Hey guys.
I recently upgraded to lollipop, but most of my apps were crashing and everything was sluggish, so i did a factory reset. I noticed that before the actual update, there was a forced backup. When i try to restore the backup, it goes to 100% and after a moment fails completely. I had all my 2-step verification keys in there, which are really hard to remove from accounts when lost.
LG Support did nothing for me. After they "consulted with technician", i received a reply in which they explained that they can't do anything for me.
Should i try to rollback to KitKat? Is there any way to recover my things or extract important stuff from that backup?
Thank you, Martin.
Any ideas?

I recently backed up everything in the Note 2 with Kies, & it worked without glitches.
However, when I restore backup afterwords, the option to restore call log is greyed.
So my question is; could there be another sw letting me restore the "callog.bk"...?
I know, I shouldn't have had anything to do at all, with the crappy Kies sw.
Grateful for any kind of hints, in the right direction!
Edit:
Solved the issue by uninstalling all of Kies sw.
Then installed an older version that u can find
here.
Now my call logs are back, and I promise never
to use Kies crap again. There are other sw....
Hi,
After a factory reset to Lollipop 5.0.2, I don't seem to have the Contacts or Phone app anymore. How can I solve this?
The background story is as follows:
I recently resat my Z1 Compact and installed Lollipop 5.0.2. Earlier I had a CyanogenMod version, but it had some annoying bugs, so I decided to go back to stock Android.
I used Titanium Backup to backup apps and user data from CM. When I tried to restore these apps and userdata in Lollipop, I got error messages all the time, saying "android.process.acore", "android.process.phone", "Phone", "Top Contacts" and "Contacts" had stopped working. Trying to get rid of these error messages, I cleared the data and uninstalled some apps related to Phone and Contacts, but the error messages kept coming.
I therefore did a factory reset again. I discovered that I did not have any contacts synced on my phone, so I tried to sync them.
It turned out I couldn't find neither the Contacts app or Phone app on my phone. It is therefore impossible to enter the settings in the Contacts app to make the phone sync contacts.
I have tried searching, but I haven't found a solution.
What can I do to fix this?
Thanks in advance.

Sounds like you may have to reflash. Did you check /system/app? Are they there? If. So, you could try clicking on base.apk, and see if they reinstall, or try to get a stock apk from another user. I'm currently not on stock ROM, so I can't. I came across this thread recently, http://forum.xda-developers.com/z3/themes-apps/xperia-z3-apks-t3059426 - it's for Z3, but they might work, or maybe there's a similar thread for z1c, (I haven't seen it). Hope that helps.
Thanks for your answer.
The only relevant apps I could find in /system/app, was ContractsSIM. I'll try to find a thread with stock apps for z1c like you suggested, if not, I'll try the app from z3. If that doesn't work either, I guess I'll have to reflash again.

1. if you switch from a custom ROM back to stock always make a clean install (full wipe)
2. NEVER restore apps with Titanium Backup from CM to stock - lots of problems
Full Wipe - flash stock ROM - install all apkĀ“s new - finish
Ok, great, I'll try that. ?
By the way, I haven't been able to reboot into recovery mode. It's like that possibility doesn't exist after I flash to stock Lollipop 5.0.2. That means I haven't been able to try to install Xposed (which I don't know if would work at all, though...). Any idea why that is, and how I could fix that?

If you flashed stock ROM via Flashtool, you no longer have root or recovery, etc., unless it was a pre-rooted ftf. You'll have to reroot, and flash recovery.
Edit- don't know if you figured it out yet or not, but. I came across this today - http://forum.xda-developers.com/cro...-collection-stock-files-sony-devices-t3142349
Hello everyone,
I was a noob when it came to rooting/custom rom flashing etc. and I always avoided doing it for my note 2. With the help of XDA and so many helpful threads, I was able to learn it easily(thanks to the contributing members). However, I am facing a bit of a problem with the restoration with the help of TWRP.
Initially, when I restored while using the stock 4.4.2 kitkat with root, it worked like a charm. After that I flashed CM-13 ROM made by Ivan. I was also able to recover app data for the google play signed in apps via wi-fi. I tried to restore after the new installation and there was no problem with the custom recovery, however when I booted up the phone, half my apps went missing and I was getting constant pop-ups that apps like settings, supersu, update have stopped working. I tried restoring again, but now I am not geting any display but just a greyish screen and the pop-ups just like before stating that the apps have stopped working.
Am I missing something? Do I need to do something else?
Thank you.
Hello and good evening,
you can't restore just data. Your device will miss some files in system partition and apps like SetupWizard will keep stopping.
The only thing, you can so is restoring the whole Backup.
The next time I suggest you to backup only Apps with Titanium-Backup and restore them after installing.
Kind regards

Yes, I restored the whole thing, that is the whole backup which was generated by TWRP on my my sd-card. And then I am getting these pop-ups and a greyish screen on my phone. Only the options generated by holding the power button-i.e. power off, restart etc. is getting displayed after holding it. I can't see anything else.
Hi Guys,
I had to flash a restored backup after my Google Play Service crashed so hard that the only chance to use my phone in a proper way was to restore an older backup.
After this my bluetooth didn't work anymore. No chance to start it. So I opended settings => apps and couldn't even find the bluetooth apps. Only app related to bluetooth was the widget app.
I think the problem began when creating the backup and something went wrong so the bluetooth apps weren't included. Yesterday I did a factory reset but without success
Is there a way to re-flash these apps/drivers or will I have to flash the original Software and loosing all my settings and so on?
Thanks for any help in advance :fingers-crossed:
Stock 5.0 / 5.1? Stock 6.0? CM12.1 ?
sorry, I forgot to tell you my OS
it's rooted stock 6.0
How did you create your backup ?
If you used TWRP, did you wipe Dalvik Cache between flashes?

I've had exactly the same issue. (also after a nandroid restore) RUU'ing the phone did the trick for me.

thanks for your answer
I'll try it within the next days
I also realized that boom sound isn't working anymore. I guess this is the same problem as the bluetooth issue
just did the nandroid again and bluetooth seems to work again *crazy*
Now I'll have to wait until tomorrow to see if it really works with my car's audio system
edit: after two days of testing I can confirm that bluetooth is working without any problems :highfive:
but boomsound still is not available. But this is something I can live with
Hi all,
got my OP5t and initially set it up without my gmail account because I did not have my 2nd factor with me. Now, I wanted to restore apps and settings from my previous phone (Nexus 6P that hard-bricked itself).
Doing it the "official" way, there should be a screen saying "Which device" during setup so I can restore apps from my prev phone. So I factory reset the 5t to go through setup again. However, this screen does not show up at all. I checked the backups on google drive, and the N6P backup is definitely there. I tried to reset the 5t to factory settings and run through the process again, nothing...
Is the reason that my N6P backup comes from an oreo device and the 5t is "only" nougat? No backwards-compatibility with backups? If so, any ideas on how to "fix" this? Or am I missing something else?
Thx
No ideas as for the problem itself sadly (as everything google lately, it's a bit buggy f'd up...) but can you restore thorugh nfc / bluetooth ?

Unfortunately no since my N6P hard-bricked itself So I'm afraid the only way to get my original data would be through the backup on GDrive
Same problem here. I had to create a new device.
After some try n6p find the op5t, but no backup.
