Help plz. Got big problems with network connectivity

Got phone today from expansys. Unbranded, sim free.
Have big problems with connectivity. As I insert sim card my brand new one x signs to my mobile carrier. But after sec or two it disconnects. I get massage: preparing sim card. At that time it has no signal.
Than after 30 seconds it connects again for sec or two. Disconnects. And again and again...
After awhile it stops with no connectivity...
Did factory reset few times. Not better.
Tried sim card in different phone. It's ok.

Is it normal that there is no radio version in bootloader?
Should I get replacment or wait for OTA?

I did enjoy 2 days I had it. Great device. Best screen ever. Friend with iPhone 4s was blown away. Well he still thinks that ithingy is better. He got working phone first time

They did collect. Well TNT did. They told me that if they have stock they will. Nobody buy white from expansys till Thursday!

Please tell us if the new one is working OK. Seems there is a batch with the phones with same problem :-(

Did you get new phone? Is it any better?

I got a replay that the phone is OK, but it is not working on our phone providers :-( Their SIM card is not working, I don't know why. So in my country phone is not selling any more for now.

My phone is OK. Seem in Slovenia this phone is not working with our operator. I do not know how this is possible... I thought every phone that uses european standard works but seems it is not so :-( 3 users from Slovenia have phone that does not connect to the operater...

I had a problem with message "Preparing Sim Card" on my one x on Three UK. I also had a problem with network search not showing any operators, so I entered this code *#*#4636#*#* then changed the "Set preferred network type" from WCDMA Preferred to GSM Auto (PRL). Now I can see other operators in network search and I haven't had the preparing sim message since.

Virgin Mobile Data?

Anyone on Virgin Mobile been having the worst reception lately? I get no 3G, pure 1x. This occurred to me almost a week ago now. Reception goes from 3 to 0. And sometimes no data at all.
I'm on the east coast at PA Philadelphia, and I don't know if Virgin Mobile is doing something, or if its that Hurricane that's hitting.

Also, MMS keeps doing this when downloaded, and some other error when sending after 10 minutes.

I had these said issues few days back on stock or custom Rom. Virgins network sucks right now. I'm thinking of getting unlocked nexus from Google. Freedom of choice that way

I think it's Sprint. Releasing phones with LTE, while they don't have LTE yet. Maybe Sprint is doing something. They said something about LTE in December.

Yea they persisted for a few days. But now back to average speeds and connection times. Slow still

Did you know that after 2.5GB you will get slow data connection? And some place they are making change because we use sprint PCS network on USA but on others country i really dont know

Note 2 lte firmware help N7105

Hey folks what firmware did your sim free UK only please lte note 2 come with and three UK customers also.
Having some troubles here if I'm browsing the Web and my signal icon is H+ everything fine but if it drops to H/3G my data just crashes, tried a few different radios so far but still same thing happening wanna try all possibilities before having to send back really, this is what I got so far and you can see my speeds are insane but it's just annoying now.

The phone will drop to 3G to conserve battery when data is not in use. I believe there's a way to force HSPA only, you're going to have to search for it. Your phone and its radio firmware are fine though.

Currently on giffgaff and was thinking about switching to Three to take advantage of DC-HSDPA and eventually 4G, but it's worrying if the data connection is that flakey.
Sorry I can't offer any help but will be keeping a close eye on this thread and hopefully will give some insight about the Three network. The lack of 2G fallback for calls also bothers me.

I understand it will drop when not in use but this is when I'm on a website browsing it will drop and If I click a link it won't do anything it's weird

4.1.1 7105 on t-mobile does not do that, works fine.

I'm having okay data connection using the modem in your screenshot. N7105 on Three.
3G H H+ all working fine but there are some dark spots where I can't get data even with H+ on full strength.

[Q] Z1 Compact and 4G

Hi there,
I have a rooted Z1 Compact (used the UK firmware) on T-Mobile network, and I've just payed for a 4G data plan and also replaced my age-old SIM card with a 4G-capable one.
However, I still cannot register to the 4G network so I only have 3G. Could this be because I'm in Central Europe (Hungary, to be exact) so I should flash the CE ftf because it won't work with the UK one?

Check your access point settings and make sure you have 4G coverage.
Shouldn't be a matter of UK or CE firmware.

I've checked my settings and everything seems to be in order, and I'm in the capital which is covered by T-Mobile.
Interestingly though, I've flashed the CE firmware (without wiping) last weekend and now it seems to register on the 4G network, so it seems that my problem is solved, although I've yet to see the 4G sign when I'm on mobile data.

It might be a case of your data plan monthly date not being reached. Here in France, changes to a subscription are in effect once one reaches the day in the month on which the contract was started (if you started your contract on the 5th of the month, then any subsequent changes will be put into effect on that day).
My own Z1c has yet to show a 4g symbol, but my contract renews with the 4g option on the 25th... Wait and see.

I guess I'll have to wait a bit more.
The whole story is this: I went over my monthly data limit a day or two before I posted this thread, so my net became crazy slow. I thought, might as well look at the mobile data plans again, see if they might have a better option.
Turns out they do have a 4G data plan with 1Gb transfer per month, for just a bit more than what I've paid for my plan before.
So I've switched my plan, and then I realised that my SIM card is probably not capable of 4G because it's basically from the past century.
Now, I have a brand new 4G-capable SIM card, and a 4G data plan that was supposedly activated on the spot, i.e. about a week ago. Still, when I try to connect to the 4G network, this is the message I get:
And it reverts back to the 3G connection.

Unfortunately that seems to be a dead-end as well. As far as I can tell it should be internet.telekom, and it is.

Yeah I probably just have to wait til the original plan expires or something. I'll call them if it's still the same after next week. Thanks for the help and enjoy your device

No. It needs to be SIM unlocked, paid off & not blacklisted. I bought one off of Craigslist. Had the guy meet me at a metro store to verify that it was all good. Fortunately, all went well. It'll cost you $10 for the micro sim card + $15 for the "ESN" change on your account.

It doesn't need to be unlocked metropcs is a T-Mobile mvno they run on the same towers but if you want to unlock it nothing to lose just request for an unlock code but if you haven't bought it yet take other guys advice if buying on Craigslist or if buying on eBay ask for the imei and check the status through T-Mobile

I'm just stating what Metro PCS Corporate told me directly. ALL phones (Including ANY T-Mobile phones) MUST be unlocked. Without exception. Their words - not mine. Was I surprised? Oh yes! I too thought since T-Mobile & Metro PCS are essentially one & the same that one wouldn't need it to be unlocked. NOT so. Don't take my word for it - call their TOLL FREE 888-863-8768 number & ask 'em. They'll confirm what I've said here.

I personally used my old droid dna on Metro pcs. It wasn't sim unlocked, just put a Metro sim in. Granted since I hadn't changed anything else it only got 3g data. But since it is T-Mobile M8 on Metro pcs you should have no issues.
