If you are using custom ROM, its possible to be ROM problem.

no stock rom...

I too have this problem. After a lot of tweaks I think I solved it.
PNF doesn't work because it's not a push problem. (if you look on the events at the play service monitor you'll see that you received a message but you only get the notification after a flush on GCM).
Looks like that in custom ROMs (at least on stock KERNEL/ROM this didn't occur) wifi get disabled after a short period of time.
I solved using advance wifi lock and putting it to disable wifi after an hour. The downside is that you get wakelocks due to that, and you only get instantly whatsapp messages for an hour.

Yeah. Right now I'm paying this price for this problem. But it is a well known Android bug and it's more common on Custom ROMs. I think as long as Google didn't fix the problem I still will have it.
For the first percent (100->99) I used to have 9h standby or 30min of screen, the one who comes first. With the wakelocks I'm having 5h or 20 min of screen.
It's better that my previous phone but less than what is possible for the G3

[APP] LED Me Know - app for LED notification !

Found out about this from the G2 forum
"LED Me Know" is a great app (available from the market) which you can use to make the LED blink for notification ! You can select if you want it to blink for new SMS, gmail, missed calls, etc. Also there's an option to make the trackpad light blink, though I've not tried that myself. Works great on my DZ with stock ROM

I can see it using a few MB of memory, but that's fine, I've got plenty of RAM. I haven't noticed any difference in my battery usage today since I installed it this morning, but I'll keep an eye on it, thanks.

Nor did I, the only thing that I noticed was my LED would flash for no apparent reason even without any notifications. Had to uninstall
There was an update to the program yesterday, with some more new features.

thanks for the heads up, might need to give it another shot
had it for 1 day, and deleted, cuz when i receive sms or email while i sleep, the blink will either wake me up, or it will drain out the battery by the time i wake up (after it blinked for so many hours....)
good concept, good app to be use while i'm awake~

ok, so why not put the phone face down, or in its case or something if you don't want to see the LED flashing ? Another alternative is to turn off the service when you want to go to sleep (just go into the app and select the option to turn it off).
And did you find it to really drain the battery overnight ?
Maybe it's not for you though.
Unfortunately I also had a problem with this app draining the battery. I installed it on my stock T-Mobile G2 and experienced less than a third of my typical battery life today while using it. Not sure if the app itself is causing this or the flashing LED is drawing that much current. I uninstalled it for now.

[Q] Is there a problem with my battery?

Hi,
Is there something wrong with my battery? This is the second time it has happened to me .. last time I left it overnight at 45% and when I woke up the phone was off, so I looked in battery usage and saw that it fell to 0 right from ~25%, and today, I was in an international call, and the call cut off and the phone shut down. It wasn't hot at all, I checked.
Is there some bug with the software, or is it a problem with my battery?
Can you check in the setting menu, where the battery is used for? There must be some or one thing, maybe a constantly updating widget, which is faulty, it really take me 1.5 days before my battery is flat with internet on all the time, and 3 days plus with internet off.
On the other hand I had the same with my lg a while ago and after a flash it was OK.
Sometimes these kind of phones behave very unpredictable....

Oh I'm not worried about the battery life, I was putting it through a lot of use.. and I have a lot of widgets updating frequently
My concern is with the sudden drop from ~25% to 0 which has happened twice now
your battery might be wrongly calibrated.Download battery calibrator from market.charge to 100%,click calibrate battery..it should fix your problem

This happened to me few times. The last time I noticed was from ~48% left it overnight (only about 6 hours) and I woke up to find the phone was off. Usually my phone loose about ~25% overnight. Not sure what or who is the culprit. I have flashed few firmwares and none fixed the issue. Currently I'm rooted using Generic World firmware with locked bootloader and removed many bloatwares.

I've this program installed and I'm sure it has not helped with this issue. I see "missing data" when there is a sudden loss of battery.
I´ve also the problem; my arc is not rooted, so there is no chance to calibrate the battery...?
Had it once, took the battery out and in again and it had 20% more again. Then I charged it at home and so far it works fine.

Thank you. I´ve taken out the battery for about 15 minutes and put it in. The percentage is still as before.
Is there another way to reset the batterystats.bin without root?
Well looks like many people are having this issue, either there are a lot of faulty batteries out there, or its a problem with the firmware. I'm leaning towards the latter.
I'm using Rogers 2.3.3, what are you guys using?

I experinced this issue with Singapore generic firmware as well as World Generic (current) firmware. Hence I don't think it could be a specific firmware issue.
Awake
Anyway to find out what or which program kept the phone to stay in awake? As you can see the screenshot, the phone was awake during random times and most of the time without the screen isn't on.
Sorry, no idea, perhaps someone else here can help
For me its probably something like latitude which I set to auto update

"Latitude"? How can I verify that it doesn't affect me
Latitude comes with Google Maps, its basically a location sharing feature. If you press the menu button in google maps you can click on latitude, then menu button again -> settings, and change from 'Detect Automatically' to 'Manual'
If you don't know what it is I doubt you actually have it enabled anyway, so it could be some weather widget maybe?

I checked and my menu reads as "Join Latitude" which means I have not enabled it in the first place (I guess so).
I'm using Beautiful widget for weather service so not sure whether that is the culprit.
I wish there is more visibility for this .
Thanks for your explanations .
Btw I tried the Supercharger script, and it has doubled my battery life
(You need root)
I chose options 1,6,17

May be due to the "Green Power" application. I checked before and if I switch on the WiFi it is continues without any problem.
I too hope for the same as you. Annoying bug .
I have the very same problem. The phone battery goes from 100% to 66-64 over the night...showing that the Cell standby and Display has drained the most of the %...

