Please Help!!! Bricked - Sprint LG G2

So I got LS980 Sprint LG G2 from ebay. Everything worked fine. First I rooted the phone using stump root, then installed twrp using autorec, and then tried to flash xdabebb's VS980 (I totally forgot that I cannot flash a verizon rom to sprint phone). I had done this same process on verizon phones many times so I did not take a back up. TWRP said flash to xdabebb VS980 was succesfull, but when I reboot, it says "[820] Fastboot mode started [870] udc_start()" I am basically stuck here. I can reboot to recovery but I dont have any other zip files or back up or anything on the phone. I tried connecting to computer using USB but nothing shows up. I tried to use ADB but i dont see the phone when I type "adb devices". Any help is appreciated on what should I do to get the phone working

Make sure you have all your drivers installed, all your adb drivers. Then you might get seen by the system. You would then go with a side load of the proper ROM.

I have all the drivers because I see the phone under device manger connected to COM port.

Might want to try this thread and see if one of these ways gets you going:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2682926

Solved: I was doing all this on windows 8. Tried a different computer with windows 7 on it and LGFlash Tools worked fine untill 94% after which phone rebooted and started the activation process. LGF tools said download failed giving an error "unable to open USB ports" but the phone was up and running.
THANKS A LOT to everyone who helped!!

That is normal on the computer side

the easy way to get back on your phone is doing the restore method using lgnpst tool..there are differents methods guides..
1)AutoLGNPST-tSilenzio.zip
2)LGNPST-PhantomPhreak53.zip
3)lgnpst-shelnutt.zip
so with these tools you can go back to v7 fool unroot and then update it to v8 and v9 ,just you want to make sure if your phone can get the download mode,,,for more information you can go to irc freenode guyz its is a private chat,,,and then ask them about the lgnpst tools link,im sure they will give you more information about it,,,they have the link for both software restore(v7 and v9 .tot files)if not i posted in general the v9 .tot file link, dont worry your phone still alive,i hope adb to push files directly to custom recovery it doesnt work so the easy and method way is restore it!!!

Accessing Recovery Screen (First Step if you have bricked your phone)
This is our initial step for any problems that might arise. If you can access recovery, usually you're in a perfectly fine situation.
1. Power off your phone by holding Volume down & power at the same time.
2. When the screen shuts off, switch to entering fastboot by holding Volume Up & Power. Release immediately once you see a black screen with some text on the bottom.
3. You should see a black screen with some text at the bottom.
4. Press volume down 2x and then the power button.
5. You should see either TWRP or CWM recovery.
6. Wipe Cache, Dalvic Cache, and Factory Wipe
7. Flash new stock zip. Wipe caches again.
8. Restart.

Well good new here for all that brick is that you can go to any sprint store and exchange it as a defective device, but please do all you cn to get it back into working order, simply because Sprint does not have an official rooting policy it simply states "if phone appears rooted , make a note and continue as normal"
Now be ready with the correct verbage as everything in the Sprint world is at managers discretion which simply means a manager can say no and you would have to take it to retention, no body wants this. So just be cool and tell them you did the OTA and this is what happened simple as that. If worse comes to worse just tell ask them to DHRP it since the phone is so new you will get a new 1 anyways.
BUT PLEASE FOR THE SAKE OF ALL US INCLUDING YOURSELF GIVE IT YOUR BEST SHOT AT RETURNING IT TO STOCK , IF YOUR HAVING TROUBLE HIT UP SOME OF THE DEVS ON GTALK , Im sure one of them or I if I am home will do our best to walk you through it.
Hey all i forgot i posted this thread awhile ago sorry kinda just me n my bro went hard at work and finally fixed the phone and i found the probelm.. At the IRC at the time there were different versions of LGNPST i used the one directed to in the guide i used and that was the autoLGNPST and it was version 1.3 but it never recognized the device in download mode so my bro said it had to be a driver issue so im like ok we find a few drivers install just to make sure and at that point we knew that the computer was reconizing the phone because on ADB we can push a file through and i can install a ROM which i did but for some reason it never could install.. it was the lifeless ROM and dont worry i cleared everything but it never booted after that just kept booting into CWM. So im like ok i bring it to the sprint store the next day the Technician wasent there that day so i hada wait till the next day but that night i tried one more time 2 fix this thing and turns out that day the IRC puts up new files and it was a new version of autoLGNPST v2.2 or v2.3 i believe new DLLs and a new .bin file for ZV7 and the old ones were corrupt i used the new files a viola IT WORKED!! BUT... i cant for the life of me get a flippin ROM on here dont matter which ROM i try or if i use CWM or TWRP i cant get a ROM on always either the install fails or i install it and it reboots but just comes up with a blank screen after the LG logo and mind u i use the AiO tool on the forums to unlock the bootloader and root it and install TWRP or CWM and im on ZV8 when im installing them n ive tried many many times and i just wind up LGNPSTing it again backups never work either any help with this would be greatly appreciated

This is what my LGNPST does, it shows an error at 85% saying
"Process: Upgrade_Masterbin
"Subproc : Masterbin Donwload
Cause: Download Failed"
I did what you suggested (hold the power button until the phone powers on? rather powers off, right?) I am in donwload mode and tried taking out the battery and restarting into download mode and repeating the flashing process (unitl 85%) various times... always with the same error message as a result... what is the problem?

