Calendar question - AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note 4

On the note 3 we were able to copy a calendar event by selecting the event and then the menu button. With no menu button on the note 4, it looks like this option was removed. I have tried selecting the event and the 3 dot menu to no avail.
Does anyone know how to do this on the note 4?

Have you tried holding down the recents button so that it functions as the menu button? I haven't tried it myself but it should work unless the option was specifically removed on the Note 4

I liked it also. I am currently using my Note 3 on WiFi to plan out my schedules every Monday because of that. Have a lot of similar tasks that are not on a repetitive schedule that this saves me a lot of time by copying and a king small edits.

ACalendar allows you to copy events.

ICS 4.0 & All the Little Things! [undocumented features]

Just wondering for those of you who have the device already, have you guys found some neat features/tricks using 4.0 that haven't been documented or heavily advertised?
I would love to make a list of these features for other users to explore...
Lets get this started
List:
Reserved........
I know it's documented, but it was still a surprise to me - you can now finally delete apps straight from the app drawer, by dragging them just as if you were going to place them on the desktop, but then putting them in the recycle bin on the top.
No affiliation with apple. Or siri.

Nobody's talking about the search app. It's way better than the one in Gingerbread. Much easier to find stuff in your phone : music, app, sms, docs, etc. The old one was returning web search suggestion in 90% of the result... useless.
Search in browser let's you edit suggestion if you want to add something to it. But we lost popular web site suggestion
Just read it on Pocketnow but you can make folders in the favourites bar. Apologies if obvious.
When in the stock browser and you change orientation, tap the screen to make it rotate.

which runs TouchWiz, so it's not stock Android
Rotate the phone to the right whilst in any stock app (so the speaker grill and front camera are on the right). Notice that the back, home and task switch buttons have moved to the top of the screen so that they stay on the right.
When using an ics app hold down on an icon in the action bar to get a description of what it does

Not heavily advertised, but it should be:
The quick control in the browser. Almost the same as on honeycomb. Activate it in the labs settings of the browser. Love it!

NICE find! Thanks!
This is known about, however you said undocumented and I haven't a single document for the Nexus/ICS apart from on one which came with the phone, telling me how to fix the battery.
Hold the volume down and power key, and you take a screen capture. Which is very handy on occasions

If you tap the volume button which makes the volume bar appear, you can then press the icon to the left of the volume bar and it toggles between ring and vibrate.

In settings/about phone. Tap repeatedly on the android version number (4.0...) then a little android appears. Keep ur finger on it and it grows into a screen animation.
If u didn't know about this,I guess u r now thinking this is a joke. Or is it?
Need someone to test; try swiping the web pages up/down using 2 fingers
, is it a feature or a glitch?

Note 2 Home button opens up recent apps

Hello all.
My problem right now is concerning the T mobile Note 2 home button.
When my phone is off, and I press the home button to open the phone (I have no lock screen, it opens up directly), the phone opens up the recent menu. Before, my phone would just light up and stay on the home screen and not pop up the recent apps side bar thingy. If I use the power button to open the phone, it's fine.
How do I fix this?
Right now I'm running: Jedi Master 14.
I know before my phone was working just fine on Jedi 11 or 12.
Is it a rom bug ? or hardware problem?
Thanks!
I don't know if this is a bug or hardware, but I have the same issue. When I'm at home I have the lock screen disabled, and when I press the home button it takes me to recent apps, and I'm on stock ROM, stock kernel, just rooted.
It's a bug of sorts - I had to add in a little smali stuff to make that stop.

[Q] How to activate Pie controls?

Hi,
I'm currently using the Xnote Zero Edition 4.1.2 and I want to enable Pie controls. There is a menu item in the settings, however, nothing happens when I activate TouchInput. In some other threads I read that you have to use the extended desktop mode. What does this mean and how do I activate it?

Idont know what it is, but i saw an option called "active pim control" somewhere in wifi menu.
You have to first assign control buttons. .say position 1 for menu. .2 for home etc

Hi,
I already assigned items to the Pie menu (Home, Back etc.), but it still won't show up. I activated TouchService in the settings and the gesture input device is set to HTC Evo3D/Sensation/Amaze/HOZ, Motorola RAZR/DROID, Acer Iconia, Samsung GT8.9. There is no option for a Galaxy Note 8.
Just to be sure: if it's working, I should be able to activate it by sliding my finger from the right border onto the touch screen, right?
Right or left depending on your setting preference...

