How do Note 2 with Jelly Bean handling big game data files after installed on the phone? Since its only 10Gb space left of 16GB and games these days can be 2-5GB big and how suppose to install few of these? Since Google have removed app2sd support on JB and might not support it on later android versions.
Anyone tried to install game with 2-5GB and does all install on inetrnal nand memory or game data auto install store at external card?
Still considering on if gonna wait for 32GB/64GB version instead and really wanna to know how Note 2 handle big game file size installs?
As far as I know, If you install the game's .apk into the external storage, all the data files associated with it would be downloaded to your external storage.

Hmm..didnt Google removed with Jelly Bean, choice to install game/app on external card? How suppose to install game on external card then and as I know can only do that with root?
Or depends on game/app developer make game install directly on external card?
I'm trying to install a 3.5mb app from Play Store and it keeps giving me "Not enough space" error. I have at least 500mb free space and I even tried wiping cache partition but to no avail. What else can I do?
It started happening after using the android-lag-fixing app Seeder, although I'm not sure if it is directly connected because I uninstalled the app and the problem persists.
Had same problem recently, used rom toolkit to move a heap of apps to sd card using the app manager in toolkit, this freed up a lot of system space and also gave me more operational ram, after a reboot i could download apps again, hope this helps

It may be trying to install to the wrong spot?

How did you move them to sd? My phone doesn't allow it. App2sd says I don't have sd card nor sd partition, and in rom toolbox it only allows me to backup apps.
Freeing up the cache helped though.
clear play stores data.. if that doesn't work then clear it again along with google services framework
In Rom Toolbox lite and pro version in the app manager if you star/check an app in downloaded list there is a pop up sliding options bar with choices such as uninstall, freeze, move to sd card, use finger to scroll it left or right to choose apps2sd, you can star multiple apps and move to sd storage in bulk which in gnex is internal sd storage, it will apparently move any user apps, if you only got 500mb left in internal sd storage you will probably start getting pop up low memory warnings if you move too many apps to sd. Internal sd is 13.* gb @K786 fix lookd easier and quicker anyway

Can someone please help me? My ion doesn't have enough phone memory to download anymore apps, but the internal storage has a few gigs open. I moved as many apps as I could to the internal storage, but I still can't even download 1 app. Is there any way to have apps automatically download to the internal storage? Thanks.
Once phone's memory is full, internal memory could not be used for installing any more apps no matter how much free space it has.
If i'm not wrong, Xperia ion as around 1.8 GB free for installing apps. and you have moved all apps to internal memory,
How many apps have you installed on your phone ? Are you trying to copy down whole Google play store in your phone ?

I moved all that I could to the internal storage but I still can't download any apps. It's says I've used up around 0.92gigs of the phone memory, all on apps then I have 4 gigs of apps in my internal storage and 4 gigs of free space. Every time I try and download something from the play store it just says insufficient memory.
Btw, how'd you jellybean your ion?

What do you mean you moved everything to internal? Are you using all of your apps? You could try to uninstall some apps and see if downloading new ones work. You can also move applications to SD Card. That will also free up space. I would just uninstall some things I'm not using.
He's able to install JB because he has either the h or i version of the phone, with an unlocked bootloader. Unlocking the bootloader allows for more customization.

I'm not on Gummy, but have you gone into settings> apps select the app, and seeing if you can move the app into sd there? If not, try https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.buak.Link2SD

This is a common problem from kitkat to latest lollipop. And you can blame google for that, even when nobody knows why they enforce that policy so ridicuosly.
What comes to swapping, its not possible. If youre rooted you probably have tried link2sd or similar apps which make links to other places or if theyre not working, maybe other rom ?
Hi,
I am already using JB and moreover I have used link2sd and many similar apps they do work but the apps take a long time to load since they are on card and I also encounter some problems(apps that starup on boot doesn't work)
I have tried swapping internal and external through apps but they don't allow it in JB
If you can find int/ext memory swapper for JB that would be helpful