[Q] Need help with my E-988

I hope someone can help me.
I bought an LG Pro E-988 which is already rooted and have a nightly CM11 installed.
I saw the LG Flex Rom and tried to install. I hit an error (Status 7), so I restored my back up. It booted correctly and decided to install/run the LG Recovery and Freegee apps as I suspected that the error (Status 7) was because I didn't install the apps before the LG Flex ROM.
After I run FreeGee, I restarted in recovery and tried to install the ROM but still same error (Status 7). So I decided to restore my back up again, but this time around, the boot is not pushing through. I'm stuck in the LG Logo.
Has anyone experienced this before and maybe you can help me to fix my phone.
I admit I got a bit excited rooting and flashing custom ROMs again after 1 year of hiatus.
Thanks in advance!!

Nothing to worry about. Here is a pinned post where you can find all the information you need.
Just download your kdz from here and follow the steps from this post
Download kdz, install lg flashtool, lg drivers, after turning off your phone, press volume up and down together and connect your usb cable to get into download mode, then follow those pictures in that post to flash the kdz. You will be back to stock.

Thanks a lot man :good:! Although, I'm stuck with 'Connection error' in the FlashTool. Is this normal? I tried again and again more than 20 times but I'm getting the same connection error.
Also, earlier I was still able to go to recovery, but now even if I press the power button it goes straight to the download mode.
Hope you can help again.
You cant get out of download mode? did you try volume down and power button together for 5 secs? And btw what error are u getting on flash tool? its not detecting your phone? Did you install the mobile drivers?

The error was in the LG Mobile Support Tool (sorry to in the Flash tool). During the upgrading of the phone it always give the error - 'Connection to server failed. Try again in a moment'
Also, if I try to turn on the phone it will not boot but go straight to download mode.

Did you remove the battery and put it back in? And it still goes to download mode? Try starting the phone pressing Volumedown+power key for sometime or you could try Volumeup+Homekey+Power to boot into recovery and try restoring backup or flashing some other rom and see if you can get out of boot. I really don't know why you are getting that connection problem. I got stuck at boot a couple of times and followed exactly what was given in that post and reverted back to stock. I guess some of the senior members will help you here. Meanwhile ill see if i can search a solution for that connection error, i haven't faced that yet so i really don't know the fix. There is a second TOT method given in that post, that might help.

Yup, i tried removing the battery. Also tried different key combos to boot but it all goes to the download mode, with the small with box in the middle.
I also tried the option of going straight to the LG mobile support tool (not the LG Flash tool). But the same server connectiom error.
Thanks again for the help.
Hope other members can help me too.
Since I'm not able to do recovery using the KDZ file. Can I use the TOT file?
I have E988 Singapore version, but the last ROM installed was with a CM11. And in the Phone details it shows E980.
Will it work or will it just make things worst?

Hard bricked VS985 after ROM flash failure

Sorry, I'm relatively new to rooting and I looked through the threads and found similar problems, but none that seem to exactly match mine.
I have a rooted VS985 that I was trying to flash with the AndroidNow HD 6.1 ROM using TWRP and I guess the flash tool crashed. It was stuck on a black screen for an hour or two so I hard reset it and after that, the phone will only flash the LG logo for a second before the screen turns off and the indicator light alternates flashing red and blue. As far as I can tell, the computer does not detect it when it is in this mode (seems similar to the secure boot issue that some people have been having). I cannot enter download mode (the LG logo flashes on and the indicator light flashes blue once and then both turn off) but I can still boot into TWRP Recovery. When I try to boot into download mode, even while the screen is off, my computer detects the phone as QHSUSB_BULK. Also, when in recovery mode, my computer can detect the phone as a G3 and I can access it with adb tools but I don't know where to go from here. I have tried using the LGFlashTool but I can't seem to access the phone because it will not enter download mode and I've tried reflashing AndroidNow HW 6.1. The flash completes and says it is successful, but the phone still will not boot properly.
Luckily, I got the phone a few days ago from Costco, so there is a good chance I can still return it, but I would like to fix it if I can.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You said you have adb working.
Did you make a backup of your stock download mode at anypoint of time? (Iaf.img)
I guess it can be pushed back using adb, but am not very sure. Even if not, maybe you can take the stock Iaf.img from someone else and try pushing it via adb using this command:
Code:
dd if=/storage/external_SD/stock-laf.img of=/dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/laf
Then you can boot into the download mode using the command:
Code:
fastboot boot stock-laf.img
It doesn't look like I have the stock laf.img backed up. I'll try to get it from someone. Thanks, I'll let you know what happens when I get it.

