Image Retention - Moto 360

Hi guys, just got a 360, finally on my 6th go that seemed perfect after having 5 previously with dead pixels or cosmetic damage or both.....charged it, went into the grey screen with settings and can clearly see the charge ring and moto logo!
Does anyone else get this? Does it go? This is new uk stock so im surprised this is still an issue.
If I know it will go over time then I'll keep it, if not then I think I'll call it a day.
Thanks in advance for any help/advice.

You seriously went through 5 with issues? I can't imagine the luck and I thought the image retention was fixed with the very first software update.

[Q] Screen issues, is this common?

My wife just got a T-Mobile G2. Showing her things on it, I've noticed the screen has an odd flicker effect. When I run the screen test application on it, the gray screen shows tons of lines being drawn through the screen similar to an old CRT. I've messed with the brightness and it does not affect it. It does not show on the other colors, only gray. It is like the screen is not drawing properly.
Is this a common problem? I've searched around but had no luck finding anyone with anything similar. Is there any solution? Since we just got it yesterday, I think we can exchange it but it has to go through the mail. Thanks for the help.
Exchange it.

Agreed, that's not normal.
Thanks for the quick replies guys. Sucks that we have to send it back. My wife's going to be disappointed. We just got through her old phone dying and being without a phone for a few days.
Does anyone know if T-Mobile (by phone) would be willing to send out the replacement before we send in the bad phone? How long does this process take? Thanks again.

RMA Failure. Options?

I recently sent my tablet in for repair, and they sent it back seemingly untouched. It came with a paper with my info on it, but under the section listing the issues and the repairs done, both were left blank.
To summarize my issue, it'll randomly freeze during use or idle (not usually idle though) and if I put any pressure on the top left corner of the screen. The freezing sometimes causes screen glitches and after a moment or two, it reboots.
So, What are my options for contacting ASUS and trying to get this fixed/replaced, and what can I tell them I've done to try and fix it that is within the realm of warranty. (Factory reset? Flashed a stock rom? )
Thank you on advance!

ASUS currently has my tablet for the 3rd time. All for the same issue (horrible flickering, screen turning off & on). The first two times they sent it back to me after performing a factory reset only, despite me telling them that I had done that numerous times.
After many many emails/chats/telephone calls I finally got them to agree to not send the device back to me without fixing the problem. I have recorded video of the problem which I e-mailed to them (not sure if that did any good or not).
Anyways, today I finally received word that they replaced the LCD panel and GPS module. My tablet will be shipped back to me today. My first RMA was in October. What a horrible mess this whole process has been.

If you don't mind me asking, who did you email?
From what I can tell all they did was pin a few stickers to my tablet and ship it right back. I'm not even sure they factory reset it. Lot of good it would have done.

Someone named Aaron L, but the emails all went through [email protected]. This is the number I called: 888-678-3688. Calling seemed to work better than e-mail.

New Huawei Watch Classic - Green Display fault

hey guys ...
see the vid and please tell me if its a software fault, i can get cleaned with an fresh software, or is it an hardware fault?
Just got it today
thx mates
really hard to see what your problem is. You camera is auto-adjusting to the change in light. I assume the greenish coloring at around 10sec is what you mean? Never happened on mine. If you do a reset or a complete fresh retail rom flash and it still shows up I would believe it's a hardware problem. Return to buyer or Retail store.
PS: I lived in Leoben for about 2.5 years .

Screen Flash - Happening to you?

I purchased my Pixel 2 XL straight from google and am using it on AT&T. I haven't had any problems at all with this since i got it. Its been about 3 weeks. I did the Nov 5 update last week and just a few minutes ago the screen flashed once while just laying there doing nothing.
I've seen this around the internet where the flash happens when rebooting the phone, but mine was just sitting there on the table with the screen off, and the always on display showing the time and date when it flashed (white). It only flashed once, but, i'm wondering if this has happened to anyone else and if we know what's causing this?
I have the same issue which happened right after the Nov 5 update.
I did a factory reset, boot into safe mode, AOD on and off and the issue still persists.
I'm getting this prob 5-10 times in the past week on my new device that I got from them.

