Your own reading and research is your best answer. Opinions are just like watches; everyone has one, but they all say something different! haha I would suggest reading, then reading some more. A good place to start would be here in the XDA Forums. You should look in Android development and in Original Android development for the TMo Note 2. You might be interested just in some of the data there. You can see when the dev originally posted their rom and you can see how much response there is in the broader community.
So the answer to your question is already out there. It is in each and every rom as each developer rightly gave us a unique perspective. So go read, then read some more, and when you are through there, you might read a little. Best of luck to you!

Recommend a ROM (Stock) with these features?

Hi,
Messed around with Cyanogen 9 and 10 but not a fan of it.
Thinkinkg of just flashing the original Samsung stock ROM but people told me there are ROM's out there that are a deviation of the stock ROM but have a few tweaks, not sure if this actually exists or not. (I'm a noob to rooting).
Original Camera app
Original Video player app
S-Voice
NO Rogers bloatware
No Samsung bloatware (besides S-Voice, which I don't consider bloatware)
I know these are Samsung / TouchWiz features so I am not sure if it's possible to find a ROM that has this.
Basically I was pretty happy with my GS3 before I rooted it. The only thing I hated was the carrier/samsung bloatware bogging down system resources. I'd rather keep it on (basically) the stock ROM for now if it means retaining the original TouchWiz video/camera/s-voice apps.
Any idea if this is possible?

Check out the Development Forum. Pick and choose
the development forum and the lingo used in there is bloody daunting to me,
anything you'd recommend beyond just me looking through massive threads for 50 different "stock" ROMs?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1903437
This will get you up to speed on the lingo.
kind of funny how I've already been given 3 suggestions for ROM's in the development forum
yet someone in there has chastised me for daring to post this question in the development forum

Get used to it. Unfortunately for every positive response you get, you get another 9 that complain about something you're doing wrong. Just ignore those posts. Eventually one of the good people from this forum will help you out.

Dude have you tried an S Voice and Google Now alternative that JUST came out?
It's called Maluuba .
I just installed it and best of all it is FREE!
They have a widget for fast access and I LOVE IT!
Absolutely amazing, easy to use, intelligent, very seamless and beautiful.
Give it a shot. I know you WON'T BE disappointed!
I just use the stock ROM nothing custom, the only thing I did was freeze the Bloatware apps with Titanium Backup... I am a very happy camper
I'm really liking Triune II by Nunhugger. If you stick with The Father theme, its stock looking. Its TW based and rock solid.

It is usually because questions like this don't belong in the Development section. Also "Best ROM" threads are generally frowned upon, but this on seems like it might have some validation and it isn't turning into a pissing contest. I'll keep this one open for now as long as it doesn't stray too far.

Unfortunately you are right about this. OP, just let those type of posts roll off your back. It isn't personal, but if it gets to be just report it and we'll take care of it.
I like using either kyanROM 1.5 or Wanamlite 1.3. Both stock, no bloat.

[Q] recommended touchwiz rom

well, I got brave and rooted my S3, and was looking to go further by trying a rom.
This is my first smartphone, so I don't have a lot of experience with different models, but I like touchwiz, and enjoy S voice and search google via voice to text. Actually, there is not a lot about this phone that I don't like. That said, I always believe a product can be made better.
I read a post somewhere a few days ago where someone commented that they had tried a variety of roms, but ended up going back to a modified sammy rom because Cyanogen and AOKP roms removed all of the stuff that made his S3 special. He commented that it made it feel like a 2 year old Nexus. Not having tried any of these roms, I cannot vouch for the truth in this, but it makes sense, and I too want my S3 to be "special... plus"
Some of the things I'm looking for in a rom are
keeping s voice
a toggle mod
some debloating
Beats audio, or similar
I would like a translucent status bar (is that what is called?) .. the thing you pull down from the homescreen
Free GS3 might be an option, but its a T mobile port, and I'm not sure about it.
any recommendations are certainly welcome.
Thanks...
Re: [Q] ROM Suggestions
Welcome to android!
Before a mod shuts this down because these types of threads don't get to stay and your in the wrong section as well. I will tell your best bet is to read, read some more and then try some out. There a lot of great roms but your the only one who will know if its right for you.
Good luck!

thanks. My bad, whats the right section?
noobs like me can't post in the developers forums
BTW, I've been reading, and reading and reading some more, but recommendations are always welcome.
I did run across a similar thread, but of course it was a general android question, not specific to At&t, which is what I have.
This is very simple if you want a reliable non bug all features working rom... just stay with stock... all other roms are not perfect, they will give you some but it will also lack on something, I have try them all and always come back to stock.

