I am running into a Swype issue with my two new Note 4's. Both of them are doing the same thing... The problem is when Swype is set as the text input method, and ONLY in the Samsung browser. When you enter text it is only entering every other word, essentially what it's doing is you swype the first word which shows up fine, then when you swype the next word all you get is a space, and swyping the next word results in that word, so in order to text what you want you have to swype every word twice. Is anyone else encountering this problem? Any ideas on fixes? I talked to Samsung chat support and their only suggestion is a factory reset but I just cant see both phones having the same problem and a factory reset fixing it.
I this problem occasionally as well. Also, the first word entered via swype is usually way off and much shorter than the word I intended.

I swyped "I have this problem as well" and it left out "have". Just now typing this it left out "as". Typing that it left out "is"?

Hi Guys, I've been struggling with this for some time. When I send texts I often use the word "it's". When I type "its" the predictive text gives me "its", "It's" and "it'd", all valid words but if I'm not starting a sentence I have to type "it's" manually. I've added "it's" to the personal dictionary and when I look at it, it's there; it's just that Handsent can't seem to see it (if that's even the problem).
I've had a look around the threads for a similar problem (in as much as I can make head or tail of the search function) but there doesn't seem to be anything there.
Any help much appreciated.
Beats me
Hi again All. Have done nothing extra except started AK Notepad & tried it there. It worked. Thereafter it seems to work in Handsent too.
I think the phone might be possessed
I'm looking for an app to automatically and securely wipe previusly deleted data from my phone. Preferably when its idle and sitting in the background.
When I get rid of my phone, I don't want anyone to be able to recover my sensitive data such as my emails, and my text messages. It could be a little embarassing.
I've tried SHREDroid for the Sprint Galaxy Nexus but it crashes everytime I start it. Does anyone know of other available options?
The difficulty for someone to recover your old files (if even possible) is not worth the time.. You really shouldn't worry because your emails are gone when you remove your account, and if you delete a text it is gone. I think the only thing you have to worry about is your Google login data, and even that is more trouble than it's worth to recover (unless someone really hates you) and even then 99% of potential buyers probably don't even know it is possible (or care).
I'm not sure this is entirely true. Here's my example: I have a Verizon HTC Thunderbolt that I have been using since Dec '11. I wanted to make a back up of my text messages, so that I could restore them to me new phone.
I downloaded an SMS backup from the Play market, entered my gmail credentials to store my SMS and when I checked the next morning, I had over +8000 backed up SMS messages. I was curious, and looked through to see what was somehow restored. I have routinely kept my text inbox tidy because it feels slower when one thread has over 2000 messages.
This is what prompted me to search for an answer.

What app? I will give it a go as well, but I do not believe the phone keeps the deleted texts. Could be wrong though.
"Long is the way, and hard, that out of hell leads up to light."
The app I'm talking about is SMS Backup+ by Jan Berkel https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.zegoggles.smssync
I'd really like to know as well....Ive been researching the last couple of hours....

SHREDroid worked on my Droid 3!
I am running the latest build for this phone 6.01_0013. last night I turned my phone off. this morning when I turned my phone on i noticed about 15 new apps were magically installed. these are not apps I have ever used in the past nor do i ever recall ever using them yet they were installed on my phone
the apps I clearly remember were
Uber
Napster
Draft Kings
iweather
kid zone
family tracker
I went through and uninstalled them all but im curious why these installed themselves. has this happened to anybody else?
One way this could happen is if someone were logged into your Google account and installed these apps from a desktop browser at play.google.com. Maybe time to change your password?
Sent from my SM-N930T using Tapatalk
Sound like Sprint? Remember seeing most if not all on the Note7 when I had it.
change your google account password ASAP

and enable 2 step verification.
i did change my pass word just now. i just checked my google activity and didnt see anything out of the normal from last night till today. i guess i will see if it occurs again
The apps listed look like typical carrier bloat to me rather something that was a result of a hacked password. It was good advice to change your password but I'm wondering if you got an update pushed and the apps were part of the payload.

I had this happen once (on a rooted ROM) and fixed it by going into the samsung keyboard settings and manually downloading the english keyboard. I can't remember if I had to delete the current language first, but it fixed it for me.
Hello. Just picked up my Note 10 Plus.
I have noticed in my text messages that some words are underlined, like times, or the word tomorrow. When I click on it, it gives a shortcut to set an alarm. How can I remove this feature? I'd rather not see underlined words in my messages.
Thanks!
Been trying to figure this one out for days now. Sadly no dice thus far.
I didn't have this issue on my S9 Plus. Hoping someone finds a solution soon.
Would it have anything to do with SwiftKey app I'm using? But I used that on the S9 Plus without the issue.
im using swiftkey and dont see this. i use samsung kb and dont see this. did you install from an old backup? maybe you synced over something...
Nothing to do with back ups or keyboards.
It's tied to the calendar so if I say "hey let's hang out tomorrow", then tomorrow becomes a link that takes you to the calendar to possibly put in a reminder or appointment.
Solution?
Please tell me someone found a solution for this issue with words being underlined.
I am having the same problem and cannot figure it out
