I have a Sprint Note 4 running 5.0.1. and I'm trying to downgrade to stock using ODIN every time I try to install the firmware using ODIN it tells me this
<ID:0/004> Odin v.3 engine (ID:4)..
<ID:0/004> File analysis..
<ID:0/004> SetupConnection..
<ID:0/004> Initialzation..
<ID:0/004> Get PIT for mapping..
<ID:0/004> Firmware update start..
<ID:0/004> SingleDownload.
<ID:0/004> aboot.mbn
<ID:0/004> NAND Write Start!!
<ID:0/004> FAIL! (Auth)
<ID:0/004>
<ID:0/004> Complete(Write) operation failed.
<OSM> All threads completed. (succeed 0 / failed 1)
I have spent hours scouring the internet to try to fix this and anyone who can help me I will greatly appreciate it.
If you had spent even 5 minutes "scouring" XDA you would have discovered MANY threads which already deal with this issue. Even 5 minutes on Google would have given you links to the discussions here.
What firmware are you on? (because Odin fails I'm going to assume it's either OE1 or OF5) If you are on OE1 or OF5 then the short answer is you CAN'T!
For more information please refer the many threads that have already beat this topic into the ground unmercifully.

can you give more details on what you are doing? Like the ROM your using, does your T999 end in a L or V? Are you coming from a 4.3 OTA or Kies update?
More info might be able to get you more help.

Try using odin version 10.3.6 and also download the latest TWRP package for odin (not the zip recovery package) for our sprint note 4 SM-N910P. Another thing, make sure you select the "BL" (boot loader) button to start the flash process in odin. If that fails use the "AP" button just below it. Not sure what else could be causing your problem.
im on latest odin and tried both ap and bl and still fails and its the tar version for odin not the zip
filename is twrp-2.8.7.0-trltecan.img.tar

Most likely the answer to your problem.
Maybe try an app called flashify. You can flash from within the os.

You're updating the older firmware, since the latest update in July can not be downgraded, so you need the latest firmware as possible. Tell me the firmware code you're trying to flash, and I'll give you a hand
thanks for the reply @AntoKemz

Can someone help me on this? My phone was upgrading from 5.1.1 to 6.0.1 and then it died, so I turned it back on to download mode, and used a stock image of 5.1.1, and no luck. I tried 6.0.1, and still no luck.

Please help, this is my personal phone I use daily. If you can help me with 4.4.4, that would be good too. :good:
I also unticked the bootloader option.
I'm a total n00b at android and need your help.
I have a Note 4 on ATT. Using ODIN a while back, I tried to load Marshmallow on the phone using an .md5 file (2 gb). The process completed, but the phone is stuck at the ATT Logo. Does not boot.
I understand ATT has a bootlock on the device. I want to restore everything to stock the way it was so I can use my phone. I tried DL'ing a few roms that were labeled as "stock" but I get an error on ODIN:

I don't even know what ROM I should be downloading or where to get it from. Samsung Mobile doesn't have the n910A. What should I do?
