Problem with New Market

I am running CM 6.1.1 and for some reason since I tried to install the new market app I get repeated force closes.
I've tried installing it 3 ways:
1. I flashed the .zips from this post via recovery
2. I extracted the .apk itself and pushed to system/app
3. I even deleted the old market.apk then pushed the new one
However I'm still getting force closes. The app won't even open up for a second to use.
I also noticed there are 3 different apps associated with the market vending.apk, market.apk, and market updater.apk.
Do all of these need to be replaced?
Did you delete the market cache prior to installing?
Yes. I did, I don't know what this issue is.
You have to wipe dalvik cache first and then flash or push the apk
Sent from my T-Mobile myTouch 3G Slide using XDA App
Thanks I'll try it.

If not, try the apk I attached, it's the newest 2.2.7 one. My old thread that you found has an installer for 2.2.6.
EDIT: Actually, it seems that this version is also 2.2.6, but after you install it, the market updater updates it to 2.2.7. Anyway, push this file to /system/app.
I got that problem when I booted into my ROM before I flashed the gapps. If you still haven't fixed it, try wiping and installing the ROM/gapps again before you boot.
Finally got this fixed.
I think doing it in this order made it possible:
1.Force stop the market and wipe it's data
2.Reboot in CWM recovery and wipe cache/dalvik-cache
3.Push vending.apk to /system/app (or flash whatever .zip)
I finally got the new market with out tons of force closes.
Thanks to everyone for the help.

Accidentally uninstalled camera.

Yesterday when trying to take a picture, I noticed that it didnt look right. I uninstalled the system app camera. I thought I did a back up through titanium backup but I didn't. How can I get that back on my evo so ther camera will work again?
You will have to pull the camera apk from a stock rom and push it to the system/app folder.
I am using a snergy rom..
SERIOUSLY!? Just reflash the rom it will be there again
I have to much stuff on there. I rather just grab the apk and flash it of i can..
If you just wipe system in recovery and then reflash the ROM your data will remain intact it will only replace system. The method of pushing the apk is also easy, if you have root explorer this is much easier. I would also try just putting the apk on the sd card then simply installing it. Make sure though you pull the one from Synergy rom.
I did find a newer htc cam apk but it wouldnt install. I tried to use root explorer but i am not to familiar with it so what i did, it didnt work.
ok..I just wiped the system and reinstalling it...thanks for your help...
I pm'ed you if you need more help
Getting Camera Back
If you want to get your camera back(if rooted and ROM flashed) just re-flash the rom or find another rom

[Q] Stock Calander app wont install

Running 4.0.4 based rom.
Tried Root Explorer/System/Apps/ Deleted Calander & widget apks
Then when I tried installing TouchwizCalander apk it wont let me..
Is it the rom or have I done something wrong?
It wont install like a normal app. You have to push it to /system/app/ and set permissions to rw-r--r-- then reboot.

[Q] Stock 4.2 camera is not working!

Today I read a little guide from youmobile, about installing the new camera in android 4.2. (cant post link since im new)
I did everything except I forgot to backup first. Now everytime i start up the phone, open camera or open gallery it comes "Gallery has crashed".
Anyone knows what I might have done wrong? I used ROM Manager -> Boot into clockwordmod recovery -> flash zip -> and i chose the zip.
The camera is working trough apps like Snapchat, but not trough the stock app.
I could also use the stock 4.1.2 gallery and camera .apk so I atleast can get back my camera.
I am running on 4.1.2 takju nexus, with Air Kernel 3.0.46.
Please help.

if you still get crashes, you may want to reflash your Rom (without wiping).
also try fixing permissions, either in clockwork or rom manager

Thanks. I'm new tho, so what do you mean by fixing permissions. Could you give me step by step?
Go into recovery(CWM) and select the fix permissions option (might be under advanced)
Swype'ed on my CM10 Galaxy Nexus
Installing the .zip file already fixes permissions. Have you tried renaming the apk to Gallerygoogle2.apk in your preferred file manager?
second post, the link works perfectly.
Thanks!

[Q] Uninstalled stock gallery app by mistake on Cyanogenmod-11

I am currently using cm-11 on my Xperia M. Few days ago I uninstalled the stock gallery app and installed the sony album app instead. But I recently found that without the stock gallery app, I am unable to set the wallpapers, edit images etc. I tried to install the stock gallery app from the .apk file but it didn't install. Is there anyway to install it back and fix the issue? Or is flashing the rom again, the only option? Also, if I flash it again(install .zip from cwm recovery), will I lose all my data or will it just upgrade the apps without deleting all my data?
i think you could just flash again and it will upgrade and give you the app back
