Hi everyone,
Currently running the older DFT rom on my hd2. I am looking to upgrade the OS. Suggestions? Also, should the same radio rom I used, be used again. I've been trying to cram my brain with as much info as possible here. Really great site! Anyway. I'm in Chicago, using t-mobile.
Thanks in advance!

Wrong Section
Do you know that this section is for Android Development and not for questions. If you go back one subforum, you will find a section called "HD2 Android Q&A". That is where this question should be posted.
Mod please move to the Q&A section
To answer your question: There is no best rom, you will have to try some to find the best. Every HD2 is a little bit different and users tastes are different. Flash, flash, flash and you will find your perfect rom.
think this is posted in the wrong section m8
On the subject no-one can tell you what the best rom is other than yourself each persons needs differ
miui - sense - ics are just a few of the many choices you have best to just tesdt run a few see what best works for you
Personally i prefer miui for overall performance battery life and ease of use
sense roms are more sluggish but have more eye candy
ics is the one to go for when all the bugs are fixed i would stay clear just now unless you want to contribute to beta testing
Yeah, I'm really sorry. I noticed right after I posted it. I was actually in the process of searching for a moderator as I got your reply.
Sorry again and thanks!
I've been reading alot...and... well I'm not sure. I returned my Nexus 4, for various reasons. So I am looking at either the GNII (Note 2), or the GS3.
I am on AT&T btw.
I am mainly wanting a good CM-AOKP rom that will give me stock goodness with all the extra lovely settings. I'd rather not have anything experimental.
Someone told me this phone was just recently unlocked? If he was correct? So am I to assume there are no good daily driver roms?
Can people for god sake stop posting questions in random sections and post in Q&A section?
to be nice an answer your question no one can answer that what fits someone else wont fit you its a trial and error thing, just keep try them until you find the one best suited for you...
Are you looking to buy an at&t version? If yes then this is not the right forum. This is for international GN III. Recently unlocked? You mean verizon GN III bootloaders? If yes then please read more before buying
what? the last part makes no sense at all. and wrong section bro

I'm still on stock and don't intend to switch until something really interesting comes along. has been treating me great and it's fast without all the trouble of custom roms.
In feom Mexico and I have a t-mo s4, recently y had the MI8 from GE but after few days I strated to have some strange behavior so I want to install another rom that could give me better response. What rom you guys recommned?? I like the Tw based rom.

I would recommend Wicked v7 Custom rom, it has all the bells and whistles which make a rom and the phone so great.
It's fast, smooth, lag free and everything a custom rom should be. Give it a try, you will not be disappointed........
Here is the link for the Wicked v7 custom rom for the M919 Tmobile Samsung Galaxy S4 phone:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2265998
They frown I comparing ROMs and staying debates over which is better - and just asking what people like is a little silly. What do you WANT? A stock Touch Wiz experience with all the Samsung and T-Mobile bells and whistles? Stock android? Simple and uncomplicated? Super-configurable? Highly optimized for performance, or battery life, or storage space?
I'd love to see a thread with links to the appropriate ROM thread and a Twitter-sized expansion if what's unique and noteworthy about the ROM (probably written by the dev), so there's a simple place to start comparing.

Try BeanStalk and your TW worries are over
I recommend the ROM that you like best.
I have used Wicked, Infamous, and ALPHA. I personally prefer Alpha as it's an international base which is updated more regularly than t-mobile is.
dont u guys read the rules... ... this thread will probably be locked soon..

Best ROM threads are very subjective, dependent on many different criteria.
I have a strange feeling that this Best ROM thread will go the way of all the other Best ROM theads.......Locked
What I have done is looked through the past 50 pages in the Q&A Forum, and have linked to all the Best ROM threads which have been Locked, listed from the newest to oldest. Although the number of Locked
Best ROM threads will continue to grow.
There are so many, that ironically these Locked threads have become their own source of ROM information, although ROM versions are constantly updated and new ROMs are emerging all the time.
So as is always said, it is suggested to go into individual ROM threads, read about what features they have, their feedback, ask any questions you may have, etc., and try them out to see which ROM suits your taste and works best for you

You know how it is here in xda, we need to find something for the moderators to do
or they will fall asleep, at least we are not cussin', fussin' and fightin' about anything.
What better way to keep em awake than talking about the best roms or our favorite roms? LOL

How can there be so many "best" roms, something must be wrong...
I always thought that only one rom could be the best.
I bet out of all those best roms you found only one is truly the best, the rest are all second class.

Yes, they are All the Best, so the search for the Bestest ROM in the Whole Wide World has Officially ended, and we will not see or hear about anymore Best ROM threads....
The illusive search is Officially over......
And now back to reality
The Best ROM is............. Drum Roll please.......
To be found in the next Locked Best ROM thread:cyclops:
XDA is a development site not a support site. As such members are expected to do the research, read through the development threads and decide what is BEST for them. The only results that would be posted here are what each member has found to be BEST for them by experimentation based on their phone/usage/setup/apps/signal strength. Please take the time to read through those development threads to learn all about the software you are about to drastically alter your very expensive device with.
Sorry for the inconvenience and thank you for your cooperation.

Have a great day!
I have the s4 tmobile version running kitkat and I just rooted and put twrp on it.
I was wondering if there is any current roms that aren't incredibly bugged or are just plain stupid.
my baseband version is m919uvufnb4
I only have ever flashed things on my tablet so i am fairly new to phone roms and even tmobile for that matter so I don't know the good developers.
I've been enjoying Insane Kit Kat.
Sent from my SGH-M919 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
I've also been using Insane Kit Kat rom. Loving it. go to http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s4-tmobile/development and you will see posts about lots of different roms. If you are unsure about them then read the forum posts about it and if that doesn't answer your questions then post it in the forum for the rom you have questions about. There are quite a few different roms. Some are modified versions of what is currently on your phone and others are based on other builds. I would recommend if you want wifi calling stick with roms that are based on Touch Wiz.
Please note, threads asking for 'which ROM should I use" are not permitted on XDA.
They inherently degrade into arguments over which ROM is 'best'. And that is an illogical discussion with no answer because no ROM is best.
Only YOU can determine which is the best rom FOR YOU based on your needs and usage. What makes a great ROM for me might be an awful choice for you.
As such the ONLY way to determine the right ROM for you is to read all the first posts of ROM threads to narrow down your options then try a few out. Try out some touchwiz and some AOSP. It's like buying a car. You find 3 or 4 you want to test drive then give them all a spin before choosing.
Plus, you will no longer be new to phone ROMs after this process. You will learn quite a lot from just one round of this. And that is a gift that keeps on giving.
hi,
im coming off tweaked rom for the better part of a year and wanted to hear some thoughts on some good touchwiz based roms with wifi calling for tmo note 2
thanks you

Your own reading and research is your best answer. Opinions are just like watches; everyone has one, but they all say something different! haha I would suggest reading, then reading some more. A good place to start would be here in the XDA Forums. You should look in Android development and in Original Android development for the TMo Note 2. You might be interested just in some of the data there. You can see when the dev originally posted their rom and you can see how much response there is in the broader community.
So the answer to your question is already out there. It is in each and every rom as each developer rightly gave us a unique perspective. So go read, then read some more, and when you are through there, you might read a little. Best of luck to you!