I'm using the default (right handed). It prints out "LMT: TouchService started", so it should work. But when I slide my finger from the right bezel onto the screen (on the home screen) the screen it just changes the home screen to the next screen.
Does it work for you? If yes, what ROM are you using?
I had an issue with lmt suddenly not working 20 days back. ..download the latest version from xda and reset the settings
Sent from my GT-N7100 using Tapatalk 2
I've downloaded and installed the newest version (1.912), but it still does not work...I just can't get the pie menu to show up.
What ROM are you using?
On stock rooted. . Use it more on my note 2 with omega rom

[Q] Note 3 - Multi-Window Strange Issue - Doesn't place correct app

I am running Lab Rats custom rom for my T-Mobile Note 3 (hltetmo), which granted the ability to add all apps to multi-window. However, when I attempt to add apps in to my mult-window tab, it adds the wrong one. For example, I go in to edit, in order to modify which apps I want to use, and when I drag the app I want in to the multi window tab on the left, it adds the wrong one.
What I did notice is that it does add in the first seven rows of apps correctly (the apps that appear to the right when you press edit in the multi window tab), but lets say I scroll to the next seven rows, for some reason the memory retains the position and data of the first seven rows. For example, in row 1 column 1 I have 'Action Memo'. When I scroll down to the next seven rows, in row 1 column 1 I now have 'Fast Reboot' as the app in that position. When I drag in 'Fast Reboot' in to the multi window tab on the left, it places the 'Action Memo' app instead.
It does this for every app after you scroll past the first seven rows, whatever app I try to place, it will place the app the corresponds to that row and column from the initial seven rows.
Has anyone else experienced this?
I did a search and can't quite find this issue specifically. I experienced this same issue in my Note 2 when I ran JediX on it. Due to this I haven't used multi window and finally decided to inquire about it.
It's a commonly reported issue. There was an xposed mod that got around it, though I'm not sure it will work on 4.3. Otherwise you have to smali-hack the fixes in to make it behave.
Also having the same issue
Happens to me as well. Also happened on my S3.

The problem is too many apps. . If you cut down the number apps in the list then they will all work

I actually did a screen record today showing this exact problem. I didn't know it was widely reported because when I did a google, nothing came up for the Note 3. I am using Wanam Xposed to add more apps to multiview. I thought it was that I had too many apps, like someone above said, so I reduced the number. Same problem. Then I thought it was just the Google apps (like Google Voice, Google Wallet, etc.) but sometimes they would work, and sometimes they wouldn't.
So I hope it gets fixed soon. Maybe i'll upload the video anyway.

Same here tried that too and I'm running JEDI v5 now, it seems to be a TW issue rather than a Rom issue. Hopefully someone with more insight can chime in?

I have not experienced this yet on my Note III but I did have a similar problem on my Note II.
My note II was on the Jedi Rom, my Note III is rooted via De La Vega still using stock Recovery and Kernel.
I used to drag all the applications to the multi-window drawer and then drag out the ones I did not want to solve the problem.
I hope that will help get all your apps you want into the multi-window drawer.
:good:
Yes I've added and removed the apps too in order to get what I want, although a bit cumbersome. I was just hoping if anybody had heard of a fix for this issue.

If I remember from the note 2, clearing the cache on the flashbar service apk did the trick. Might want to try that.

Action Memo Alternatives?

I love Action Memo functionality but I would like the ability to customize actions. Specifically, I would prefer to send lists of todo items from action memo to a different task manager than the s-planner (ex: Asana, Wunderlist, GTask , etc.). Anyone have any ideas?

I would like to do this, too.
I would also like a different app other than Action Memo to be triggered once the pen is pulled.
Oh how I await the Note 3 ROMs of the future...

Indeed friends, indeed... sign the bootloader unlock in my signature and there may be hope yet.
If OneNote had drawing support then we wouldn't even need action memo anymore..
