Hello,
I've lurked here for answers, but I couldn't find much about my specific issue, I'm trying to figure out how to ask for help, so bear with me
I have the SGH-M919, I'm no stranger to rooting, ROM flashing, and the lot.
So here is my issue, I used Wanam's site to Install the Rom, because I couldn't find the thread here, and it's fantastic. The trouble is, I realized I wasn't getting LTE, and saw there was the optional Modem to download and flash. that's the Issue. this is what happened (this is the result from a combo Wifi-fix/modem package with the same modem, but it did it with just the modem itself)

and after this the phone shows
START [224,1440]
SECURE CHECK FAIL : (insert PIT, apnhlos, aboot)
When I reboot, it's fine, Just still no LTE
I tried different USB cables, different ports, and tried using the PIT, tried even reflashing the bootloader (glad it failed too) but all gave the same result
Basically, What do I do to Flash this, or fix LTE? Thanks in advance
You can only flash the m919 modems.. wanam has a 9505 modem so theres no way. Search fot the lastest tmo modem I think its mk2.

What do I need to do? Flash the stock firmware? Do a Kies Emergency whatever?
Reboot your computer, use usb ports on the back (#1 on a laptop), use a known good cable. Reflash a stock Rom, then try the auto root again. Or, flash the no trip root in mrRobinsons thread. Both will root. And I would recommend Odin version 3.07. Several people have reported success using the older 1.8x versions, but I like the newer one for the newer phones.
this worked for me
Are you running Windows on a Mac using vmfusion? That could be the problem, try Odin with a windows computer, it worked for me
hi im trying to return to stock from kk and when i use odin this happens:

does anyone know what to do, i've never ran into this before... i've tried odin versions 1.85 and 3.07
info, phone was running vanir 4.4.2 nightly tried to update to latest and phone wouldnt start os so booted into recovery and it went straight to trying to install the rom again, and keeps doing so, so im trying to return to stock to start a new. yes the flash was a dirty flash (vanir has an ota updater script that lets you know a new version is avalible and after downloading it will ask if you want to install, from there it reboots into recovery and installs it and reboots all for you, and it seems like it just got stuck...)

ok fixed it, needed to download older version of cwm and flash it via odin then wipe everything then flash latest twrp vid odin and that fixed it
older CWM + ODIN (and everything else to root stock 4.1.1) (please note i did not compile this just posting the one i found to fix my issue)
Latest TWRP FOR ODIN
please note these file should only be used on D2ATT (Samsung Galaxy S III SGH-I747 AT&T Variant)
I have a Sprint Note 4 running 5.0.1. and I'm trying to downgrade to stock using ODIN every time I try to install the firmware using ODIN it tells me this

I have spent hours scouring the internet to try to fix this and anyone who can help me I will greatly appreciate it.
If you had spent even 5 minutes "scouring" XDA you would have discovered MANY threads which already deal with this issue. Even 5 minutes on Google would have given you links to the discussions here.
What firmware are you on? (because Odin fails I'm going to assume it's either OE1 or OF5) If you are on OE1 or OF5 then the short answer is you CAN'T!
For more information please refer the many threads that have already beat this topic into the ground unmercifully.
I was on resurrection remix rom and I wanted to go back to the stock rom.So I downloaded the firmware for my region from stockroms.net and tried flashing it in ODIN.The problem is that odin gives a fail error when it reaches the end of the system.img file.I don't know what to do here, please help. Here is the progress report from odin.

Try using an older version of odin like 1.85 and also make sure the downloaded rom is ok.
I did that.I used like 3 different versions of odin and 2 stock roms with different regions. No effect.I have flashed TWRP back again so atleast some functionality is restored
Ok seems lik a partition issue. Try using an appropriate pit file.

You're updating the older firmware, since the latest update in July can not be downgraded, so you need the latest firmware as possible. Tell me the firmware code you're trying to flash, and I'll give you a hand
thanks for the reply @AntoKemz
