Send to Phone option - Moto 360

Is there a way to bypass the lockscreen when I choose the option "send to phone." My lockscreen is a simple swipe (the bubble one), no pattern or nonnumerical combo.
Also, when I tell the watch to "take me home," I have to take out my phone each time to set the location because it gets stuck on "calculating route" on my watch and says "check phone to continue."
Any ideas?

The watch is added to trusted devices in lollipop. .. .where you don't need to unlock even if you are on pattern or pin lock as long as you are in blue tooth range
Check out the location for your home is correct in gmaps

I am aware of the trusted device, that's why I mentioned I just had a swipe unlock. No pattern or anything.
It's correct in Google Maps--it even pops up my address on the watch.

Does anybody have a solution to this? It's very annoying (both the navigation and not bypassing the swipe screen when pressing send to phone on watch).

Which phone/ROM you have as it works fine on CyanogenMod?

I'm on the AT&T Note 4. No root or ROMs available yet :\ I could understand there being an issue if I had a alphanumeric or pattern lock-screen, but seeing how I only have to swipe, I'm not sure why it just doesn't bypass it.

Disable lock/slide screen? Is there a way?

OK...
The locks on my phone are very redundant to say the least.
In order to get to my home screen I have to do the following:
1. Press the button on top of the phone.
2. Slide the first lock down.
3. Draw in my security code to get past the lock out.
Step 3 can be shut on and off but I like this security so people can't mess with my phone. However considering I have to do step 1 before and step two also, it seems a tad over kill.
Can I disable step 2, the slide down lock screen?
Basically when I press the button on the top of the phone I want to be RIGHT at the screen where I draw in my lock pattern and or hit emergency call. I was unable to find anything in the settings. Did I miss it or is it really not there? If it's not there is there any other way to do it?
I'll fully rooted if that helps.
Try "No Lock" in the Market. It gets rid of the lock screen (and has a toggle widget). Not sure the effect on the security though.
No Lock gets rid of both the slide to unlock and the security passcode entry. Very handy if you don't care about security, but you get your mail from an Exchange server and they force you to have a security password.
Don't know how to just get rid of the slide to unlock.
i have a droid incredible with the same setup..sorta...i am running virtuous2.7
have u found a way to do this without No Lock?

To verify my understanding, the OP wants to, on his Evo, disable the Sense drag/slide-down screen lock, and only use the pattern lock.
The problem is that the Sense lock remains even when the pattern lock is enabled. (Unlike the Nexus 1, the AOSP screen lock is automatically disabled when pattern lock is enabled).
Are you indicating that Switch Pro Widget will DISABLE the Sense slide-down lock while maintaining the pattern lock?

Would like to know, as my buddy was asking me about this.

If you use cyanogen rom, add power control widget and add the lockscreen option. Any time that widget is off when you hit the power button to unlock the phone you will go straight to pattern lock or home screen if you don't have one.

I would pay for an app/widget that handled this...
delete the sense lockscreen from the phone, it's just a file you can remove. Once you do that the system reverts to the standard aosp lock screen (or the pattern if you have security set).

I'm aware of this mod. People should be aware that you will need root access to delete the file. At the same time, I read that even with the AOSP/standard/vanilla lock screen, it (the standard lock screen) does NOT go away when the pattern lock is ENABLED.
For the Nexus 1, the standard lock DOES go away when pattern is ON, but it does not seem so with the Evo.
Can someone verify/dispute?
Thanks.
I can verify that after deleting the HTClockscreen.apk from my phone Vanilla lock appeared after a reboot. I then enabled a pattern lock only to find the Vanilla lock still necesary before getting to the pattern lock screen.

Thanks. 1st post for CzarMat!!! Exactly my point--we need to find a way to make the Vanilla lock go away when pattern lock is enabled. But how??
This is all a bit redundant if the OP has Exchange security enabled on his device, which he has yet to clarify (unless I missed something).
I'd like an answer to this also...
Post 2.2, I was able to use No-Lock from the market to do exactly what the OP is asking. I have an Exchange account with a Security Policy (PIN) in place and have since upgraded to 2.2. It's a little redundant that I have to hit power, slide to unlock, then enter pin.
My workaround, for now, is setting the PIN lock screen to enable after 5 minutes, however I still have to slide regardless - UGHH, annoying.
I just want it to work the way I had it before with 2.1
is there any way to edit or app that enables a longer time period before the lock pattern screen comes up? LIke i think the max is like 15min
I want to be able to at least set the lock pattern screen to a 1hr interval, maybe 2hr
is this possible somehow?
Well, you can hit the "menu" capacitive button instead of sliding for a quicker unlock to the pattern security screen. That's what I normally do since it's a bit of finger acrobactics from the power button->aosp slide unlock->pattern screen.