[Q] Unable to root Sprint G2

I restored a TOT file using lgflashtool to go back to stock ZVE (previously rooted with TWRP), then ADB sideloaded to ZVG. Everything is working fine, but I can't root. I have tried the LG One Click Root (both 1.2 and 1.3) and one from highonandroid but it didn't work either. I have followed the directions exactly, enabling USB debugging and I run as admin. I am succesfully able to get the phone into download mode as well, so that is not a problem. Any ideas? I have searched this forum and didn't see anybody having problems with it so sorry if this is repeated information.
try the script method?
Hey I too have been struggling with the root via one click .. I would be good until the script would be waiting for device and download mode. I eventually uninstalled all the lg drivers and root programs I had installed. Then rebooted computer, reinstalled lg driver and ran the lg root script version 1.2, run the program and be patient. it may take up to five minutes then it will tell you to put the phone in down load mode and reconnect. It recognized the phone immediately and then I waited and waited and waited, then finally the su script completed and then the prompt was to press control+C and then N and reboot. maybe it will work for you but this is where im getting stuck.. good luck if any of this helps.
The graphic interface version worked for me. In download mode make sure it finds it on the correct Port.
If not change it in device settings.
Mine would progress to 90%and stick. After 5 minutes I disconnect, reboot phone and root was there.
Do you know what port the gui looks for the device on by default? Maybe i can assign the port befor executing the gui script.
Did you try stump root? That one worked for me on ZVE.
i
I was able to gain root by one click it would detect my phone try to reboot it in download mode but It wouldn't go into download mode if it makes it that far let it sit there rebooted and ui on computer will ask u to put it in dl mode manually. As for the port I used 41 as if I was doing a tot. Restore I can go into more detail if this is the same issue u r having
Yup. Stump dosent work on zvg. I've installed it despite what I've read and tried it. It tells me. Out says I'm already rooted, but super user tells me I'm not rooted.

Maybe you should try this method. Restore to ZVE and rootz it with Lg one click v1.2. Once you confirmed it's rooted, then adb sideload on stock recovery to upgrade to ZVG. When you upgraded to zvg, try the Lg one click root v1.2 again Usually, that Lg One click root v1.2 will stuck on and take awhile, but it did it's job. Also to change the port number after used the LgFlashtool. Alot time, the port 41 don't work with Lg one click root.
Port 41works for mine

Need help. Flashed incorrect rom on my Vk810.

Im not that experienced but have been playing around trying to learn about roms etc. I used the flashify app to flash a rom but accidentally used the wrong rom. I grabbed the one for the v500 model instad of vk810. Needless to say it messed up. When the tablet boots it stays on the boot image for several minutes then it will attemp to update apps but gets stuck there. I have tried many fixes. The LG mobile tool doesnt work. I try to update recovery. It downloads the update but wont install. I cant force the tablet into recovery with button pushes. I have been able to put the tablet into twrp 2.7.8.1 recovery with droid explorer. From there I have tried to flash about 3 different roms that all say they should work for the vk810 but i get errors with all of them and they fail. Im not sure if there is any hope to get the tablet working again but hope someone can help.
First, I don't think you can use Flashify to flash a whole ROM at all. Definitely not recommended, even if it's is supposed to be capable of doing that. I haven't tested flashing ROMs with it so no idea if it can work or not.
Can you put it in Download mode? If so, install the Verizon LG drivers, reboot the PC and try LG Flash Tool 2014 with the 11A KDZ, you can get the KDZ from the link in my signature. It's easiest to root and put TWRP back on that old stock ROM.
FYI it would have to be in Download mode for the mobile tool to work - just in case you didn't know or didn't have it in Download mode. LG Flash Tool 2014 does the same thing as the mobile tool except the mobile tool re-downloads the newest KDZ every time you try it unless you hack it. It's much easier just downloading the KDZ separately and keeping it on file for times like this to flash with LG Flash Tool 2014.
Just remember, if you use LG Flash Tool 2014, ignore any error it throws at you. Just drag the dialog boxes out of your way, don't press any buttons in error dialogs. 99% of the time, if you just ignore them within 10-20 minutes it'll have successfully flashed your VK810 anyway.
Also, once you install the drivers and reboot, put your original USB cable that came with the VK810 into a USB 2.0 port on the PC, with the tablet completely off, hold the Up Volume button in, connect the tablet end of the USB cable and keep the Up Volume button pressed for another second or two, and you should see a very dim "Download Mode" graphic in the center of the screen. It's very hard to see. The first time you connect the tablet in Download mode to a different USB 2.0 port or Windows installation, it can take up to 10 minutes to actually load the driver you previously installed. Look in Device Manager under the Modem section to see when the driver is fully loaded by looking for the LG device entry there.
Question: I assume you mean TWRP v2.8.7.1, but I was just wondering where you found 2.8.7.1? I've only found 2.8.7.0, not that it's a big deal.