[Q] calls receiving issue

I've a serious problem in my phone that appears after upgrading to ICS, frequently when someone calls me it gives him ring and my phone do nothing and it doesn't even shows it in the missed calls, when i tested this from my other phone the phone didn't respond until i press the standby button it starts to ring!!!, this issue always happens when the phone is on standby and when i press the standby button i noticed the signal fluctuating from 0 to full like crazy and stabilizes after a second. I'd like to say that it happens frequently not every time (once or twice daily).
i had to activate the call forwarding when not answered option to my another phone until i found any fix for this issue, i was using stock ICS then used custom and rooted rom then lite kernel and nothing changes, i used CPU tuner app to set the min CPU seed at least 750 and nothing changes, changed the sim and no changes, I didn't have this issue before when using GB.
I'm currently using this phone in Egypt with Vodafone as it is unlocked
Can any one help.
Thanks in advance
Update
i had found a new app on Google play prevent the phone from going to deep sleep called (wake my android pro), it is a free app as it allow the phone to sleep and not to deep sleep so it is not consuming battery like (wake lock) app which keeps the phone running in background and reduce battery cycle for about 40%.
i had tested it for 10 days i didn't loss calls so far
still waiting for a real fix.

thank you for your reply, actually i'm searching in this issue for 2 months and i see the above links before,i was looking for a real solution not workaround as the device is already draining battery and the solution will make it worse.
i was looking for a mod or a even a rom that solves this issue because GB was working fine but its too old now.
anyway thanks again
Well, I think if there were a solution, it would be posted shortly. I am not satisfied with the wake lock too, so still at GB

Lollipop battery drain system(adsprpcd) media server

After updating to lollipop im getting heavy drain by media server which is named as system adsprpcd by gsam battery monitor . I never got this battery drain in kitkat .
I got this problem in every lolli rom viper sd insertcoin etc . I fixed all files and removed all corrupted files but the issue doesnt solve .
I flashed back viper kitkat rom a few days back and surprisingly kitkat battery was good as is should be no battery drain whatskever. But after comjng back to lolli rom (sd rom now ) the problem again started .
Is it lollipop software ?

I have the same problem. I have disabled Nu player from developer options but the problem occurs again.
When I notice in GSam battery that adsprpcd is beginning to drain the battery I reboot the phone and that fixes it for a while.
Does anyone know of a permanent fix?
I have been trying to find answer to this problem. I've had it on ALL lollipop Roms. Aosp, sense, and gpe. It's driving me nuts. I have figured out however that it has nothing to do with nuplayer or Google music. It's something to do with notifications.
In gsam it lists audio on for X hrs, x m, xs. Now if I send myself a text or anything that gives me a notification, that timer starts ticking. If I go back and refresh, the audio on time keeps going up for several minutes before it will stop. But if I clear notification from my notification screen the timer stops immediately. That's what's causing it to show up at the top of gsam. That's the cause. I haven't figured out a solution except clearing the notifications.
I am curious though if this isn't some issue with gsam because bbs does not show anything for that process.
Edit: here's a screenshot

Yes. I have since had to change that opinion but never updated my post since no one responded.
Do you by any chance leave your data on 3g only?

I figured as much. It's still a mystery to me. I've gotten to where I just ignore it. When I see it start showing up at the top of gsam I just reboot. I've no idea what makes it run constantly like that. I'm hoping when I update to mm soon it will go away but I'm not holding my breath
So Wi-Fi is solved.. cuz in settings is in lollipop in Wi-Fi settings default enabled Wi-Fi for location so this is solved for me.
but adsprpcd still comsupt too much batt life .. BTW WTF is audiomix?

Same problem here. I pulled out my SD card now which I had all my mp3 songs to see if it is the reason for this wakelock. Before that the following screenshots show my situation:
I want to add also that I'm on mm 6.0 (jw version) with xposed installed.
Στάλθηκε από το HTC One M8 μου χρησιμοποιώντας Tapatalk
I also notice this on Lollipop but today I finally found what is causing this wakelock for me: notification about battery saving when I turn on Extreme battery saving. It's weird, but it's true. How I noticed it? Yesterday I read on xda that this wakelock is causing by notifications. After last night, when I always turn on extreme battery saving, I saw that adsprpcd has about 8h, what is exactly same time I was sleeping. I tested it once again: I checked how much time adsprpcd had, then turned on extreme battery saving, turned it off after a minute and again check time - it increased. Because I have Xposed I installed NotifyClean, remove notification about battery saving and repeated test, time didn't increase Adsprpcd can be caused by other notifications I think, I will examine it.
But as mentioned on xda, I don't see really impact on battery by this wakelock, because I lost 1-2% per night, when adsprpcd increase time.

A notifybuddy replacement for s20u?

Hello! I just got my s20U today and I noticed notifybuddy has some problems... for some reason, the first day battery stats showed my screen on time at 7hours, including 2.5 just from notifybuddy. The problem is, I didnt touch the cell at all for 4 hours, and during that time battery stats showed 1hour and 10min of screen on time due to notifybuddy. So its obvious to me that that app does something that will mess up with the real screen on time value. Now my question is, is there a similiar app working fine with s20u? Thank you!
You could try aodNotify

Thanks, tried it but theres a problem that i didnt have with notifybuddy.
With aodnotify you basically have the chance to have always on display set to a) on only when there are notifications or b) always on. Meanwhile, I want to have AOD only to show when i tap once on the screen. And unless I'm missing something, thats impossible with that app. Any idea how to fix this? Thanks!