I agree. Apparently this is possible, I'm working on a solution right now. Perhaps an app I can release to the market. It will essentially unlock the phone for you - you may see a bit of the lock the second you unlock the phone, but if things go according to plan it will automatically bypass the slide lock for you.
[edit:] Sorry for the zombie thread revival - Still trying to find a solution for this problem.

Excellent news! Still looking for a solution. I think simulating a "menu" press will unlock the screen. Looking foward to it. Thanks!!
anyone come up with a solution for this?

[Q] Lock screen and unlock pattern

Hi All!
I found a few threads on the Internet in different forums with no answer so I thought I'll ask the pros:
When I'm using Pin or Password to unlock the phone, I get the standard lockscreen display before I can unlock the phone, so it goes:
On/Off Button -> Lock Screen -> Pin / Password
The problem is when I'm using an unlock pattern, the lock screen gets skipped, so it goes:
On/Off Button -> Unlock Pattern
This is very annoying since I like to use the lockscreens mute function without having to unlock the phone. Apparently there is no way of changing this with settings so I was wondering if anyone know of a patch or another way to have the lockscreen AND the unlock pattern?
I'm using the Oxygen 2.0 RC6 Gingerbread Rom on my Desire but this seems to be a generel "issue" with stock Android Roms (Hero Roms and Froyo Roms is the same) - Sense based Roms behave different.
Thx for any hint!
*bump*
I am having a similar issue and my searching only found this thread.
While at work (2/3rds of my waking life) I use my phone at work to see where my next appointment is. It's very convenient to just glance down and see what meeting I have next by only hitting the power button. From what I have seen there are a lot of apps which will add this functionality to the lock screen.
The problem is when I add a passcode (required by work) it replaces the unlock screen with the passcode screen. I have seen that other Android phones do not do this, but the Captivate does. I've tried four different roms and all have this same behavior.
Is it possible to have the unlock screen come up, and when the phone is unlocked to prompt the passcode? I can't find a setting anywhere and the third party apps like Flylock have a jarring user experience in this configuration.
Thanks

The purpose of the pattern lock is to prevent unauthorized use of the phone. So it doesn't make sense if you put the lock screen over the pattern lock(or combined them) as you, or any stranger, will be able to issue commands(mute, read messages, weather, music etc. there are lots of widgets running on the lock screen) to the phone BEFORE unlocking it.
The security of the pattern lock will be totally compromised.
So the only choice is pattern lock over lock screen. I don't see how this makes anything easier. And I won't go into how it will create huge security loopholes/bypass the pattern lock completely if widgets or anything is allow to run on/over the lockscreen.
Perhaps I am using the wrong terminology, I should be referring to it as the "Unlock Screen" (Settings -> Display -> Unlock Screen). From this screen it appears that you can:
1) View the time
2) Unlock the phone
3) Mute the phone
4) See the notification bar (Vibrate, Battery, Signal, Pending notifications, etc)
I would actually like to add:
5) Next calendar appointment with location
6) Weather
This is all actions / information I want available at a glance and without unlocking the phone. Once I attempt to unlock I would like to be presented with the pattern / pin security. In this way all my private information remains hidden, but the information I use the most often while walking / driving is readily available.
I am also good with anyone else being able to pick up my phone and perform the actions I listed on the unlock screen. I believe this information is available from the unlock screen on the Windows Phone and iPhone (assuming it's your only notification, their notification system sucks).

That PERMISSION to allow you do issue commands to your phone will compromise the security of the pattern/pin lock screen. You need to understand the core concept of the pattern lock screen is to be secure - no unauthorized use of the phone, whether it's as small as viewing notifications to fullon running widgets/apps.
Plus your definition of being secure doesn't equate to everyone's definition of security. It fine for you to display messages on the securely locked phone but it's definitely not for some of my friends who have really sensitive data on their phone.
I was not trying to advocate this behavior to everyone, just wondering if it was possible to set this up myself. One of the things I like about this phone is that everyone can customize it to fit their own tastes.
Actually, I think I found my solution. Flashed to CM7 last night. The pattern screen still had the behavior as the 2.2 roms but the passcode had the behavior I was looking for.
Well the thing is: When using PIN or Password to unlock, you can actually use the lockscreen to mute etc. before unlocking. And using the original HTC Rom, this is possible using unlock pattern, too. Everyone will have to decide for themself if he cosiders this function a thread to security, its just really annoying that I have to decide between unlock pattern and unlock screen even tho it should not be a problem technicaly. Cyanogen guys apparently have this on their list, but with minor priority. I'm really close to moving back to a HTC rom actually...
this bugs me too.. I like the PATTERN cause it's kind of unique and cool plus when you enter your pattern there is no "OK" key you have to press like you do when using PIN/PASSWORD which for some reason annoys me.. I suppose it's another line of defense against prying eyes that make it that much more work to try different pin options.. I don't know maybe it's to annoy them into giving up?.. Anyways, I've opted to use the PIN option because I too like seeing the Lock Screen and any info it has and I really don't see it as that big a security hole seeing the small amount of info on the lock screen.. unless you're running a ROM or app that has popups for messages and such.. and if it really is then Google should make the behavior that you do pattern then to the lock screen. of course I'm sure their reasoning for this is the pattern is a more difficult form of security to breach so there is benefit and no harm from taking you straight into the unlocked phone once the correct pattern has been entered. that doesn't mean we have to agree with the mighty G on this and I'm sure either Devs cooking in the ROM kitchen could change the behavior if they saw the want in the community, maybe a patch could be made or an app that changes the behavior. anyways, that's my $.02
If any of you guys find a solution around this issue please let us know!
Haven't seen any solution yet, how about you guys?