Thanks, I had considered that possibility, but thought I would ask.
Q&A Should be where questions go. I would also say there are many solid stable roms. Read, read and try as many as you want. All phones are not 100% the same and your apps and setups can effect how it runs.
Good luck

There are multiple threads in this (General) section and the Q&A section. Please search and read those threads for opinions, options, etc. Moreover ROMs are a personal choice, and are subjective to user experience. I'd suggest making a nandroid backup, flash a ROM, if you don't like it, restore your backup and try another.
Thread Closed.
P.S. Welcome to Android and XDA.

goes back to who needs the stinken rules!! Who needs to actually read threads...I came from S4 verizon forum and the number of questions on the same topic that was posted practically daily because of pure laziness was unbelievable...we had posters who said they were too busy to read any threads and wanted an answer right now!!

Short answer: yes. The phone came out a bit more than a month or two ago. Developers cannot just whip these things together. It takes time and the right kernel and configurations. We don't want a messy ROM circulating simply for the sake of having an AOSP ROM.
Also, it's possible some developers do not want to focus on a ROM for a phone in which only one carrier has an unlocked bootloader. That certainly can make some hesitant, mainly because it's tougher to work with limitations. Take Cyanogenmod. Their developers hesitate to work on this phone for that very reason, as an example. They simply do not want to work on a ROM just for one model with an unlocked bootloader.
Give it time, friend. It'll come.

I don't know why people are thirsty for AOSP ROMs for T-Mobile devices. You lose WiFi Calling with pretty much every AOSP ROM I've seen, and that is T-Mobile's killer app. Not like there's anything out there that's gonna replace it.

Bingoboomshakalaka! Plus, the LG stuff is unobtrusive and occasionally useful. While I would play with AOSP, it couldn't be a daily driver for me.

Why can't we have one thread discussing AOSP without people, who obviously have no interest in it, coming in and flaming people who do? We get it, you all don't care about AOSP on your precious TMobile phones, that is fine. Can't you let those people who DO CARE talk about it in peace? I wouldn't walk into a restaurant serving food I didn't like and start shouting "why are you eating here? I don't like this food".. I just wouldn't go there. Please try to respect that other people have different tastes, in food and ROMs, and let us discuss what we are excited about without crapping all over every thread with this "AOSP doesn't have wifi calling, AOSP doesn't have LG apps, AOSP doesn't wipe my ass for me" nonsense. We know that, and we are still interested, if you are not, just leave us alone.
I tried out the other test version but its 4.4.2, I hope we get a test build of this one rather soon.

This was a few days before aosp announcement and it was about people posting in the wrong sections not aosp.

Best aosp rom?

Hi all.
I'm coming from Verizon to sprint, reason being almost all of their phones have locked bootloaders, and I've finally had enough of it.
With the release of the note 4 that came out some months ago, I need advice. A major reason I switched was because I wanted a phone that i could flash an AOSP rom onto and theme using the CM12 theme engine. That said, I'm wondering what do you guys consider the best AOSP rom to be in terms of stability, battery life, being cm12 theme engine compatible, and just overall personal preference. I just wanted some opinions before i actually go out and buy the phone.
Thanks in advance
Buy a nexus 6 , i had it if you love those kinda roms you will be in heaven. I hate those kinda roms so i sold it and got a note 4. But if you have the note 4 already try cm website i think they support note 4 too not sure but if they most things work fine. Goodluck
Well best is completely subjective to the user.
What is best for someone may not be best for you.
#1 rule on XDA is search and do your own research. If you go to the development section you can read about each rom and decide for yourself which ones you may want to test drive.
As for your thread since you are asking a question and a request for assistance from others it belongs in the Q&A section.
Thread moved.

Best Rom for Sprint Note 4?

Hey guys,
Hope you're all doing well.
I've been following xda for the past 1.5 years, I'm a student studying abroad and I use my phone almost all day.
I just want to know from a person who has more knowledge than me about which is the most stable, bug free and best rom for the Sprint Note 4 model?
I can not keep up with different rom topics or posts because of my personal routine. Now you might be thinking this guy is a noob he doesn't want to search for himself, but tbh I've already tried the Emotion Rom and it has been a bad experience. So just please surprise me.
Hoping for a positive answer.
Regards,
Zeekay.

Not many people like answering questions like this, so to not offend any of the Devs. But i already gave some similar info on a previous post here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=71247433&postcount=25
Besides the roms i mention in the above post, there's also LineageOS, which wasn't out then. It's an Aosp rom and you can find it here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/note-4-sprint/development/rom-lineageos-14-1unofficial-t3573327
Also which Emotion rom did you try? The one from this sprint section by SaintZ93? If not, I suggest you give it another chance.
To sum it up, the most current up to date roms out there for the sprint device are as follows:
AOSP:
LineageOS
EmotionOS
Touchwiz:
Dtux Rom
UN7 Rom
Maybe if you want just pure stock Note 4, you can try the Stock QB3 Rom, I have posted on here.
If anyone feels i left anything out, feel free to correct me!

Yes I tried the one SaintZ93 posted. I'll take a look at the roms that you've posted. If I get time, I'll try one of them to see which one I can use as daily driver.
Thanks.
