[Q] After 4.4.4 update can games play from microSD? - Galaxy Tab 3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 and I am thinking to upgrade it to 4.4.4.
Will I be able to play the games from the card? Or should I move them to internal storage before the update?
Also, will I be able to store data on the card after the update or it depends on the game?

[Q] Game data stored at internal or external card?

How do Note 2 with Jelly Bean handling big game data files after installed on the phone? Since its only 10Gb space left of 16GB and games these days can be 2-5GB big and how suppose to install few of these? Since Google have removed app2sd support on JB and might not support it on later android versions.
Anyone tried to install game with 2-5GB and does all install on inetrnal nand memory or game data auto install store at external card?
Still considering on if gonna wait for 32GB/64GB version instead and really wanna to know how Note 2 handle big game file size installs?
As far as I know, If you install the game's .apk into the external storage, all the data files associated with it would be downloaded to your external storage.

Hmm..didnt Google removed with Jelly Bean, choice to install game/app on external card? How suppose to install game on external card then and as I know can only do that with root?
Or depends on game/app developer make game install directly on external card?

You should ask this in Q&A thread. This is general thread. Still try update to official LG firmware and see if adding data files to the card still causes crashes.. I know you can't use app data but you will at least know if the crashing has stopped. :0)
Try FolderMount.

[Q] running out of space, need help?

Hi guys, I just got the new tab s from tmobile and its definitely more beautiful than the one from At&t. The problem is with only 10gb of data usable,i'm running out of storage space for game and navigation app. I know that root isnt available for T807 tablet so i want to know if anyone know any other way to make app install directly to SD card?I went to the storage menu and move app to SD card, but it only moved a small fraction of the app( for example,it moved 68mb of 0.96gb app to SD card). Any suggestion?

Storage issue on rooted Tab S t700 4.4.2 kit kat

So I got a Samsung tab s 8.4 to replace my iconia. I use it to run table top games and apps that require 4.4.2 kitkat so I downgraded it and rooted to install link2sd to move the game apps to the 64gb sd. The thing is that it still runs out of storage on games I install. Even if I link all the files and move the obb to the SD it still reflects on the internal storage. I deleted the bloatware but with my games I'm still using up around 6gb about of the 11 available on internal. when I look at the app info on link2sd it shows that 98% of the apps I installed are on the SD but when I go into android settings it tells me I have half the space avaible due to the apps installed. Any help or tips would be welcome