[Q] Notif Bar/Lock Screen Bug?

When my phone is unlocked and I access any entry in the notification pulldown screen (e.g., weather, email, USB connected......anything), I am taken to the lock screen and required to re-input my unlock pattern (or facial recognition). Since the phone is obviously unlocked when I tap on notification area, this seems like it may be a bug. Why return to the lock screen when the phone is already unlocked?
Is anybody else experiencing this behavior?

Mine did something like that for a little while....i'd just installed golocker but didn't have it set as the correct default I think.
Thanks for your response, Rocket_Science, but since I do not use the GO Launcher EX, I don't think the GO Locker will work on my phone. And I have no desire to install the GO Launcher. Still looking for a fix . . . .
I am going to bump this back up in the hope that some kind soul (who uses a password or gesture protected lock screen) will test their OG and let me know if they experience similar behavior: with your phone unlocked, access the notification pull down and tap on any item (weather, email, etc.). Are you taken to the item or do you return to the lock screen? I always get take to the lock screen and need to re-input my password to get access to the device.
Many thanks.

This seems to be a known issue with Android 4.x when using an application that disables the lock screen for you. I use Llama, and I have it disable the lock screen automatically after it successfully connects to my home wifi. If I click on anything in the Notification area, the lock screen will appear and come up every time thereafter. As long as I don't click on any Notifications, it will not re-lock itself.
This happened to me on my HTC Evo 3D as well, so I thought it was a bug with Llama, but I saw the same issue mentioned with another application that performs a similar action.
This is probably something that would have to be reported to Google.

Trusted places on G3 with lollipop not working as expected

I have lollipop and latest google services installed.
In Security I see an option to add smart lock as trusted agents
Then in lock screen options I select 'pattern lock' as my default and set smart lock to disable lock screen when I'm at home.
It works almost as I would expect it would work. At home I still see lock screen but the 'swipe' one with some apps at the bottom. When I try to unlock, it still asks me for the pattern code.
So it looks like at home it adds 'swipe' lock screen on my pattern one.
Edit:
Funny thing but I can click on the bottom icons and it unlocks without pattern and launches the app.
Still, if I want to unlock to home screen, I need to enter code/pattern/password
Is this an expected behaviour?

Hello every one,
I tried to sync my G3 Smart Lock with my car using bluetooth. My autoradio has been added in trusted devices but when i try to use my g3 on my car i have a padlocker on my screen and when i click on it i have to do my schema anyway...
Any chance that someone has the solution or is it a LG issue ?
thx for your help

I am having troubles with Trusted places aswell. But, from what I can see in my case, the issue is that it requires the correct location for you to just unlock your phone without entering a code, but fails to aquire your current location. A temporary fix would be an app the fetches your location every time you wake your phone. As far as the bluetooth goes. It sounds like the app is having a conflict with always verifying your connected to the device while using it. Just an idea.

Smart Unlock - Trusted Devices not working

I can't get Smart Unlock - Trusted Devices to work on my new GS9.
I have my lock screen set to: PIN, Fingerprints
I have my car stereo added to Trusted devices
In Secure Lock Settings it's set to: Lock the phone 30 seconds after the screen turns off automatically, except when kept unlocked by Smart Lock.
I've attached a couple of screenshots of unlocking it when connected to my car stereo, I don't understand why the first capture says "Phone unlocked by Smart Lock" but when I tap that it tells me to use PIN or Fingerprint.
Does anyone else have this problem?
Anyone have a suggestion to fix?
i have this issue with my Fitbit, my Fitbit is on my wrist at all times but when it comes to unlock the phone i need my PIN or biometrics, when i look in the trusted devices it indicates 'not connected' so i just assume the connection drops when i walk away from my phone and does not regain this connection every time i move near it again.
No idea why, but Smart Lock has all of a sudden started working as expected.
Could I get some more feedback about smart lock feature on S9 ?
I am on the fence for a purchase and would be very interested to use my Xiaomi Mi Band as "trusted device" to be able to unlock the phone with a simple press of the 'virtual' home button, whilst keeping the device secured when I'm not near.
