After spending a significant amount of time building a really cool Zooper widget, my work has been frozen, literally. The widget does not update, it's static. The time doesn't change. I have several modules triggered by advanced parameters, which do not take effect (i.e., a play button pops up when I'm connected to bluetooth, this doesn't happen). Even if I try to force a refresh in the zooper app, the widget on my homescreen doesn't change at all. In the Zooper config screen, the preview shows the widget correctly (everything updated and presented as it should based upon advanced parameters).
Everything was working last night, but this morning, it's now frozen. Restart doesn't fix the problem.
I'm using ZW v2.58. Nova Launcher Prime. Note 4 AT&T (nonrooted). FWIWs, I tried using Apex and had the same problem.
Help, please!
Have you tried deleting your widget from homescreen and place it again?
Yes. I've tried also uninstalling and reinstalling Nova and ZW. And the problem recurs. I even tried recreating the widget, but the problem recurs.
This thread is old but I have had this same issue, Zooper Widgets not updating. I have to restart my phone to get them to update.

Hey there,
I'm having some rather odd clock issues with my phone. The time is "right" but not really. I use LauncherPro and WidgetLocker. I've never had any issues with these. However, WidgetLocker has its own clock widget. It works fine half the time. The other half of the time it is one hour behind my phone time. But that's not always right either.
For example, it's 9:30PM. The widget time will say 8:30PM. A few minutes pass, and the widget time is at least an hour behind sometimes a few minutes. The system bar shows 9:30PM as well, but then once I open the keyboard or rotate the phone, it will update to the current time, let's just say something like 9:37PM.
Both the apps listed are up to date, and I'm running CM 7.2.0 RC1.
Phone is rooted, I removed a few included APKs when I flashed the ROM. Is there a certain preinstalled APK that might have been affected by my removing it that updates the time, or does anyone know a fix?
Thanks!
As title says. VERY annoying; sometimes this widget just stops updating time. And I see from "running services" that "com.android.app.keyguard" is "restarting...". Forever.
This happens a lot after long sessions of use or after a lot of time that phone is charging.
Tried EVERYTHING to fix it and no, I don't want to use another widget. However, other clock widgets have no problems at all. Only the stock one, apparently, doesn't restart after it gets killed (which I don't understand too since I have a lot of free ram at any moment).
I'm on stock rom, I9195 variant, 4.2.2, rooted and busybox/xposed installed.
The fastest way I found to manually restart t
his widget is maximize it. After that, next time I turn on the screen, it shows correct time and updates itself
w/out problems for a few minutes/hours, then problem occurs again.
PLEASE help.
No one?
Solved. It was somehow related to greenify, maybe because of restored data from titanium backup. Reinstalled everything without TiBu, now everything is fine. Weird since everything else was working fine...
Just got a Tab S 10.5 LTE the last week, and it's already the third time I'm going to factory reset, because this happens.
At a seemingly random point, widgets like Google search and AquaMail stop working (Tap here to restore, which won't work) and disappear from the widgets list. However rather than having 2 widgets under Google search, I now have one entry (Google Now). Same with AquaMail, only the 4x3 widget disappears, while the 1x1 one is still in the widgets list.
Rebooting won't help, either.
And that's the only thing I could notice anyway, god knows what else has gone missing. It's really frustrating.
I haven't messed around much, more than freezing a few proper bloatware crap, and installing xposed AdAway for Youtube. I'm sure if those are the culprits I'd be able to find similar issues googling, but nope.
Could it be caused by the new Nova version? But doubt so too, since I haven't seen any complaints about this.
It's really driving me crazy.
update: I read somewhere that it could be caused by some wrong permissions managing, and to use the Fix Permissions feature in TWRP. And so I did, and boy did it break the tablet lol. It's completely messed up, won't even let me delete a random file of mine. Yet another factory reset here I go
Hello All.
Been using zooper widget for a while now and have created a lot of complex widgets with no issue. Now, after going to CM12.1, all my widgets are resetting to a default location (Eureka) after my screen goes off. I have to manually force update to get the correct location/weather. Anyone else have this issue or know a fix? Thanks
My phone keeps asking me to reselect my home app. The only home apps installed are Nova 7 and the stock app. I can live with this, but it's a nuisance. Suggestions?
I have the same issue after using the launcher without any issues for two years. The annoyance started with one of the latest nova updates.
I have to tell NovalLauncher 7 to be my default launcher over 10 times a day. All the usual re-install, clear cache, "make it the default through the settings menu" things don't fix it.
Look at this post!
Nova Launcher Loses Default Status On Reboot
The thread title says it all. This is driving me absolutely insane. On reboot, probably about 70% to 80% of the time, OnePlus launcher gets magically put on default status over Nova on reboot. The same problem would occasionally happen on my 8...
