You should ask this in Q&A thread. This is general thread. Still try update to official LG firmware and see if adding data files to the card still causes crashes.. I know you can't use app data but you will at least know if the crashing has stopped. :0)

Try FolderMount.

Apps no longer download data to sd card.

Hello,
I recentply purchased a Galaxy Note 2, it's the GT-N7100 model. I got a 32GB SD card for it, and ever since I inserted that memory card for the frist time, it would always download game data in the card, not in the phone memory. Examples: Modern Combat 3, N.O.V.A. 3, NFS Most Wanted. I had about 10 gigs of "data" and "obb" folders in my memory card. This was all fine, as it kept the phone memory almoust empty.
However, since this morning, when I lauched any of those games they would ask me to download data again, and this time it all goes to the phone memory! I tried formatting the SD Card, Rebooted the phone, deleted app data for those games, reinstalled them, but this didn't fix it. I did a factory setting reset (completely wiping the phone) - still no luck. What might have happened to my phone?
For me I was never able to dl game data to sdcard some day one using gn2..

I was never able to download any app data to sd card since day one. I've been manually transferring downloads (sadly) ) to my sd card. And I ended up only transferring media files and left app files alone

This is so strange, never heard of someone reporting games data dowloading directly onto an external memory. Did you initially install a mod to make your phone see the SD card as an internal memory?
Sent from the Rabbit Hole
Never heard of such a thing. Data is always saved inside the internal SD, not to the external SD, not unless you rooted and performed the apps2sd mod.
I do not remember what I did... I was playing around with apps that were supposed to transfer apps to the sd card, but with no success. Then it just started doing it on it's own. I am rooted and using stock ROM, if this matters. If I had installed a mod, I must have done so without even knowing about it (lol). It's just really weird, as all over the internet people say that you can't do this, and I have seen my phone doing it.
Anyway, since I can't figure out how to make that work, can you suggest a good app for transferring games to the SD card. I tries GL 2 SD, which works(!) but I can only play the games if I start them from within this app. And since I am kind of OCD, this doesn't work for me, I need to be able to start them from the normal icon on the home screen.
Thank you all for replying.
Not planning on a root yet.
Will the next Android OS update be able to support app transfer to SD card?

[Q] LG G3 slow after SD card

Hello-
I received a Samsung 16gb SD for my LG G3 from my partner this weekend. Since installing it and adding stuff to it every time I click the home screen all my widgets and apps have disappeared and it takes about 5 seconds for them all to return. I have added some apps to the SD card and used smart clean by LG to clean up the internal card. I tried unmounting and soft resetting the phone as someone mentioned a fix when browsing the net but still no help.
Does anyone else have this problem?
It is an official SD card by the way as it came with her Galaxy S4. I have the 16GB/ 2g ram version

I would backup all the data and format the SD inside your phone. After that restore data to the SD. Have also done this when going from an SGS4 to the G3. While the card did work, after formatting everything was much faster

Ok cool. I did format the card when I plugged it in the first time so will copy everything over to my Pc, Format the card using the phone and then copy everything back over. Will update with results later.

So did everything as requested and still the phone is slow. However I did notice that when the card was wiped the phone still stuttered. Could it be that the SD card is too slow to read from?
Had to delete apps. Nothing was connected!
i have a 64GB Samsung SDXC ard and yes it slows the whole phone down i think its got something to do with Samsung not playing well with LG soon as a replaced mine with a Team branded sdxc card it worked again shame the Samsung one was meany to be a fast card

Is it class 10? well this maybe off topic but I'm using 64gb class 10 from Transcend no issues too or whatsoever. It's also fast when the phone reads it. So i might be thinking that depending on what class your SD card might be since read/transfer rate depends on it. Hope this helps.

Does the xposed framework work on Lollipop?

No. Xposed only works with the Dalvik runtime. Since LP is on ART, it won't work and it's not know when it will be updated to work with ART. Don't ask the dev as he's already been asked thousands of times and he said "it will get done when it gets done".
One other thing to be aware of, if the game writes a lot to the SD card, it will reduce the lifespan of the SD card. I've had SD cards go bad (and they are good SD cards from Sandisk) after about a year. This was due to me using TWRP to backup nandroids a lot, TiBu backing up nightly, etc. Eventually, reading from the SD card will be slower and then finally, files will start to get corrupted and eventually lost. So, be careful wanting to use the SD card as your main internal memory.

Xposed and OBB On SD game data seen twice after updating a game

Hello,
I have LG G4 (H815) and I have installed Xposed. Via Xposed I installed OBB On SD.
Great app, just copy game data from internal memory to SD card and play the game.
Only problem I have is that when I update the game I see both old and new OBB on my memory card. For example one game that normally takes about 2GB, after update it took 4GB! Is there a fix for that? OBBs take quite much space if every game data is doubled after update.
Best regards
Christian S. and LG G4 (H815)

SD card write permissions?

Hi. Im using xperia S and i wanted to download Hearthstone from the market. I succeed to download it but when i open the game it needs to download more files but i dont have free space on the phone. the error was saying that i need to clear something for free space or check sd card write permissions. I then tried to move the game to sd card which i did but the error is still there. Isnt it supposed to download the extra files in the sd card where i have the game there as well? What can i do to fix this please? The phone is like 1GB but SD 32GB. my phone is xperia S and rooted but 4.1.2.
Hi Kibs2173
So I see you have an SD card issue well that's a problem for everyone you see the SD cards won't last for ever so its literally useless.
I suggest that try to use SdFormatter.
Or just throw it out and buy a new one on eBay.

Update: i found whats the problem. When the extra files are getting downloaded they go to "Data on mobile". How can i make them download to "Data on internal storage" ?
