Ok. So you have root? No custom recovery? Are you being prompted for an OTA that is not installing. What are you attempting to flash through download mode?

[Q] Galaxy Note II N7100 DEAD can I warranty it?

We have a N7100 that can go into download mode. In Odin it just keeps reporting that 'can't open serial (com) port. Same with Heimdall. Just trying to get to factory image.
c'mon
Or can someone just boot their N7100 into download mode and tell me what yours says? Rooted or stock will tell me.
can help but heres what mine says (not rooted and 100% stock) running 4.1.1
ODIN MODE
product name: GT-N7100
Custom Binary download: no
Current binary: samsung official
system status: official
Thank you. I was pretty it wouldn't warranty with that output.
Somehow going to have to revive it otherwise it's just a dud.
Been at it all day... sigh...

Stuck at Samsung Logo screen after flashing back to stock firmware

This is what happened:
First I had Android 4.3 with KNOX
Then I flashed CyanogenMOD 11
I hated CyanogenMOD and tried to go back to stock firmware.
I downloaded the stock firmware from samfirmware.com and flashed with ODIN 3.09
Now i'm stuck on the Samsung Logo Boot Screen.
I have tried:
Reflashing
Using KIES emergency firmware recovery
Boot using safe mode.
Can you guys please help!?
Any error message in Odin? What is your current bootloader and which exact firmware are you trying to flash?

As your Knox counter says 1 I suppose you are trying to flash an older knox-enabled bootloader over a newer one.
Easiest way to succeed is to flash 4.4.2 firmware instead.

[Q] Issues with bootloader

Whenever I was upgrading to a Kitkat custom Rom.
I faced Boot loop issues.
I upgraded my bootloader to DN3 V5 via ODIN but still the same bootloop issue.
I thought of restarting from scratch and while i connected my note2 via odin I used PIT_N7100_16GB_20121102.pit (pit file) and N7100XXDMG1_N7100ODDDMG1_INU_Prerooted in PDA file I am stuck in
"sboot.bin nand write start failed"...
Please help...
In download mode its showing
"Product Name: GT-N7100
"Current Binary: Samsung Official
System Status: Custom
Knox Warranty Void:1
AP SWREV: A2
SW REV. Check Fail. Device:2 Binary:1
Waiting for a wayout to start using my note2
Thanks a ton in advance...
If you've been 4.3 or 4.4 then you can not go back to 4.1.2. If more than bootlaoder MJ5 will not return
DMG1 is a 4.1.2 rom
sorry my english

Try other 4.4.2 rom. Ketain, DN3...etc .
Your warranty is over, because the knox varranty is 1.

soft-bricked i747m

i had my s3 i747m on cm13. i was having a lot of problems with bluetooth. so i tried going back to stock firmware and i bricked my phone. i can still access download mode.
with odin running as admin or not, this is what it says when i try to install stock rom in download mode:
ODIN MODE
PRODUCT NAME: SGH-I747M
CURRENT BINARY: Custom
SYSTEM STATUS: Custom
QUALCOMM SECUREBOOT: ENABLE
Warranty Bit: 1
BOOTLOADER RP SWREV: 2
SW REV CHECK FAIL : Fused 2 > Binary 0
i've tried looking for solutions, but all say the same thing...which is to use odin and install the stock rom file.
i had twrp recovery installed if that helps.

OMFG!! thank you!! it's working again with cm13! i was pulling my hair out lol.
i just reflashed twrp with odin and it started to work. i guess it was just the recovery files damaged?

Yes, sometimes stock images won't flash because the bootloader version is lower than the one you have.
