past day or so and I can't figure out how I did it with my previous phone.
Many thanks,
I didnt had problems moving the icons in facer, did you find a way to fix it ?
No, I haven't yet. Can you tell me where you found the option as I'm struggling. Would greatly appreciate the help.
