What's the user available internal storage space in Xperia S? On my phone it's showing 25gb. I wanna confirm if that's how much I'm supposed to get.

That's it. 25. The rest is taken by system apps and ROM.
Why is there only 2gb app storage?
Any way to use the whole amount like other phones ???

I want to format the 32Gb storage to FAT32 but it keeps on formatting to generic hierarchical. I've heard that FAT32 is much better than generic hierarchical but my main reason is so that I can transfer large files to my Xbox. So is there any way?
its already Fat32

You should download the Sdcard mounter in the theems and apps menu somewhere, it mounts your xs as Fat32

edit
I have just bought a LG G Pad (Non GPE) to replace my old Ipad 2. I have added a Sandisk Class 10 32gb micro sd.
Generally very happy with it except when I try to install any large app such as games, I get an "Insufficient Space" error.
I have installed a few small apps but I should still have space available.
Under storage in settings you need to see what is taking up your space if you have music or videos you need to use file manager and move them to that SD card because we can't install apps onto the SD card unless your rooted and have the mod or molded Rom. But I have several games on mine with plenty of space

no, it won't your device laggy. if only you root your device.
just try make your device not full for ram usage and not much do modification on your SystemUI ( System Interface) and avoid for installation xposed and xposed module.
that's my suggest and your device will safe.
and try to install app that will make your device can get more free ram. like greenify, xbooster, seeder and manymore.
I did root and installed all of those apps. Phone is fast and lagg free. So thanks!!