lol I wish... just tried a factory reset on it as I finally just got the recent patch. We will see if it helps it out.
Nice wallpaper!
I saw the article on this on Android Central, which included 2 videos of it. I personally have not seen this screen flash happening on mine.
It's starting to happen more frequently. I had installed substratum and changed a theme, rebooted, and couldn't boot Android so I factory reset the phone and it's been doing it every since, is typically within a minute of shutting the screen off.
I had it happen 2 days into getting mine on the 27th. Google replaced it then because a factory reset didn't fix it. It happened any time I locked the screen and man was it bright when I was in a dark room.
Google Support is sending me a new replacement. Hopefully this one wont have the issue.
Happens on mine too. From what I read, Google is working on a software fix for it.
Replacement phone received (11/14) with a build date of Nov 3. Within 4 days of having the phone a gray band is now appearing at the top portion of the screen and the screen flashes uncontrollably.
Attempted to work with Google Support who in turn had me go through a gauntlet of trouble shooting steps and a factory reset..... I knew none of the steps would work because this is a true hardware issue.
Still no reply from Google Support after I sent them the debug reports, pictures of the gray band that has formed and the video of the screen flashing.

Holy s**t man. This is bad.
I was finally convinced to get the Pixel 2 XL over the Oneplus 5T but then I saw this.. And the fact that this is your REPLACEMENT phone from Nov 3rd is even more worrying. Damn.
Very frustrating... Unfortunately I had to return the Pixel. My 14 day return period ends on 11/21 and I couldn't risk getting a 3rd replacement that could potentially have the same issues.
Its upsetting cause everything else about the phone I love. Back to my LG G5 until i find something new.
Got my 3rd device yesterday, first two were very blue screens this one is much better but it flashes bright white when going into always on display. Not sure if I want to go through all the bull**** again. Google really dropped the ball on the release of this phone, obviously not ready for primetime.

I had something like this happen once so far and was just about to take a screen capture when it resolved. I think it was shifting from the AOD to the main screen after unlocking the device.
It's definitely something to be concerned with if it's happening repeatedly. The more time passes, the more and more questionable Google's decision to use LG becomes...
Google needs to say clear of LG imo.

It is a known issue they'll rma it for this reason. On a side note I had that issue for about 12-24 hours and went away on it's own, no restart or factory reset was required for me. Really wish I knew what or why the cause but maybe it will go away, like mine did. :fingers-crossed:
Thanks I hope so too. Really liking the phone but for this money...
agreed I almost gave up, my first 2 were too blue and the 3rd fine except started that flash, but ultimately went away. Loving this phone!

Mine just started this week flashing. Running 8.1 since last week. Does your new replacement suffer from the same issue as well?
Thanks

Mine started today but it has been getting better as the day goes on. I'm curious if its an issue with charging. Prior to a few days ago I had been only using the chargers with that I've received specifically for the phone, but this week--since I'm traveling for the holidays--I've only been using my pixelbook charger, so maybe something isn't properly shielded and the flash is caused by a built up charge? Reason I think that is that it has been less and less noticeable as the day goes on..

My flashing went away the next day. I did do a factory reset just because I only had it a few days and no issues since. Although Google RMA’d my phone I sent the replacement back without accepting shipment as mine has been running like a champ since.

Got my replacement a week ago, 0 flashes so far (finger crossed). I tend now to think it's a hardware issue. Also blue tint is slightly better on new device...
I just got my Pixel 2 XL delivered to me yesterday. Set it all up, didn't get the flashing screen issue at first but now it's doing it. Tried to chat with Pixel support from my phone, they don't have a resolution for it yet.... Hopefully it's a software issue?
Mine started doing this about 3-4 days ago. I noticed that it starts to do it when night mode is on. If I go the RMA route, this will be my 3rd replacement and tbh I'm not looking forward to doing this.
Mine did it once with always on display on, I don't usually use that so I turned it off and it hasn't happened since.
I just received a replacement device yesterday due to a faulty speaker. No issues with the last device, but this device is now exhibiting the screen flash when locking.

Exact thing with me. I received a brand new device that I got because my previous one had a bad speaker (speaker phone distorted sound). This new one has the screen flashing problem. My original did not. Poor QC ... especially for $850.
Mine has been doing it for a couple of days, and it kept getting worse. On chat with Google Support now. Sounds like it's going to be RMA'd.
